hard brick on flashing kernel nAa-13 - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

HI,
I'm working on a friend's soft bricked W8. (I'd gotten it soft bricked bout 2 weeks back but that's a different story) I've been flashing a stock rom through flash tools, rooting and flashing cm 7.2 just to restart it and find it soft-bricked all over again.
This latest time, i flashed the stock rom n rooted it. i wanted to flash this ice cream bread rom i found in the forums which said i needed an 'nAa-13' kernel for it to work. but on flashing it through flashtools and restarting the phone, it showed an nAa logo and then shut down. i think the phone is hard bricked cos it doesnt even light up any led on connecting it to the PC.
any solutions??

[Q] Reflashing soft bricked CM9

My son locked me out of my i9000 by means of "too many retries" on pattern.
Tried some "bypass methods", something went horribly wrong and upon reboot it lead the phone to bootloop. Even in charging mode. Cant access cwm recovery or download modes by means of three buttons.
Today received jig that did put my phone into download mode.
Problem is i dont know which odin version to use, which options to check, pit files etc.
Rom that went kaput was an official CM9 nightly, cant remember the version, only know it was most likely 4.0.3.
At the moment i'm interested in stable CM9 (cm-9.1.0-galaxysmtd.zip)
Can someone help me recover from this ?
Here's a start: how to flash 2.3.6 with Odin
After this, put what rom you want... I recommend Helly_Bean [4.1.2]
Good luck!:good:

[Q] Xperia X8 kernel flash problems

Hello guys,
I got a problem you all might only be able to help me. I successfully rooted, unlocked bootloader, flashed E15_nAa-ics-03_2.6.29.6-nAa-ics-03.ftf and installed MINIcm9 3.0.2 shakira on my Xperia X8. The rom itself acted a bit slow and the wifi was dropping so i decided to reflash the kernel on E15_nAa-ics-03_2.6.29.6-nAa-ics-04.ftf and put MINIcm9 3.0.5 shakira on the phone. But after i flashed the newer kernel the phone just got blank black screen with no reaction whatsoever. I used SUS to bring the phone back from the dead and started over again used SE tweaker tool to root the phone then unlocked bootloader with S1 tool which reported lowercase r as a sign of unlocked bootloader and flashed the old kernel E15_nAa-ics-03_2.6.29.6-nAa-ics-03.ftf again. And no recovery menu just blank screen again i didnt miss anything im open for any ideas.
1.Should i first try to relock the booloader after i revive the phone?
2.Am i totaly F*** and have to deal with the fact that phone stays on Android 2.1?
btw.. I used Flashtoolx64 ver, 0.9.9.0 it worked perfectly first time. I have all drivers for the process.
Thanks for the help fellas im counting on you all

Try to redownload the kernel and reflash it again. Or you can try to flash other kernel to see what happens. If the other kernel works, maybe the problem is in your ftf file.

Rooted Note 1 in bootloop after update

Hi everyone. I have a rooted Galaxy Note 1. I accidentally tried to update something (the phone said there was an Android update or something) and now my phone in stuck in a bootloop showing the Android logo. When I try to reset it (volume+home+power buttons) it goes to an Odin "Downloading..." screen and gets stuck on that.
I've seen some stuff about unbricking the phone using Odin to return to the original stock rom. But from what I can tell, there are different stock roms available depending on your Country Sales Code (CSC). So apparently I need to look in Kies for my CSC to know which rom to download, but Kies doesn't recognise the phone, I guess because it's bricked. I know the phone is from the UK, but I don't know what network it came from (I bought it second hand). All I know is that it is unlocked now.
I have CWM.zip, CWM-SuperSU-v0.87.zip, and franco.Kernel-r5.zip on the micro SD card from when I was rooting it ages ago. Do these have anything to do with fixing it?
Any ideas on where I go from here? Thanks for your help.
Which volume button did you press ? You need volume up + home + power to get into recovery.
You can flash any rom from any region using odin.
Same problem
Hey,
Thanks for helping me in advance...
I used the Custom ROM (( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1970626 )) Ultimate N7000 for a long time. However this build became more and more unstable the longer I used my phone.
So I decided to go back to STOCK.
So I followed this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
And everything went well (Odin didnt give any errors)
However after reboot... the problem began... I cant turn my phone on anymore.... It seems to be stuck in a bootloop....
How can I fix this?? please help me
Which rom did you flash? If you flashed JB, boot into recovery and wipe data. Then reboot.

[Q] Question:My x8 Is Dead !!! please help !!!!

I have Xperia X8 with unlocked boot-loader using nAa kernel 14 gb and running android 2.3.7 jelly bread
I was trying to flash nAa jb 03 kernel via flashtool but for some reason the flash was aborted although I did the usual drill ... i tried flashing it back but no result it didnt work.
after that I tried to power up the phone and the led goes green and the phone vibrate and then nothing .... no light on the screen no boot animation just like that..... flashmode is still working i guess....
so I was searched here in xda for a solution and I found out that flashing back to stock kernel should help it via SEUS
so I just wanna make sure Im doing the right thing .... please give me any suggestion ..... its still early to say food bye to my lovely phone

There is no hardbrick for xperia z , at least not in your situation.
Please try with an older firmware and keep in mind that for the phone to start the flash process you have less than a minute for the phone to be recognized by the pc before it restarts.
Good luck
