Hello guys. A very short and simple question:
I am now on android 4.3, Galaxy S3 I9305 German DBT firmware with KNOX bootloader. I have a problem with 4.3 - my phone restarts or freezes after or minute or so being turned on and I can not do anything about it. I have tried different FWs with Odin, different Custom ROMs, a lot of wiping with no success, but this problem newer happened when it was on 4.1.1 and I want to go back to 4.1.1. I have found a three part fw http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2023527. It's not my first try to downgrade and flash a ROM so I know how stuff works but it is my first time with KNOX bootloader, so that is why I am asking. Will I be able to get it working or it will brick my phone?
Thank you!

Hi guys,
A while ago I've used Odin to upgrade to 4.1.2 with the leaked firmware. But then I wanted to try out MIUI, so before I could simply root my N7000 I had to get back to Android 2.x.
I've tried about 5-10 different stock firmwares from the official firmware thread but sometimes it just goes into a loop and other times I cant get passed the 'click on the android' setup, I get errors like process stopped, or cant load etc. I have a Dutch N7000, tried European, Netherlands and German stocks. Upgrading to 4.1+ ROMS however is simple and always works.
I've been dying to go back to 2.x or at least root my N7000 to get MIUI working. When I go to the bootloader I get that I have CSC KOR.
Are you on a GB rom now? if yes then boot into recovery and do a factory reset
Hi all,
Forgive me if this has been posted before but i've been searching for a couple of days and tried things out but no success.
Background...
I have an S3 I9305 on stock 4.3 and have been trying to get the Wifi working on it using the simple methods but no luck so...
I tried to flash stock 4.1.2 but that did not work as Odin fails on the start saying "Failed" when flashing sbin. I then tried flashing 4.4.4 and that worked but that did not fix Wifi.
I now want to return it to stock 4.3 and have the flash and Knox counters reset because I want to return it as it's still under warranty. Is this possible?
I rooted the phone using Philz and can flash stock 4.3 using Mobile Odin but the flash and Knox counters do not get reset and when I tried to flash stock 4.3 using Odin it fails with the same error even though it is technically on 4.3.
Odin Version used: 3.07 and 3.09
Phils kernel used: philz_touch_6.26.6-i9305
Roms Used:
* I9305XXUEML8_I9305OLBEML6_XSP - 4.3
* I9305XXUFNI3_I9305DBTFNI3_DBT - 4.4.4
Please can anyone answer am I screwed or is there a way to go back?
Also, if I cannot return it to Stock what are my options in terms of using a custom ROM with 100% working Wifi?
To the extent of my knowledge, it is still not possible to reset the Knox counter, if it has been triggered.
If i cannot go back to stock what are my options in terms of a stable custom Rom with a working wifi?
I am not looking for features, i just want it all working again :'(
Thank you.
Someone please help.
If your Wifi does not work with the factory image, then a custom is not very likely to fix it. (I have never had Wifi issues with any of the ROMS I have tried)
Even if your Knox counter is triggered, it may be worth trying to take it back for RMA.
depending on where you bought it, they may not know anything about Knox or care.

Is clear that the problem is hardware environment. Take it to get it fixed.
On the other hand the only way to make a downgrade is flashing the firmware recovery. http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=738977
Thank you for all the feedback I will try and RMA it. I will need luck as I bought it from Kogan
Hi guys,
I've rooted my S4 active couple of month ago. Now i recognised, that the new Lolipop was available and I wanted to flash it with ODIN.
Guess what happened to a dumb'ss like me??? Exactly, it didn't worked.
Description:
- Could start the phone, but always got notifications that the NFC-Service was disabled (again and again). Also some other notifications where on the screen, working with the phone was impossible.
- So i flashed the stock recovery: I9505XXUAMDE
- Then I flashend the stock kernel: I9505XXUBMEA
Now i wanted to go back to 4.4.2 - but when I wanted to flash I9505XXUFNB8 - ODIN said I had no permission and on the Download-Modus-Screen of my S4 there was error: START [224, 1440]
Do you have any recommondadions for me? Although I was flashing my samsungs very often in the past, now I'm bit of confused why it didn't work anymore.
Please help, because I don't want to buy another phone :-/
S4 Active model number is either GT-I9295 or i537.
None of them is known to accept firmware, recovery or kernel made for I9505.
I537 has locked bootloader =difficult to customize. I9295 has stock lolipop and root advice in dedicated thread General section.
Slow down and start to identify your phone model and select corresponding stock TW ROM.
Problem solved
Hi guys,
thanks for the advice. That was a huge mistake of mine. Sorry for the confusion. For better solving the problem and if somebody comes across this thread, I want to post the solution:
- I flashed a stock recovery.
- Then I flashed a Stock Firmware found on sammobile.
There you go. Thanks guys
Forgive me I am a noob. I recently rooted my AT&T S5 cause was waiting for the 5.0 update to come out. I decided to go back to stock and upgrade and removed the root all except the bootloader still appears with custom when starting phone and is only trace of root is all can seem to find but is keeping me from installing new 5.0 as it gets to 28% and restarts says unable to install instillation interrupted. How can I replace bootloader with stock one and where may I find one? Any and all help appreciated. I am running 4.4.4 android and is a SM-G900 AT&T S5 with kernel G900AUCU2AOA1.

Install Samsung Kies on your PC/MAC, and try flashing a new firmware with Kies. Follow the on screen instructions
I have tried that and tell me that my software is up to date have also tried a few different stock roms which were supposed to work with my phone with Odin and they all fail.
Flash the file in this thread.

Thank you very much for the help and sorry has taken so long to get back and let you know it worked great. Thank you so much
Hi Everyone,
I am kind of lost in the upgrade process.
6 months ago, my Samsung Note 3 (USA AT&T) phone was working perfectly fine, but just with OLD firmware. ,then due to urge on upgrading, i searched so many sites and found a link somewhere on droidviews.com (as my firmware was NJ1 or something, website said i need to upgrade to NC2, and then to OC1), this process messed up my phone call receiving & making capabilities.
Most of the time callers see me unreachable and I am unable to call them as i get "emergency calls only"....I still don't have a way out from this issue. Some places I read i need to install right CSC / modem etc, I even tried this thread by reflashing using ODIN & N900AUCUEOC1_N900AATTEOC1_N900AUCUEOC1_HOME.tar. Even after this, i still have calls related issues same as above.
Can someone guide me to right direct (or) did i totally messed up with this? BTW, i am now in INDIA, using Airtel services...
I believe nj1 firmware is newer than nc2.
The Odin files came from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-att/general/100-stock-lollipop-5-0-n900aucueoc1-t3069609 ?

Thanks. I tried flashing to OC1, still same problem. my calls are mostly not working. Is there a way i can go back to original 4.3 stock rom that came with Note3 AT&T? or is there a way i can get current AT&T rom (latest) to try with?
Good part is, i can go between 4.4.3 and 5.0 as i have original stock roms downloaded. But bad part is, my calls still failing...
appreciate any clue/help.
Where did you get the stock ROM? AT&T never released full firmware for the 900a.
There is no way to go back fully to 4.3 since the phone bootloader can be downgraded to 4.3.

Hi, i downloaded NC2 & OC1 stock firmwares from XDA only. they are loading up fine (using ODIN). But my calling problem remains same.
So, Yesterday, i tried rooting the phone and installed AllianceROM. then i went into series of issues like "unfortunately NFC has stopped", "unfortunately settings has stopped" etc... then followed the instruction to wipe/factory reset, 3 to 4 times and disabled NFC services etc. As of now, phone works fine, but still need to check the calling function for a week...
thanks for your time.

Are we SOL with 900a? I was in the wrong forum earlier and was ready to use update to 7...until I realized it wasn't for me.
Dying on Lollipop (where I landed after the 7 fallout)
I re-read my post and noticed that I made an error: the bootloader on an n900a CANNOT be downgraded.
You cannot flash any ROM to the phone using TWRP, you must use flashfire. Only ROMs based on the stock Samsung ROM can be flashed to the n900a.
