I have a Sprint Moto X. The outgoing ringer has a crackling/static sound to it. does anyone else get that?
If I did, Sprint/Motorola would be sending me a new Moto X
I get a kind of crackling sound also on outgoing calls while it is ringing I'm also on Sprint but I don't get it during the actual phone call only the ringing weird just tried it again its more of a fuzzy noise when volume is all the way up one volume click down and it goes away

While I am listening to a voice-mail through Visual VoiceMail I am unable to change the volume level while the phone is to my ear and the screen dark.
When I move the phone away from my ear and the screen lights up, I am then able to adjust the volume of the ear-speaker.
Is anyone else having this issue?
Another concern
I also noticed that I cannot change the volume while the phone is to my ear when I am on a call. So whenever the phone screen goes dark, the volume cannot be changed.
Is there a setting to change this?
I noticed this issue too and it bothers me a bit. It seems like this is a small bug that needs to be addressed in an update.
From what I have noticed, you can still change the volume with the phone to your ear while it is dialing, but once the person picks up, you have to pull the phone away from your ear in order to change the volume.

Iam on JB, when answering/calling, when clicking button on headset MUTES the call rather disconnecting.
It was working fine in GB.
If I understand your problem.
And if you use ICS or JB check in settings option called as "In-call volume controls.". You find it in advanced or device settings. I don't remember exactly.
You'll have to do low microphone volume.
I'm talking about the annoying double beep (almost like call waiting) the phone makes when i receive a text while im talking to someone. I still want notification sounds when im not on a call so I dont want to silence them enitrely. I dont remember this happening on my One X, is this a new thing?
Wait, your phone had sound when you received a message during a call?
I never had this "issue"

Yep, I get a short double tone (like call wating but shorter and two of them) every time I get a text and Im on a call. Heard in the earpiece or over bluetooth, not from the phones speaker. Never had this before I upgraded to the One from the One X. Cant figure it out without turning off all notifications.
My moto's earpiece speaker sometimes makes noise while i m in call, whenever incoming calls come it persists but if i call back then no problem . Also sometimes the speaker goes completely off that i couldnt hear from it so i have to switch to loudspeaker to answer then it works
The problem was same when i was on stock and it still happens when i am on blisspop v3.2
How to. solve that now??
Dear XDA Members,
My phone is Moto X 2013 model (XT1053). Its an AT&T unlocked phone, I m currently using it in the UAE with Etisalat carrier.
After the Lollipop updated Im having trouble with my ringer volume.
The ringer volume works fine after a restart of the phone for the first caller. Once the second caller calls there is no more ring volume even though ringer volume is turned up. Even if the first caller calls after the second caller there is no ringer volume.
However if the first caller calls twice after a restart both the time I can hear the ring tone. The problem starts only when a second new caller calls and from then until I restart the phone again there is no ringer volume.
Team please help me with your suggestions! I have tried clearing Partition Cache and Factory reset. The problem remains.
I'm wondering if its due to the fact that its an AT&T phone on a different network. I've disabled the AT&T address book and other AT&T related apps, however the problem remains.
Please help!
Any suggestions anyone...?
