1. Any way to shorten the camera panorama sweep? It's wayyyyyyy too long
2. Anyone have a way to move the Aux port exposed collar up? Wife managed to get hers flush with body so headphones must be pulled slightly out of port to be recognized.

Mine is flush with the body and works normally. She may have damaged the internals of the jack.

Hello,
Can dust pass from the OB ports (e.g. the audio jack, microusb port) into under the screen or inside the phone?

NO. Seriously.... The audio jack I closed tight... the micro USB too. I even used a flashlight to help you find out...

The dust will not get on screen. There is thin fine gasket between screen and glass
But some little dust may get inside phone not sure
But never keep phone open when not in use
Don't touch with greasy dusty hands
Use good pouch to keep the phone
Take care to keep the phone on some Matt on your Office table.
Take care

So I've had my XZ for a week now, I'm on my 2nd one which I had exchanged. I've noticed on this one the flap that covers the charging port doesn't press down completely! If I press down on it there seems to be a slight movement, like 0.5mm of give, not much but I'm worried if I decide to put it into water would it survive?
Does anyone else have this problem, or am I being really nit picky! My first one shut completely flush.

I've noticed that as well, as long as you press in the end of the flap nearest the top of the phone first, I find it holds the cover in more securely.

Thanks for checking, I've tried that but it desn't help on mine
i have no problem with it!
it keeps in its port properly B
Mine sit tightly. Maybe ask Sony about it as they might be faulty. If they move - it means they don't sit there properly and might leak ( i think )

Mine does sit tight, it's just its slightly raised and does move if I push it in more, but like 0.5mm.

How tough are these flaps? and what if one was to come off?
I ask because the other morning, got up late out of bed, picked up my XZ and pulled charger cable out also pulling on the flap, with it being dark and couldn't see properly, I thought i'd pull the flap off as that's what it felt like. Thankfully I never, but scared me a little

I haven't a clue, if one came off I wonder if Sony would fix it under warranty...

Hi all. I damaged the bottom speaker grill on my M7. Is it worth it and easy to replace?
How is it connected?
Also is this a genuine OEM part? http://www.etradesupply.com/oem-htc-one-top-cover-and-bottom-cover.html
They should be genuine yes. Heat the grill up, being careful not to overheat the phone and melt anything, then prise off the grill (its glued on), replace with the new one and press it down hard. Ideally you need to clamp it down until the glue sets otherwise you will have a large gap, use a strong bulldog clip or a clamp of some sort.

Did you end up trying the repair? Im really curious on how it goes. My One has a blown speaker the top, and i really want to find out how easy it would be to replace

I scratched mine on the bottom speaker grill two days after i bought it also trying to find a way to replace the grill.
Just a heads up. The top speaker grill with the sensors in it is screwed from behind on one corner. Only the bottom one is able to be removed with heat. In addition, the speakers are mounted in the frame from behind, So you will need to remove the chassis (which you will not do without damaging the housing.
So anyone attempted this yet?

i have both covers here now, luckily the bottom one looks glued, as there is nothing to screw it, but the top one is definitely screwed it has a piece with thread on it to attach a screw.. luckily for me my bottom one is damaged more than the top..
so has anyone removed a bottom cover?
Hi i was able to remove my HTC One M7s Back with 3 Guitar picks by first sliding out the volume button, Then sliding it along the frame and clamping it so it didnt close where needed my HTC One M7 Came silver now its almost fully blacked out will post pictures after full restoration of body and screen.
I got some scratches on the bottom speaker grill and was thinking of replacing it, is it possible ? Easy ?

From what i have read on xda the bottom speaker grill is just glued in place, so a hot air gun should loosen it, also from what i have read their are a few company's that sell htc parts and you can buy a spare grill.
I read this in a thread, some member wanted to paint his silver grills black, see if you can find it.
John.
EDIT : this is the thread i think.

The flaps work fine for me about 1 month usage.
But I do see a lot of people complaining about flaps loose in the forum.

Some people speak about the same symptom to the flaps wearing out: they start to open by themselves. Mine did that exactly 3 minutes after I did a water test on it. It started to come out by itself but it did that only once. I now have the charging dock so I don't open mine anymore. The key question is: can these flaps be replaced? The Xperia Z users can buy spare flaps on a website but to this date nobody has actually replaced his/her flap so we don't know how exactly it can be done.
me too
my flaps are loose too with barely 1 month. Ive been looking for answers to this for about more than a week and found nothing so far other that ''send it to a sony service center'' -_- this is ridiculous! cant even put it underwater anymore! this is the last time sony receives a single dolar from me
Open the flap and clean the rim of the opening where the usb connection is and the rubber plug on flap. They will get oil and grime in there making it impossible to stay closed. It works for me. Just keep it clean and you will be fine.
ok

I usually wash my hands and use the damp towel to clean it. Also push the little clips outward gently.

Same here. But I'm gentle with my flaps. I ordered a third party dock that supposedly charges without taking my cover off so I won't stress out the flaps
