What's the problem? Im on stock ROM 4.4 CWM Rooted and Bootloader Unlocked
If your on stock rom you aren't on a Deodexed ROM which is what you need to be to use rom toolbox's modify framework and what not. To do that on a stock rom try using xposed framework and the module gravity box although this can only change status bar and notification bar colors really... Until we get a cm style rom working we won't be able to use rom toolbox's to modify framework

Right now I'm using a battery indicator app that displays on the left of the status bar but I'd love to be able to replace the stock battery icon so I don't need two...something like this.
Has anyone tried this on the Droid 4 yet?
Tried a few different methods icluding building one in the kitchen but no good yet. It will be done as soon as I can get a deodexed pull of our stock rom.
Is there a deodexed version of the stock rom yet?

If your Droid 4 is rooted you can install Rom toolbox and get a different Battery icon

I would be very careful changing any of the system icons until we get a deodexed stock rom. If you do I would suggest using hashcodes stock rom on the safe side of safestrap as a precaution. Its always better to be cautious when we have no fastboot files.

I do not know what you mean : rom Paranoid Android!!
is this a cooked rom or what?
all Tried apps are working but I mean missing AM/PM or Signal Bar or not stable.. etc etc
You can do them manually by editing the system UI and changing some settings.. but you need to be rooted for that.. or yes PA is a custom rom which has feature of changing status bar color and icons

this is sound interesting, iam rooted, so how to do it?
Do you have cwm recovery ? Backup, wipe, flash rom+gapps zips. Reboot.
If u dont have cwm recovery flash a recovery image using odin or heimdall.
Dont know how to do that? Search/google.

there is a how to
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2078585
not only the status bar but a lot of things
I have found the amazing things that x blast can do.
I was wondering if there is a global theme change somehow that would change my phone, contacts and Google now. Thinking about the way most roms bake in the theme changer.
I tried the ones in the xposed framework but it caused bootloop
... So I tried to restore just the BOOT part of my backup /restore but it took a complete restore.
Morph theme pro would look like a possibility but it says my system is not rw mounted. I think it is from framework. But that hasn't worked yet. At least for me.
Ideas?
Thanks.

Ok. Deoxed vs oxed. I am not able because of this.

Ok... Well I was wrong. Turns out that the xposed framework mod called XTHEMEENGINE did the trick. I can't explain why my 1st reboot didn't revile it's work and Google play theme but after 2 reboots I was pleasantly surprised. What a great mod!

Now that we have root, I want to finally utilize the phone!
What's safe to do in XPosed framework and what's not? What are common things people use it for? I'm familiar with flashing ROMs but haven't really used xPosed aside from installing one module for allowing better battery stats to work with Kit Kat.
I use the exchange security hack and the greenify module.

for me its safe to use
BUT if you downloaded a module NOT for you device or rom so you may get force close with the app that the module is modded (eg. module modded the settings app, so the settings app may not work) (you'll need to disable the module)
and its don't effect to the battery life :good:
thats all i got!

For me, Root Cloaker, Greenify and Gravity Box all work just fine.

Are you able to enable Soft Keys with GB? I'm super nervous about doing a few things since we do not have recovery (900A).
My warranty flag is still 0x0, but BootManager caused my kernel boot animation to change to the "Custom" unlocked padlock symbol.

Might have to do with system apps being restricted from startup. And I've heard that changing from art to dalvik can trigger the custom status but just a thought

I have not. Someone else posted it doesn't work, so I guess that's the answer. I use GB to tweak the status bar mainly b/c I like the date to show and I hate the stock TW white color. Other than that I don't mess with too many of the settings it can manipulate.
I've had better luck with Wanam Xposed than with Gravity Box on the gs5.

Will have to check out Wanam Exposed. I was really hoping to have lockscreen widgets again.

It goes back and forth for me. Different Xposed modules will add that message to your boot sequence, but a few reboots and it should go away.
I have tried using google to find a mod that would change the stock system menu from white to other colors. But I haven't found any. I am am wondering if there is a mod or method to do so? I want to go back to stock on 757 without using custom stock roms. What are ways to change other stock apps to other colors too?
Decompile specific app's apk and edit res files yourself, plently of tutorials lying around. Commonly shared ones might be in framework-res.apk or SystemUI.apk
