well i did it. just like a few other on here. got the sim card tray and adapter stuck in the slot. like a fool! so im wondering, does anyone know if the z1 card reader is the same as the z1s? i have the z1s and want to fix it. if anyone can chime in id greatly appreciate it!!!
thanks!
anyone?
I doubt that anyone would know that since most of us that own a Z1 don't own a Z1c because there's no point in that.

Check there if it's any different.

Reporting in, well the sim card trays do look identical according to photos, but just to be safe, i'd order a c6916 or l39u/l39t sim card tray, the l39u/39t variants are chinese versions that look identical or actually are identical to the z1s (cases are interchangeable etc), while the c6906,c6903 which are regular z1 devices are modeled l39h

Never heard of it before, where did you found that info?
There are several, but the one I'm most acquainted with it's the Simore one.
Not exactly cheap but certainly does the job, no hassles except cutting the SIM cards.
There's really no risk to it. At worst there may be some bad results in case you don't do the cuts well.
I got a 28th gen magicsim cut off a reputable seller on ebay. Had no problems on this phone or my htc desire. Only £19.99 including shipping too. Give me a shout if you want pointing in the right direction.
Would just like to add concerning Rhousman's reply that while the MagicSIM stuff is all in all a cheaper, more interesting solution, it is not guaranteed to work whereas the Simore dual-SIM adapter and similar will 99% be compatible with whatever SIM cards your throw in there.
The advantage of stuff like MagicSIM is that you can dump the information of several cards (like up to 16) into one common SIM, but you have to be able to read and decrypt the information from your original SIMs. From personal experience with a handful of SIMs, I was only able to decrypt one.
Success rate will depend what kind of SIMs are used in your country.
Completely disagree with cmdr001 i use magicsim on all sorts of phones and SIM's (my brother owns a phone shop and sometimes customers want this function). Probably got about 16 of them by now and never had issues with any sims or with the product itself.
Also your description of what magicsim does is strange. I think you're getting it confused with another product?
The last round I bought from Amazon was awful. Some wouldn't even fit my SIM. I need a couple quality adapters for when I flop back between the GN and the 900. Suggestions?

why do companies use micro-sim cards, like do they want us to damage our sim pin connectors on our phones while switching between micro and regular. Oh, wait I forgot "normal" people don't switch, damit we are screwed. Back on topic, It's hard finding a good, if you find a good one let me know also.

Indeed. I had a fantastic one for years and it broke recently. I've been unable to remember when I got it from and there were no markings on it to identify it by.

Okay, that might be hard since, I switched carrier and they don't have micro-sim cards... If you want to see how I position the micro card I can show that.
i found a really good one for just 3€ in a Chinise store here in italy, it has no brand but it works just fine, i can put my iphone microsim inside my father old BB and in my old Nokia e75 without any problem. I think it's just a bit of luck since it's a cheap piece of plastic.
I think i broke it because when looking closer i can see 3 lever kinda thingies there....arent those 4? i checked an old blackberry i have and there are 3 marks there. Can someone please confirm me how much pins/levers/connectors the XPERIA V lt25i has? jusr remove your SIM, it should be simply to see. Thanks.
Hey folks,
I have a small issue with my SGS i9000 GT which I bought in 2011. I have a nano sim which I use in my HTC one M8 and I use a sim adapter to use the same sim in my SGS. Recently I was stupid enough to just put the adapter void of the sim into SGS sim tray and while pulling it out, I damaged the sim tray. I think the 2 little forks out of 3 were uprooted. :crying:
I took it a small repair shop nearby and try to get the sim tray changed. Now it detects the sim but it shows no service. I tried it with couple of other small shops and they say that the IC needs to be changed. Has anyone experienced something like this? I run a Mackay rom, will factory reset or flashing again help if it's a network / software issue. Any light in this regard would be appreciated.
Cheers!

I also "almost" made the same mistake.. Your most likely gonna have to replace whatever board to fix your sun tray. You've most likely pulled the pins free of the board. Maybe a new sim tray and someone who is really good at soldering can fix this. maybe...
doubt very much it is software as it was working before you did this. But it's worth a try re-flashing. In my opinion your going to need to replace the board with the memory chips attached, if I remember right from when I've dismantled my S1.
I would find a dirt cheap phone on eBay with a broken screen and pull the board with tray from that and put it in yours. Doing so with also mean your going to need to backup your data as you'll have new internal memory.
It's not too difficult to do this yourself, lots of good YouTube videos. Also what I've had to do in the past when I fried my internal memory.
Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong. Good luck!

I see this as a DIY opportunity  I will try to reflash the phone and if it doesn't work then I'll DIY the IC myself. I will update the progress here. Thank you for your valuable opinion.
Cheers!
So, I'll buy new Z3+, how can I be sure it really is new, as it doesn't have the flip tape in sim tray, with production date as previous Z versions?
I'll perform all tests from test mode, but is there any way to see when the phone was really manufactured?
Is there anything else I should pay attention to?
Thanks...
The pull-out tray IS there, inside the sim slot. It is separate from the sim tray.

Thanks, so I've missed that, and the coding of the production date is the same as in previous Z versions?
