I now have a problem that I can't seem to find the solution...
My phone gets really bad 2G reception, 3g is normal but 2G is really bad, I tried another SIM card but with the same result...
Can it be a Radio flash imcompatibility? can it be it? If not what can be causing this? Can it be hardware related??
Please help me get around this one...I love my G1
PS: I tried tons of ROMS already and tge end resolt was the same...
And please excuse my bad english
Thanks in advance!!

EDIT:
just wanted to say that i founf the solution, the problem is that the GSM radio, disconnects and we have to restart it manually...
i dont know the cause of this problem but if it happens to you, this i what i did to fix it.
1) to to market
2)download a download creator software like "any cut"
3)open any cut
4)do the fallowing sequence: New shortcut---activity---phone info (a shortcut should be on you screen now)
5)close any cut
6)open phone info
7)scrool down to "Turn off\on Radio" press the botton once.
8)now press it again until it reads "Turn off radio"
if not working go to:
1)any cut again---activity----data synchronization
2)open data synch
3)resynch everything
if not working
1)Replace SIM card
if not working
1) open your phone
2)check if any coaxial cable has come loose....
if not working (not sure about this one)
1)check your flashed radio version
2)ask for advice here...
hope it helps...

Hey guys have some updates on this...
I did all the steps above including updating the radio...it looked like it had fixed it but it got worse...
so i reverted to an older radio one that ends on 26I...
Reverting to an older ratio version did make it better but it still disconnects once a day...is this the stock radio is is there an older one?
in going tobring everything to stock and see if it works, i cant have this happening on me....
ill keep you posted...
regards
Ive had a look around and i cannot find anything so i thought i would post a thread.
basically i want certain apps etc to think that i am connected to wifi when really i am using my 3g data. This would also help solve my MMS problem as i only receive them while i am on WIFI, so tricking my phone into thinking its on wifi would solve this issue.
Thanks for your help, any help in the right direction would be useful
Hi All,
I have been having this problem with any firmware based on stock .290 and .136. Be it Whatsapp or Line or Viber. Anything that sends an Audio message comes out garbled, which is extremely annoying.
The weird thing is.. this becomes PERFECTLY fine when I open the the SIM card port.. I seriously fail to see the connection to MIC performance here.. with the port being open! so it's just weird!!
I have downgraded to .257 for now due to this bug.
Can anyone on .290 or .136 try whatsapp audio messages and see if the problem exists for them too?
Thanks all!
LaMMi
You have 2 microphone on Z1, when you record the voice message, speak to the one on top behind Led Notification/Phone Call Speaker.
BTW, Whazzapp always had this problems.
Unfortunately, this doesn't solve the problem neither..
It's really weird because it affects normal phone conversations as well but not as much.. I can use what's and click on the paperclip icon and actually RECORD a voice clip and it will come out fine... just when I use the audio button, it comes out garbled!
So damn weird!
Probably cheap codecs and the option in Whazzapp was always like that and many reported to have problems. Maybe with the next update Whazapp will fix that but now how do that I don't know. Just use different app to record voice messages and send them via whazz.
Download the new beta of WhatsApp here before it hits the Playstore.
It seemed to have solve the problem for me

As stated in this topic. The only alternative is to click the thumbnail icon in a chat, select audio and choose what's app recorder.
That will allow u to send a voice note the old fashioned what's app way without the garble. Even still I've experienced app and phone freezes when trying to listen to voice notes via what's app. So hopefully the next update fixes it.

Thanks all for the replies...
glad to know I am not the only one experiencing this problem.
I will surely report back when I have more details/fixes
Just updated to MonX .136 and installed the beta whatsapp version suggested by slimldj..
whatsapp still has some form of garbled messages but it's 90% fixed.. it's good enough for me to use 4.3 based rom now!
I hope others will find this information useful.

I was going to post a new topic specifying this exact problem (although my phone doesn't seem to benefit from opening the SIM flap).
This garbled recording is driving me nuts, it worked fine on .257. I'm also in a Z1 (C6906) .290 based rom (iHackers).
Is there some way this problem can be solved? Any help or input will be greatly appreciated.

Hiya Aldo!
I was having this problem actually all the way until around 3-4 days ago when Whatsapp got updated. I was using the workaround by "attaching" an audio clip instead of pressing down the button to speak.
Without changing rom (Monx .136), I just updated whatsapp to version 2.11.175 and now it is working 100% fine now.. The audio comes out clear and loud when played back...
Hope this helps, please post back of your results!

Hey guys, I have successfully modified the firmware 1.03 for NEX4100 in order to flash on my NEX4000. Long story short it worked! however the ONLY feature that does not work is the BT Audio connection. I can't stream audio or mic with this firmware.
Android Auto works though. My original thread on AVIC411 is here.
http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/80945-upgrading-nex4000-to-nex4100-work-in-progress/
I am wondering if there is anyone here that is willing to dive into the firmware with me to see if we can't fix this one last problem. If someone is interested in helping me complete this transition it would be much appreciated and would make a TON of people happy as I am so close to having it 100% functional. Also please feel free to discuss this here as well as I feel the conversation might move faster here at XDA.
Man, you deserve a cookie Awesome job, for sure there are a lot of peoples that will appreciate it

Thanks, it was easier than I thought at first, I over did it the first time around. I went ahead and posted my method on the forum above since its relatively straight forward however the ONLY problem at the moment is BT Audio. It seems the BT Audio toggle option in the NEX menu is locked in the "off" position and this setting is apart of the USERDATA folder of the FW update and I can't / don't know how to read this file (its a .prj format).
If anyone here with a smarter brain than I is willing to take a look at that file and see if there is anything that indicates we can fix this please let me know!

I have the pioneer AVH-X4700BS if it's any way you could make it work on that unit as well I'll be glad to try and help figure out some things as far as bugs or kinks that need to be ironed out. I've looked for the firmware update online but it's no where to be found and pioneer has no logical explanation as to why they didn't update at 2014/2015 models(I've called and asked) so I'll definitely contribute any way that I can.
Yeah get it to work on AVIC models while you're at too please ?
Hi, I have a 4000NEX and would love to try this out. Where can your firmware be downloaded?

Any chance you or someone else can reupload the firmware for the 4000/4100 update?
I ended up trying this myself by downloading both sets of firmware and renaming the files via a bash shell script. The update went fine on my head unit, but like everyone else, I had no Bluetooth audio. This is so frustrating. Out of desperation, I even tried the "150" files renamed to "140" while leaving Bluetooth firmware files out of the update completely. Still the same result.
I just got this 360 camera but the Bluetooth some how is not working, I check the web to find solution but it turns out that majority of users got the same issue after updating the firmware, is there any solution for this one? any custom firmware I need to install? please I need help.
please I need help, anyone?
