Wifi still doesn't want to work for me. I'm on a 12b debloated rom if that makes any difference. I did wipe cache/dalvik to see if that did anything but it's still not working.

I just wanted a custom kernel for stock that supported gamma corrections. My screen has a slightly bluish tint. Works perfectly so far. Seems snappier than stock after making some minor tweaks using FauxClock app. I'm very happy with it!:good:

Yes. With 0.5.0 he updated his Linaro compiling to something newer I think. I got 37,000 in Antutu, normally 35,000 with stock 12B. Obvi the overclock helps, but everything else feels smoother, it has SIO, me likey!
I am using Malladus ROM and flashed this but when it rebooted, I was stuck at a black screen that said something about Fastreboot started. I let it sit there for a few minutes but nothing happened. Did anyone else have this problem?

Interesting, I got much lower scores. I understand fixing the cheating but I get scores well below what a MotoX did and only 2k points higher than my DROID DNA.
In all fairness it's not just this kernel but all 4.4 ROMs on my phone as well.

How is battery life on this compared to the stock kernel? I have just tweaked my stock 12B ROM a bit (xposed, debloat, greenify, etc) but was hoping to enhance battery life somehow on the stock ROM.

This is the latest available stock kernel (2.6.32.17-g9a2fc16) for Sense-based Incredible's. Nothing has been modified by me, it's the actual binary built by HTC. It's included in my 10/13 stock release (from a few days ago) but figured anyone on Sense may be interested in it. Before anyone asks, I don't know what's different. We don't have the source for this yet and HTC doesn't exactly provide a change log.

Yes on both. The custom kernel will remain an option, albeit unchanged since source is not available yet to update it.

Works great on Skyraider 3.3 charging speeds have doubled, almost 1 percent a minute. Fast, stable, and battery life seems as good as stock 2.2 kernal...maybe even better just havent had enough time to do a full test yet.
Thanks for this.
Tired of Kings kernals always slowing down my phone and maybe with this and perflock set to be disabled on boot with SEPCPU I can keep my screen off profiles to save on some more battery life.
Just won't be able to o/c yet but not like I did much before anyway.

It's not that I'm not satisfied with the kernel I run, it's just that I'm certain there's some better one out there.
EDIT: What do you think of the kernel labeled Tiamat_N1-v4.1.0? From here: http://tiamat-dev.com/mahimahi/

Running on 1704Mhz. With extra 100, 50 and 25Mhz step. So it runs 25 to 1704 instead of 200 to 1400.
Custom bootanimation support. (Standard bootanimation wont work)
Triangle away support.
Update N8000BRV2 (ICS)
-better voltage settings
-better wifi drivers
-BFQ scheduler back
-updated linux version
-other minor tweaks
Update N8000Jelly_OC
-Build for JellyBean

Check my sig for some git tips... which reminds me, Pulser asked me to write up a more detailed guide with more tips (such as how to handle branching and how to handle source releases for test kernels).
Once you've gotten familiar with git, github is as easy as "git push origin". Long-term, good git discipline will greatly improve your development workflow.

Issue with 5GHz Wifi
After applying this Kernel I was unable to connect to any of my 5GHz WiFi networks. Upon reverting to stock Kernel, the problem resolved.
Kernel seemed stable in all other aspects.
Running Stock XXALI1 (Rooted)
Thanks
OK - I took the plunge and tried this on a N8013. Only issue I have found is, as mentioned by MintyTrebor, with wifi. Both my 2.4 and 5Ghz work (as well as tether to the phone), but will occasionally disconnect - all I have to do to get it back is turn wifi on/off and things are good. Running at 1.6 on all cores (system tuner), very snappy (nova launcher). Benchmark tests really bumped up with this kernel. No problems with pen apps. Had one freeze, but that was after I'd installed twrp recovery.
Think I'll leave this kernel on for another day and see how the battery life is. Be great if someone could crank one of these out specifically for the N8013 to get rid of the wifi issue.
Thanks for testing kernel. Im gonna build kernel for 8013 and 8010 within 24 hours.

Create a nandroid backup and try pureperformanceX. I'm using that with Validus 13's KK rom and it is fast with great battery life. I also turn off all animation in Developer Options as well.
I've used PureperformanceX on my LG P930 and it works quite well.

Like stated I've turned off animation options and I use Lagfix (had to grab the apk from google) and I run that periodically and also DU Battery Saver has an "optimize" shortcut that ends background processes. I also underclocked my cpu to run at 1ghz instead of 1.5ghz seems to have helped me also.

They are few and far apart from what they were. But as stated above, once all the aosp Roms are using 4.4 source it will be a thing of the past.

nice it was originally why I sold the phone i've been with the moto x but just sold that and will have the g2 again on thursday it is a much better phone I am glad the reboots have been solved.
There are never any reboots/SODs on stock based roms. But even after source etc, CM/AOSP will never be as stable IMO. e.g on my GS3 I would still get a reboot sometimes running AOSP months after the roms were stable.

The aosp Roms still based on the 4.2 kernels are still having issues. Only one that I didn't was liquid smooth.
Mahdi has a beta out right now thats based off the 4.4 kernel, and all that trash is a thing of the past.
Smooth as hell, no reboots/sod's, no lag freezes, Bluetooth is much better.
If you have a Vs980, jackpotcalvin made a cm11 build based off the 4.4 kernel, and it for the most part is positive, but he doesn't work on it anymore, and cm doesn't care enough to develop for our phone anymore. (Too busy with samjunk)
Anyways, Mahdi has a beta that's 4.4 and paranoid android has a 4.4 beta as well. Both are smooth, though Mahdi has all the customization and is smoother for me then what pa is.
Pa is nothing but a base. Not many features.
