Ive seen this many times in rom manager but never flashed it as it wasn't on xda so wasn't sure about it. As far as I can see it's a reliable rom so I wonder why I've never seen it here before????
I installed one rom I found here that was based on it though.
Might give it a shot. OP has given info about it. Anybody else can supply any feedback?

I used the 2.3.3 version and it was very stable and just worked fine as advertised; I'm sure this one is the same. He just focuses on making a very stable, close to stock rom with some improvements here and there. Should be a very smooth rom.
Guys, jcs doesn't post on XDA so if you have questions regarding Blandroid, please use his mini-forum on the Blandroid website:

Thanks

Yep, very stable/smooth ROM. The latest 2.3.4 version was not as smooth for me though, so I went back to the 2.3.3 version.

yes.. FFC works. As you know, blandroid has no Google apps pre-installed. There is a gapps package you use (same as with cyanogen). But that gapps package hasn't got the latest Talk.apk
You need to get the new version of Talk.apk yourself. I created a thread and posted a link here.
Blandroid 2.3.5p0
Very stable release! I get at least 20 hours with heavy use (3g on always)
Blandroid.org manually updated changelog
2011-09-10
2.3.5p0 released
2011-09-09
Imported CMScreenshot app from CyanogenMod and added a screenshot function to the global power menu. Now screenshots can be taken natively from anywhere by holding down the power menu and selecting "Take Screenshot". Screenshots show up as PNG files in the DCIM/Screenshots directory on the SD card.
Added a setting to disable showing failed lock patterns. Most useful when the "Use visible pattern" option is disabled.
Been using this myself for the past day, very fast, stable and smooth rom, I will be using this as my daily driver from now. Haven't cross any bugs yet.
I can't seem to get this to install from recovery. I always get installation aborted.
Any reason why? I seem to be stuck with Oxygen...

Well, we can complain? I already send my crash report, hoping it will be something. I also note Viber forum member on this topic.
Hi everyone,
I'm a Viber rep. here in XDA.
Please note that at this stage we don't officially support custom ROMs with Viber. Running Viber on a custom ROM results in various side effects (sometimes total lack of functionality), but we can't afford to support all custom ROMs out there. We are continuously working to adapt Viber to more and more ROMS, but meanwhile - you might want to contact the ROM developer for further support - they may be able to resolve this issue. In addition, it would be a good idea to test Viber on Stock ROM on that same phone, in order to see if that indeed is the source of the problem.
Thank you...
Previous Viber version work without any problems on my custom ROM...

Sometimes some Custom ROMs collide with *some* feature of Viber, and when this happens unfortunately there is not much we can do to help, since we cannot afford to adapt Viber to all Custom ROMs out there, and all of their versions. Hence, it could be that one version of Viber will work on a specific Custom ROM, but then a newer version of Viber will not work anymore. This requires development, testing, etc, and we simply don't have these resources. We usually recommend those users to contact the ROM developer for further support - they may be able to resolve this issue.
Hello Viber,
unfortunately I'm suffering from the same issue, I am not able to make/receive calls since I updated mine 3days ago.
Is there a way to "downdate" (you get the idea) my Viber so it can work properly again? Im using Viber to get in touch with my relatives overseas.
thanks!
PS: forgive my English, it's not my native language.

Hi @genemini -
Unfortunately we (Viber) cannot make older versions of Viber available officially. You may, however, consult with other Android users here or in other forums - we're sure they will be able to help you with this
Meanwhile, we would still wish to investigate the source of this problem. We would appreciate if you could take a minute and report the details to our support team using this direct link: http://bit.ly/ukGVJ0 (when you submit the ticket, please make sure to add the URL of our conversation). With this information, our development team will hopefully be able to find the source of the problem, and ultimately resolve it.
Thanks in advance

I have crashes with latest version on CM11 by hjunii / hjunii's kernel modded by qzwcc when I try to record an audio message or call.
Which I've seen in forums it's a common issue with Viber and custom roms.
Not with this one
Great that it works
Works on my ZTE V9
Works on my ZTE V9 with CM11 too

September 15 - Latest version works !!!
I was going to update this thread today, since just I just tried the latest version of Viber, with video calls...and IT WORKS on LG P990/660 running tonyp's CM11 !!!
Hopefully they're supporting CyanogenMod after becoming the official OS of OnePlus phones
Anyway...I thought you may want to try as well :good:
Good luck !
good, but so heavy and laggy app for our P990 (
@Mhden2x I agree
Infact it's my first app in hibernate list (second is Skype) on Greenify, since I need to use it, but not to stay always on !
Give it a try...
yeah, I use greenify, but still when viber / facebook wake up... disaster! can't even answer a call. I guess we can't do anything else for our device, it's a miracle we have CM11 already, thanks to the best developers ever here! hehe

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

This is a compile done for a friend, as he found lp/mm roms to be unbearably laggy, especially when using social media/chatting apps. Just thought it could help some folks hoping to run an updated kitkat in their old(but great) galaxy s3. After some usage, his words were: this phone is part of my hand again .
This is a straight compile from cm11 sources for i9300, with the pac-rom source code(the best kitkat custom rom imo). Battery life, performance and stability are truly superb. Sources merged on 12-Oct-16, therefore having the latest stagefright and other security patches built-in. Wifi-fix for i9300 is also integrated. The rom is working fine with the latest boeffla-kernel(2.14) released for cm11, and thats the tested and recommended configuration. Some useless apps removed(like voicedialer, whisperpush, moviestudio, pacconsole and some more i can not remember) and i also removed pac console from the rom configuration settings framework as well. Have fun using it.

All credits go to cyanogenmod and pac-rom team for both their amazing roms and sources for i9300 and many other phones we use and love!
Thanks you,!!

Not having the phone means no screeshots . You can try it and put some up for everyone to see. You wont be disappointed.
What about gapps?? We have to dwnload it?
This is a clean rom, no gapps, xposed, or other mods included. use opengapps.
Really appreciate your efforts here... Great work on this rom... everything working fine... If possible can you put some time looking into Archidroid 4.4.4... IMO it was the best rom our s3 could ever have.... It has some wakeblock issues that might get resolved if we update the sources. Again thanks for your effort. S3 community owes you!

This problem persist with the latest snapshot of cm 11 also... nly install themes that you like... doesnt affect the functionality of the rom having themes installed.
Thanks for this great ROM. The only issue I have is I cant get 3G to work. Any suggestions? Would be much appreciated...
Its probably an APN problem, try inputting your carrier settings manually. 3g works fine on my friends' phone.
The rom is incredible but I need to restart my system with Wifi turned on so it can connect. If it disconnects (for any reason, disabling wifi, getting out of range etc), it only flashes "Connecting..." when connecting to the router again, but it doesn't connect
Try the fix in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/wifi-fix-cm11-i9300-t2910872 . I already included the needed file in the rom, and it works fine here, but it couldnt hurt to try. Could it also be your router causing this?

Will try! And it isn't the router, it worked with cm12.1 (no issues whatsoever) and cm13 (the issue on cm13 was random disconnects but it was rom related too).
Hey!
Switched to this rom recently and being very impressed, it having all the features one could ever want yet stable and battery friendly. Definitely better than MM roms on S3.
However do we need an kitkat bootloader or do we even have one available? Still on the official 4.3 bootloader and just wondering if could get more stability if upgrading it to kitkat.
Kitkat bootloaders dont exist for the i9300, since it never officially got kitkat. Last semi-stock kitkat rom for the i9300 were ported roms from n7100 and the korean variant of gs3, and they did not include a bootloader, because it would hard-brick the phone. Having installed 4.3 before this was the best you could do. Having this rom installed in 2 phones(my friend's and my sister's) i definitely recommend installing boeffla's last cm11 kernel, no stability, battery, or features problems with it. Actually, apart from the rebooting on uninstalling themes bug, no other bug has been reported to me from them, no even ones in the thread.
