[Q] Where to sell the Galaxy Camera? - Galaxy Camera Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Bought it a couple days ago, either threw away or lost my receipt. Anyways, bought from Best Buy 8 days ago so now I'm screwed. I can't list it on Swappa because it's the WiFi only version (unless I am missing something?) and doesn't have an IMEI associated. Aside from CL, where are you guys selling them?

[Q] Refurbished tab?

I missed the deal on woot... again...
Does anyone know of any good places to buy a tab for <$300? Someone on this forum tipped me off to a $250 refurb from at&t but I was too late, so I was hoping someone else might know something amazing
Don't know where you live but Craigslist has quite a few in your price range (in my area). Check your local Craigslist.
woow, unbelieveable price
Using my refurbished tab I got from ebay. On sale for $284, got it for $278 (ebay bucks). Works and looks brand new. Bouught a viewsonic, brand new, on ebay for $249, but it sucked. It lagged, no flash, and couldnt root it. My ref tab is rooted, super fast and supports flash!

TMO had them for $99 on-contract. Keep an eye out for them.

Verizon has them brand new for $199 ... but a two year contract.
shop .verizonwireless .com and look at the new 10 inch at the very bottom of learn more they have the 7" tab for $199 with the 2 yr contract.
If you want a Verizon tab I would watch ... they just ran a 3 day sale on the 7" tabs for $69 with the same two year contract .... they may run it again.
Tony
They (Verizon) had a $70 GT 7" for $70 (7/15 weekend).. Picked up one. couldn't resit it. I have the Samsung Galaxy S (Mesmerize) phone from USCC. This tab looks like a 7" version of it. I even got it to make calls out free. No incoming calls, but I might have to do more searching to see if I can get it to do that also for free.
Just won an ebay auction yesterday for a refurb Sprint tab. $202 (192 + 10 shipping)

[Q]Wanting to Buy a Note. I need a lot of help.

I've finally gave up on HTC, and saw the 5.3" light that is the Note. I love all the work that is going into this device. Now I want to buy one, but I don't know where? I see many buy from Amazon, but I don't wanna get scammed. I've been fugded over more than once by bad "deals". I don't want the AT&T version because this version is much better. So can you help me find a safe place to buy a note.
Now here's another question. Most (if not all) of the N7000Ns are unlocked. But are those factory unlocked? If I flash a new ROM, or kernel will I loose my unlock? I'm wanting to use this with Straight Talk (Awesome Unlimited Carrier). The bands are AT&T, but I'll have T-Mobile for a good 3 months. So I don't wanna have my cake, and not be able to eat it :0 I see most people here are kind, so hopefully I get some much needed help
I Wish it was a Galaxy Note >:T
Cant really help you with where to get the Note - try some local stores maybe ?
As for the unlocks - if you get the unlocked version, you can flash a new rom or kernel and your phone will remain unlocked.
I bought mine from expansys.US and I bought 1 year insurance for $60.00 from ensquared.com
I bought mine from Handtec in UK (I am in Australia) Thoroughly recommend them and touch wood have had no issues with my wonderful Note.
There are a number of reputable ebay stores - you could also try there.
As far as I know all Notes are factory unlocked unless the carrier has nobbled them!
Got mine on eBay with no issues.

I would say purchase from a seller that offers store warranty or the cheapest source and get third party warranty.
However, I bought mine without warranty from Newegg.com. But again, I am not planning to flash it with custom rom so unlikely it will break within a year. At least two of Galaxy Note I bought from them don't have any white banding or black clipping problem. Probably going switch to iphone 5 in October
Amazon is very reliable. Never had issues with it.
However most of the places that you buy from US wont give u manufacturer warranty for international note.
If u want warranty confirm with the warranty company before purchasing.
I got mine from handtech more than 6 months ago. At that time none offered warrranty to the phone and hence i could not get one.
So far no issues.
you will be able to use with strait talk.
With N7000 u wont get 3g with tmobile.
With att note u can get it but looks very murky now and u will have issues.
You should be fine buying from either eBay or Amazon, as long as you choose a Top-Rated seller (eBay), or a seller with a large # of transactions with 95%+ positive feedback (Amazon).
For the record, I bought mine from a Top-Rated seller on eBay and have had no problems whatsoever.
According to a rep on expansys-usa.com, they'll handle warranty claims for you if you need it. I'm planning to buy from them as soon as my tax refund comes in.

[Q] How good are refurbished Nexus 6 phones

I have a one month, 2 day old Nexus 6. I noticed today that the volume down button has become hard to push. Although the phone is only a month old. I would get a refurbished phone from either T-Mobile or Motorola if I request a repair (I checked). Having previously had a Note 3 and after my usb connector went bad I went through 3 replacement phones. So now I am really paranoid about already getting a refurbished phone. So my question, has anyone here had experience with a refurbished Nexus 6? I am told that it is certified like new. Is that your experience or should I worry? Thanks in advance.
I've received several refurbished phones over the years, and the only ones I ever had issues with were the old windows mobile phones. All others you wouldn't be able to tell the device wasn't brand new.
A couple of months ago, I bought a refurb Nexus 4 from Expansys. It even had the factory screen protector on it, that indicates the what the buttons do.
You are letting your thoughts mess with you.
My Nexus 6 had issues with camera. It couldn't be stable when i was taking portrait (vertical) pictures. I called T-Mobile and they told that they can replace it but with refurbished. I wasn't really happy about it. I would not mind get refurbished if I would own phone for 6 0r 8 months. Anyway T-Mobile rep told if I want to get new one then I should contact to Motorola directly. He provide me the contact number and I called Motorola. I told them what issue I have with phone and I don't want refurbished one. I asked to speak manager. He told me that he will get me one from testing department which are only open to be tested. I said OK, I will take it. I called them on last week on Wed. and 2 days later i got package in my possession. I opened and I got brand new phone, sealed. It got off from production line Feb 20, 2015. As far as now it seems working fine. I hope this article will be helpful for you. Call Motorola instead T-Mobile. They will take care of you and I hope you will get new one. Talk to manager. Let us know how it went. Good Luck.
The refurbished one that I have now, you can't tell at all no issues so far. This refurbished one works better than mine that was sent in for repair and came back worse than when it went in.
I'm either the unluckiest person in the world or the refurbs are total crap. I'm now waiting on my 5th replacement device and the issues I had with my refurbs that are "certified like new, to meet Motorola's high standards of quality" are not small, nit-picky things either.

You pay your money, and you take your chances. That's why I always buy new. I found a new Nexus 6 with no accessories on ebay for $489. You just need to look around a bit more and be patient.
Now Tmobil are selling them with warranty and on credit only paying $16 a month for 2 years. They could be brand new of the many people return becuse of the size or something minor.

How you knew it was brand new when it had no accessories, meaning it was out of the box. ?

For whatever reason, some people sell new phones without box or accessories.

past and current Note 7 users, Samsung is offering $450 "appreciation"

I'd also love to see a discussion started on the best deals, and ways to stack offers.
anyway, here's the deal Samsung is offering, if you owned a Note 7, and signed into a Samsung account on it, using your old email address you'll get a special "fan appreciation" offer.
(They will want you to trade in a phone still)
https://promos.samsungpromotions.com/note7loyalty/Mobile
another thing for Note 7 users, if you still have your Note 7, (as I do) you can still return your Note 7 for full price, plus a discount insensitive towards your next Samsung phone.
https://pages.samsung.com/us/note7/recall/index.jsp
(if anyone knows how this works with phones bought from 3rd party vendors like Clove or eBay, please share your experience)

Duplicate thread.
Already a thread about this made days ago in the News and discussion forum....
what's the link to that other thread?
I clicked on that loyalty link, they didn't required my proof of purchase on note7. maybe they already have my info when I returned note7 on the recall. I bought my note7 on swappa. com kinda like eBay.
I just ordered att note8 for 573$ total with taxes and shipping included. I trade in my old freedompop iphone5 for 200 off. former note7 user get another 225 off.
If you used the same email on that link that you used when you bought and or returned your Note 7, they will already have your info. That being said, they are giving $425 and I did not see a place to return the Note 7 for the $425 although in another thread someone said if you call Samsung you can get them to allow you to return the Note 7 if you still have it.
Australia are thinking about honoring the discount. I called them the other day to ask and they rang back to confirm my details and said there would be an announcement soon. Hopefully they will finally give back to the Aussies who were burned (literally) by the Note7 debacle. But im not holding my breath if anything it will be a token effort.
Samsung is a friggin joke - the exchange and recall was a catastrophe in Germany (I had to wait until end of December to get my money back) and they offer 0 benefits for Note 7 owners. Nothing, nada.
I find this behaviour seriously terrible, not only did the consumers in the US get a goodie for their trouble with the Note 7 (we got NONE - yet I had to drive to the post office several times and had to take time off from work to get the damn thing picked up, twice).
I am not sure if I will buy a Note 8 again from this crappy company, not after many of us here got shafted without a any kind of appreciation or sorry from their side.

Same in the UK. Not many made it to Europe so I would have thought it would be a great way for cheap good will. But alas nothing.
Yeh, thats what I would have done, but Samsung values US customers a lot higher than European customers.
Well as I thought Samsung in Australia have only offered a token refund of $250 but only to people who purchased directly through Samsung. Aparently I dont qualify because I bought it from a carrier (Telstra) AND TELSTRA are completely ignoring their customers and are offering NOTHING to replace the handset when previously they were giving an inferior S7 for them. Im not happy at all with Telstra they are being SCUM about it.

Bought Note 5 on eBay - real or fake?

Hello everyone,
After using Windows phone for several years I decided to switch back to Android and picked up a used Note 5 from eBay. But I am not 100% sure if this is a real Note 5 or a clone/fake one and need some advise.
The seller states that this is an unlocked Verizon/GSM model but does not reveal too much information in the listing or via PMs with me. He confirmed that this is a 64gb Verizon model and is in good condition, so I took a plunge and bought it. The phone should arrive some time this week or next week and I will get a better idea about it and will definitely return it if it is not real.
What seems strange to me is that there is no Verizon logo on the back side, only Samsung and Note 5. I thought that all phones that are Verizon-CDMA enabled should carry the Verizon brand on the back side, am I wrong?
Here the pictures of the phone I bought and the link to the auction from eBay. Any possible suggestions if this is a real Note 5? Thanks.

Could be a phone that had the back glass cracked and was replaced. just a thought.
I actually thought the same thing but it is unlikely. Someone from another forum suggested that it was normal and Samsung stopped slapping the carrier logos on newer models. There is a photo of the Verizon Note 5 on Samsung site that looks like the one I got. Will see when it arrives.
i bought a note 5 from Ebay recently, everything worked good except my signal/ GPS is spotty no matter what rom I flash to include stock.
