Does anyone know why this is happening? I can't go on the Internet and send pictures. I tried restarting the phone and taking the battery out and all. I tried messing with the mobile network settings still didn't fix it

Mine does the same thing, but I use wifi when at home so I have not noticed. Maybe it is a network issue on their end. When i turn off wifi I get my 4G/LTE symbol on the top bar so it is working. I still get the same issue as you have pictured. I don't believe that is actually used by AT&T now. In either case even though it says failed mine still works so your issue lies elsewhere if it is not working.

Try a network reset from this thread. Can't hurt, may fix it, easy.
How do I do the network reset?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
Have you checked your APN settings? I would also try power cycling and if all else fails try contacting ATT. If you dont have any apns, search around and you should find them.
Tried all that. How do I reset network settings?

So i have had the phone for a couple of days and recently i have been having connection problems. My data will stop working even though i have bars and the 4g lte sign is up. I have to restart my phone to get my data back connected. Not even going to settings and turning the data toggle on and off works. Any ideas

Id call att for now and see what they say...
Toggle Airplane Mode. Works for me. I have the same issue.
airplane doesn't works all times.. i prefer suspend the phone for a few seconds..
Are you using any smart actions that affect your data connection? I had the same problem before I realized that the phone automatically turned off data when connected to WiFi. I had set up a smart action to do it as well, which I think confused the device and wouldn't connect to 4G. I had to factory reset to fix it. Left smart actions out of the loop, and haven't had a problem since.
Deep rooted in the mAtrix HD...

Yea i tried the airplane mode and nothing. I had smart actions on but then i turned them off and still have yhe problems. I think im just going to factory reset and see if it fixes the problem. The problem usually happens when im at school where in my classes i get no reception. And after class i get the bars but still wont get data and then i restart my phone and then i get the flood of notifications.

This is exactly what happens to me..
could also be lte problems... as att deploys new towers and works on em sometimes you'll have problems for no reason... which is why i would try to call att or do a factory reset, is all i can think of
I had to factory reset my atrix. I dont use the smart actions anymore and that solved my problem

Yea, I stopped using also the smart actions as they seems more stupid than smart
I will have to disagree with you, once setup properly the smart actions are great. Never had a single issue with connectivity.

Hey,
Two days ago my phone started to turn off the wifi connection when the screen is locked. Sometimes I even have to restart the phone to get the connection back to work.
It does not happen to the 3g connection.
I have checked all apps if any of them are causing the problems in their settings. And I don't use any battery saver apps.
Anyone had the same problems?

You've checked that the "turn off wi-fi when screen is off"-option in advanced Wi-Fi settings is set to "Never"?

Is anyone getting the wifi problems that the other versions of the Note 3 are getting? Preferably when it says the network was disconnected for being too slow or something like that? I know it happens on the T-Mobile, Verizon, and International versions.

Mine doesn't disconnect but it says wifi signal is unstable, then I looked in settings when this happens and it says wifi signal strength VERY STRONG, I'm sitting 10' from my router and I know damn well the the signal is strong as it says 72mbps. Lots of issues with wifi signals are popping up in the N3 sections, not good.
Yep, same as Quickvic30

Go to wifi advanced settings and uncheck Auto Network Switch. It appears the phone will "test" the speed of the wifi network to your 4g and picks which is faster.

Hey all,
I realized that the wireless issues were all where there are at least access points broadcasting the same network. The signal indicator flickers back and forth between solid and weak, and I think the wireless manager is jumping back and forth instead of sticking with the stronger one. I installed one"WiFi Manager" from Play store and the connection is more solid. I haven't rooted my device yet, so this may be the best answer until a patch shows up.
Let me know if it works,

Hello I was having this problem I had to remove my ad stop program and everything starting working normal again adblockplus to be exact but that fixed issues with mms messages and the wifi.
Yes- nothing but problems with wifi dropping and reporting as slow/unstable. Rooted on AT&T MI1. Various AP's, not specific to any one location. Basically renders wifi useless.

Yall- this issue has been bugging the hell out of me. Finally tried something I found buried in a few other forums that immediately fixed the spotty connect/disconnect and wifi data stalling errors.
Enter into the service configuration mode by dialing *#0011# and hit the menu key- touch "wifi" and turn off "wifi power saving". Reboot. After having tried everything else I was skeptical but I can confirm (in my case) it worked like a charm!
Hope it helps someone else.

Great info! I just did it and rebooted so I will report back with the results. Thanks!!!
Another possible fix for you guys.. go into wifi in settings..hit menu then click advanced. Inside advanced make sure to uncheck auto network switch. Reboot and voila.

I've been using that method for most of the day, and I've noticed some good results with WiFi. Unsure how it's going to affect battery life yet though lol
auto-network switch
I didn't have to reboot, but disabling the auto network switch did help. I kept getting the 'unstable messages', and I finally had to click the "don't show this again" button and hit 'cancel' so that the OS would stop trying to help my be re-enabling the auto network switch. So, the question is, is this just #LTE2fastprobs, or are there real wireless n/ac issues that make this phone less than desirable?

I've got a peculiar problem with Google+ auto upload for my pictures. I have it set to upload only on wifi.
On my home network, auto upload doesn't work, and every few days I get a notification saying that it's stalled blah blah. If I jump on any other wifi network it instantly resumes. Even stuff like the Target guest network does it correctly.
I've tried to remove and add back in the network SSID from the network setting panel, but it doesn't change the behavior.
Any ideas?
Try forgetting the Wi-Fi and redadding it?

Yeah I tried that, unfortunately same behavior. Also tried to clear google+ updates and data and reinstall, but same thing.
It's like somehow the network is tagged to be a mobile network or something.
Try doing a factory reset on your router?

Mm, i'm running OpenWRT on it. So factory reset would mean redo my customizations for my particular network. I'll look through all my firewall settings though, that's a good point maybe it's dropping packets or something specifically related to what auto upload uses.
^^^ sure... Whatever that means. I'm not to knowledgeable on routers... But hey... If you can upload in target but not at home... Then something up with home network. Good luck

Hi,
Has anyone had this problem - or any ideas what it might be?
Basically, every now and then I'll lose the data connection (but keep signal for voice and text). Turning airplane mode on/off doesn't rectify it, neither does turning off/on the data connection. However if I restart the phone, I'll get data signal straight away.
Any ideas?
what about changing network type from 3g to 2g and back ?
I used to have this problem on three UK with nexus 4 and 5. Might be a carrier issue?

I have exactly the same issue. Only cure seems to be a reboot. Haven't seen a pattern as to how or when it happens.

Funny you should say that, I'm with three at the moment...
I have the same problem. Though I'm from Russia and my network provider has nothing to do with Three (if only they exchange their "expertise").
I had this with my Z3C. Also on Three but my Moto G and Nexus 5 are fine. I think Bluetooth might have something to do with it. In the end I sent my Z3C back for a refund as Sony were no help at all.
