hello , i installed this rom yesterday an i love it . . how ever everything that needs to show me the type of phone i have shows the phone as "htc butterfly s"
is there a fix for this . . its annoying me . . thanks in advance
Just Rename to Htc One or anything you like from Settings>About>Phone identity>Phone Name
You have to edit the build prop which is pretty simple. Just download a buildprop editor from the market and change the line that says butterfly s to HTC One and reboot.

I remember faux kernel giving me trouble on my HTC one too.. on your computer using open the zip then meta inf /com/ Google / then using note pad ++ open updated script and delete the 2nd line then save the zip

Long story short i need it for htc transfer tool. I flashed a backup where i removed it and i got a new Red ONE.

Did you have a hacked hotspot? Why not just use wi-fi tether? I also just got a red one, what's nice is you can sitll s-off which I thought for sure they would have patched the hboot by now.

The apk is needed to use the htc transfer tool thats why. Without the apk it just hangs when it tries to connect.

Can you help me by giving the apk for the stock HCT ONE hotspot/wifi/MObile Networks app.
As i had received the HTC ONE (sprint) unlocked, and in that the Option for Mobile Network Sharing is not visible.

oh ok, I really don't use any backup or transfer tools. I always go clean install. It's a lot more work, but everything runs so smooth.
Does HTC has their own file manager? I can't seem to find any or I'm blind.

There is no HTC File Manager on 4.2.2, it appears only on Maximus10 rom with android 4.3

i have searched but cud not find any international rom which i can flash
also i am not a pro at flashing so i have to read and reread before i start

Hi,
I have an HTC One J HTL22 and I am not an expert or tech guy but my phone say it is testing handset and it does not supports hindi. It also does not have an option to update the software, neither can I add APNs to it. I add APNs through an external application. Now, is it possible for anyone here to help me load hindi language in it?
I will be grateful.

when does it says that your device is a testing handset?
have you tried Settings > About > System Update?

It says when i switch on the handset and at the option where the error files are to sent automatically to HTC. I tried Settings>About>Software Information... but there is no option of software update.

I am sorry but Iam unable to see that since i cannot switch to bootloader mode as shown in htcdev.com, i tried all the methods but the phone won't budge, neither i am able to see any hindi messages on it. Also my friends I am not in the fields of development of apps and softwares so you can treat me as an alien in this field. It is an earnest request to please guide me through it.

sadly there is no solution to your problem yet
the OP successfully flashed Global edition ROM(latest) on his HTC One J but there is no support for Hindi in it as well
Hey guys would this app work to us temp root on all HTC ones or is it only for the verzion version

They said it may work for some other HTC. However, it does not work for HTC One GPe 4.2.2 (just tried it)
