i put a microsim to sim adapter and it broke the sim contacts on the tray!! Thats why I don't have warranty. Do anyone know what can I do???
How much does Samsung charge for this repair? I think it is better to have them repair it.
U should try diferent micro sim before u buy main board, u have two type of micro sim , sim with smaller chip and with bigger, the smaller one are causing problem, some of them are not working and some of them have problem with contact.

and that someone screwed it up worse..... i should be able to fix it i pm'd you
..broke mine too!!
..did a similar thing to my Note.....the sim card caught one of the connectors in the sim tray and pulled it off!!!...found a cool video on how to dismantle it (1st video on on "dismantle galaxy note"search) on you tube....on closer inspection the connector had broken and pulled away from the circuit board too (not happy!!). Have hunted high and low to try and find someone who could supply a replacement main board....without any luck - if there's anyone out there that could point us in the write direction/add a link here....i'd love you forever!!
Really missing my Note right now!!!
New mobo for Galaxy Note? Check these guys out!!!
vicdroid84 you may be in luck......have found these guys, their based in Birmingham and are called Intercity business telecommunications (wont let me add the link here) tel:0121 643 7373.....have spoken to them, they can supply and fit a new mobo for about £130......takes about 48 hours upon them getting it to repair...am sending mine of today!!!!!........yipppeeeee!!
Samsung replaces the SIM tray. I read it is less than 50$ and sometime it is free.
Changing MOBO for a SIM tree is like changing a Car engine for a small nut
i recommend you take it to a company that's not Samsung to fix it, Samsung wont fix it if you don't have a warranty

Just pointing out to the OP that the above might be misinformation. The fix should be free if it's a warranty and $50 if it is a sim issue.
and as i said earlier.. if samsung wont fix it .. i can and will... and i can say so far i havent voided a warranty as in the warranty is still good after ive done the repair.. thats how clean..... so anyone with the problem just pm me... its legit too. got pretty good at board level repairs over the past 22 years working for some big name manufacturers... just trying to help...already helped a few on here....
Sim pins
I too broke off 1 of the 3 pins pulling a microsim out. I ordered and received the sim connector from parts4repair.com. But I think I have to solder off the current connector then solder on the replacement. Am I correct?

Hey XDA Devs,
Well every time my dad gets a new phone I get his old one, he got the Xperia S so I got the Xperia T off him, my phone before this was the Arc S and it had one of the larger SIM card holders unlike the Xperia T which requires the smalled one. My dad cut down the SIM to size at about 3PM yesterday and worked fine all day, but I left it on charge over night woke up and the card apparently isn't in my phone... I've tried restarting and taking the sim out but I've had no luck and I need it for school at 8:25
Any help would be amazing as always and nice to have my first post on XDA

Speak to your carrier and get a free sim card that is the correct size.
PS, why would he go for a S after having the T? Why not the Z?
Probably he wanted his son to have the X T.
On topic, sim might have not seated properly or the sim might got damaged. Try seating it again or the last resort would be what Greg suggested.

Hey ty for both your suggestions, and I've got the T i used to have the arc S greg
I will probably ask my dad to get me a sim which is the right size, thank you
FIXED
Well i solved it, the 2nd suggestion saying make sure it's seated properly worked
Just moved it about a little now it's fine

OK, but i do suggest getting a proper card as well. You might as well, it is free and it will be more secure.
PS, I know you now have the T, but my question was why would your dad downgrade from a T to an S? If he wanted a new phone why didnt he go for the Z?
My dad didn't get the S, I got his old phone the T and he sold the S.. His new phone is that water proof sony one? i think it's the X i dont know;P

i have a doubt ,when i press the sim in the tray it perfectly fits and stays inside but while closing the cover the cover pushes the sim out
the network signal works properly its just that the cover is not completely pressed on the sim side
is this normal or what i need to do
Are you sure that your simcard has the right dimensions?

ya the sim card is a micro sim card
Hmm, if you are absolutely sure your simcard is the right size, it could be that you've a faulty unit. Is it a new phone?

Ask for a replacement if your phone is still new. Send it for repair if it's not new.

but the network signal works perfectly
no issue in network at all
just there's a little bump created by the cover as it does not close completely
check this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufMRYESmuQg
the way the cover stays little up in end of this video ,same is the condition of my cover
Please answer our question. Is it a new phone? If you look inside the flap, you'll see 2 dots that makes sure the flap stays closed. If not fully pressed down, (like in de video) it will of course make the flap stick out. Perhaps that dot is to big. Could you provide me a picture of your flap?

yes the phone is new i bought it 3 days ago
i showed it today to service center they told that its locked and the motherboard is faulty
and as this phone is not available here in India it can't be repaired
i bought it from a dealer who bought it from foreign so there is no bill
i'm hoping if he can replace and give me another one
i'm pretty f**cked up now
another thing now that the phone shuts down automatically and heats like hell
i think if the motherboard has been short circuit
You definitely have a faulty unit indeed. If I was you I would let it away from you, you never know. Something bad could happen

Hi buddy..
Me too from india..got my xperia tx just 2 days back via eBay.
Although its not released in india,my tx has "dealer warranty"
My suggestion would be to talk to the dealer about the issue and request for a replacement/refund.
There's not much that can be done to the TX in india..
Sent from my xperia TX via xda premium
i have told the dealer for replacement
till then i used a trick by putting some cello tape above sim card which makes it thick and the sim doesn't pop out now
still lets hope if i can get a replacement
Hey folks,
I have a small issue with my SGS i9000 GT which I bought in 2011. I have a nano sim which I use in my HTC one M8 and I use a sim adapter to use the same sim in my SGS. Recently I was stupid enough to just put the adapter void of the sim into SGS sim tray and while pulling it out, I damaged the sim tray. I think the 2 little forks out of 3 were uprooted. :crying:
I took it a small repair shop nearby and try to get the sim tray changed. Now it detects the sim but it shows no service. I tried it with couple of other small shops and they say that the IC needs to be changed. Has anyone experienced something like this? I run a Mackay rom, will factory reset or flashing again help if it's a network / software issue. Any light in this regard would be appreciated.
Cheers!

I also "almost" made the same mistake.. Your most likely gonna have to replace whatever board to fix your sun tray. You've most likely pulled the pins free of the board. Maybe a new sim tray and someone who is really good at soldering can fix this. maybe...
doubt very much it is software as it was working before you did this. But it's worth a try re-flashing. In my opinion your going to need to replace the board with the memory chips attached, if I remember right from when I've dismantled my S1.
I would find a dirt cheap phone on eBay with a broken screen and pull the board with tray from that and put it in yours. Doing so with also mean your going to need to backup your data as you'll have new internal memory.
It's not too difficult to do this yourself, lots of good YouTube videos. Also what I've had to do in the past when I fried my internal memory.
Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong. Good luck!

I see this as a DIY opportunity  I will try to reflash the phone and if it doesn't work then I'll DIY the IC myself. I will update the progress here. Thank you for your valuable opinion.
Cheers!
well i did it. just like a few other on here. got the sim card tray and adapter stuck in the slot. like a fool! so im wondering, does anyone know if the z1 card reader is the same as the z1s? i have the z1s and want to fix it. if anyone can chime in id greatly appreciate it!!!
thanks!
anyone?
I doubt that anyone would know that since most of us that own a Z1 don't own a Z1c because there's no point in that.

Reporting in, well the sim card trays do look identical according to photos, but just to be safe, i'd order a c6916 or l39u/l39t sim card tray, the l39u/39t variants are chinese versions that look identical or actually are identical to the z1s (cases are interchangeable etc), while the c6906,c6903 which are regular z1 devices are modeled l39h
