anybody?
Did u try a different usb port...one that u did not use Heimdall on ? Because Heimdall installs its own drivers to that specific usb port that u r connected to. Odin will not work with the Heimdall usb driver.

I'm trying to revert back to stock from Cyanogen Mod 7 using Odin3 One-Click. I've jigged into download mode. I've got a yellow com port on Odin but when I click start the messages end with "DO NOT POWER OFF DEVICE" and doesn't change. It appears my device is NOT connected. When I go to the android-sdk-windows\tools menu and type "adb devices" there are no devices listed under "List of devices attached". I know this is the correct directory and I've done this before without the jig. This is the first time with. Any suggestions on what I'm missing?

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried what that suggested but no dice.
I don't think that's the issue. Odin recognizes the phone and I'm getting a yellow com port in Odin to prove it. I'm not getting the device to be recognized by the computer when typing "adb devices" as a command.

Nexus drivers? How would I find out if I have them? I've gone back to stock multiple times in the past. Just not with a jig. Is there something different you're supposed to do to get the phone recognized by the computer with a jig?

When I flashed CM 7 I did so with these instructions. Would anything in these instructions cause problems when reverting back to stock with Odin?

That's how to go FROM stock TO CM7. I'm trying to do the opposite.
This link has info on the Nexus drivers...

but here is a quote from that page.."The use of the adb reboot download command isn't functional."

I'm already in download mode.
It has gotta be a connection issue then. Try a different cable, different usb port, and/or try Heimdall.

I just installed Heimdall's WinUSB driver. Now I can't even get a com port.
Heimdall will override the driver for the port it was installed to (in this case, whatever port your phone was connected to).
If u installed the Heimdall drivers then just use a Heimdall One Click. Be sure to use the usb port that u used when u installed the heimdall drivers (they only install to that specific port that u r connected to at the time on install).

I'm having a problem with connecting with Kies, It doesn't recognize my Captivate (Or may be it do) and It doesn´t pass of Connecting device.
So I´m trying to root my device, but in one of the steps that I read it says that if the device don´t connect or sincronize with phone the drivers are not correctly installed and might have problems with flashing with Odin.
So my question is... If I´m having this problem with conection, What it really means? That my drivers are not installed correctly? Or is another problem and I can continue with the procedure?
I´m sorry! It maybe is a silly question but I´m new on this! I appreciate your help, thank you very much!!!
I wouldn't bother with Kies. If there is a driver problem, Odin won't be able to recognize the phone. If you still can't get it to work, there's always Heimdall.

Ok, but... How can I know if Odin recognize my device without risk? I mean, if I connect the phone and it works with Odin. Do I have to continue with the process?
Or I can disconnect it and try it again later when I want? (I have to be sure what I´m going to do lol)
Once u have Odin opened and ur phone in download mode next and then ur phone connected to the pc last, Odin will let u know that it recognizes ur phone by the com port box turning yellow if u r using Odin3 v 1.83 or similar. If u r using an One Click Odin it will show in the log box "Added". At either one of these points if u do not want to continue just remove ur cable from ur phone, pull the battery, replace the battery and reboot. Close Odin.
But if u tap Start on either one of the Odins, after u have connected to ur pc and been recognized by the Odin, then do not remove the cable. Let the process finish. Also, always be sure to use a reliable micro usb/usb cable and have a sure power source.

Ditch Kies and just use latest drivers. (2013/01)
Uninstall kies and previous drivers, install, reboot, connect.

Kill all process with kies in task manager. Use original cable, try to change usb port.
Put phone in download, open odin, connect phone.
Otherwise I don't know. Try another computer.
First connect your phone to pc.then open odin 3.07

That's true. I had an experience using fake cable with my old android phone, it's sucks..
I'm using the original cable on my Desktop computer work but on my laptop not. I think I will reinstall my windows.
since you succeeded in one computer and failed in the other to be recognized in the download mode then it's definitely from the computer itself...try what the guys said before and give us a feedback
please hit THANKS if I helped

Try to use different usb port on pc. To pull out, push in cable in usb port while phone is in download mode and Odin is started. Try another usb cable.
P.S. what did you do that you got non booting system?

Why didn't you read CM 10.2 thread? It is written that it has black screen on recovery.
Try with Odin again, try to pull and put back usb cable. You have Windows 7? Does it show new hardware at all?
You have used Odin before? If not look for some guide on youtube. Maybe you miss something.
Try with ODIN v1.85 and ODIN v3.xx
Do you have any PC activity when you get to Recovery? I read that it just has black screen, but it is functional. Maybe ADB shell is working, so you can flash CoCore over it.
You can try to install this on PC: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2105707
There you have adb shell, and with some commands you can install kernel. After that you can reboot to Recovery again and you will have working Recovery (but still non booting system). Next step is to download some JB stock based ROM and to push it to sd card (you can use that Total commnader in link I gave you). After that just install ROM and it should work.
I am at work now, so I can't help you in details.

Read rest of my post, I change it.
If you can't handle it - find someone that has more knowlage in Android to help you (that can do it for you).
Uninstall Kies if you have reinstalled it and remove any samsung drivers, do a registry clean on Windows with CCleaner (you can find it with Google), reboot pc then install this usb drivers, reboot again and try if now the phone in download mode is recognized on Odin (firstly powen on in download mode then connect to usb)

If it shows the downlod mode screen then you should probably check your phone drivers , install the correct ones.
