You can try Motiongraph for Xperia by Sony.
It stitches photos to make GIFs, not videos. And aspect ratio is 1:1.
Can't help for videos sadly.

Gallery and reality !

When I took some photos on my OB, I noticed that the quality of the pictures in my OB were far more worst than when watched on my laptop.
Tell me your experience, has that happened to you ?

Can you give us an example of your taken photos?
And what would that help !? When the picture was watched from my stock gallery.....zooming made it very blurry but when i watched the very same picture on my laptop, the quality was flawless.
I hope u get it now

The stock gallery is shi*. Try out another gallery app like QuickPic, you'll see the difference man.

Because I don't have that problem. My OB stock gallery was fine...
yup that is a common problem with most android phones, not just ours.
HTC modded their gallery app to overcome this problem.
That's not a problem first of all because this way the images load a lot faster and don't lag because of the 3d effect. The gallery doesn't make them blury just resizes them, who would need it at 5 mpx?also you could always try another gallery app.

very wrong point of view. looking to blurry pictures is sucks. i hardly see small details like faces. we spent hundreds of dollars to this machines. i want best music quality, best picture quality, best gps quality, best call quality, etc. if possible.
btw, quickpic is great. thanks for advice.

Don't believe your camera result by viewing via your phone screen. 5MP jpeg sized into your 800x480 4" screen, of course it will look nice.
professional studio photographer usually using macbook (which is using IPS panel), to direct preview photos instead of their SLR's built in LCD.

He also said viewing at pc better than viewing OB.
I think you will find NO mac book even the pro series has IPS display.
No profesional will use them in studio if choice is given, they are mainly on location solution.
Saying that the p970 screen gives good colour acuracy compared to my CALIBRATED IPS screen. This was the main reason for me buying it as I can't stand the i-junk.
And coming to the point.
Yes the gallery doesn't show properly the pics, but shows them reasonably and provided you do not zoom does the job. My main gripe with yhe galery though is the structure and controls. Too slow and controls are just dumb.
If 100% zoom is required there are plenty of programs in the market that will do it nicely.
QuickPic is indeed fast ,options are easy to sortout. I like functionality instead off visual candy

Is there such an app?

Hi my friends, I'll be thankful if u can help to find a such app.
I'm interested in filming slow motion videos, so I wonder if their an app helps me to film 100fps even if the resolution is rubbish , I guess there was a Lg phone can shot 120fps in low resolution and it was named LG Renoir, thx.

My old GC900 (Viewty II) take better pictures, specially in dark environments...and to be honest, I think that the 5mp of Viewty I was better than both of them...

they look good, especially when there is good lighting.
Hmm your first 2 photos were taken with a Canon PowerShot G9?
Photos captured with our phone are often trouble in focus, best way I found is to use third party apps like lgCamera Pro and Camera ICS (or Camera JB). They make much higher quality pictures, which are sharper and less noises

I don't believe in P-880 camera...
1st picture is from the P-880
2nd from GC900 (viewtyII)
Details P880/GC900
Size on disk 1.196.032/ 1.064.960
3264x2448/ 3264x2448
Res. 72ppp/ 72ppp
24bit/ 24bit
Compressed Bits 4/---
F-stop 2.4/ 2.8
exp. time 1/33sec./ 1/33sec.
ISO 250/ 100
Both cameras are 8MP, same conditions, all auto.
Why the hell P880 assume a higer ISO, the size on disk is bigger and the picture is better in a phone 2 years older than P880???

HDR camera is possible?

Hi, guys.
Is there any flashable zip to add hdr feature to our camera app? (Minicm7.2 )
I'm using an app to capture hdr, it raises the jpg image size to 1.5 mb!
Taken pictures are more clear (noise reduced) and more detailed. So I would be happy if we would have this in our camera app instead of market apps...
Thanks and regard

60 fps 720p

Can xperia sp record 60 fps 720p video?
Sent from my C5303 using XDA Free mobile app
Mine yeaa
I'm sorry for bumping this thread, but I'm curious if there is a way to record videos in 60fps.
I tried using a 3rd party app (Open Camera), tried editing media_profiles.xml, so far nothing has worked.
I noticed when I'm tapping on the picture in Open Camera to focus, the picture is very smooth (60fps?) for a second until it finishes focusing, so it seems like the hardware is capable of recording in 60 fps.
If anyone knows if it's possible please reply
