I got a Raspbian distro with Libre office running a PPT. Only issue is it will crash after arroudn 3-4 hours. Now I am wondering if any1 has a script or can tell me how to make a proper script to check if the Pi is still running the PPT and if it is not to have it restart it.
So what the script should do:
Check if running, if yes, check in 10 mins, if no start ppt again. Position should be from a USB but thats insignificant.
Hopefully anyone has a solution for me, any help would be greatly apriciated!

hi, someone on here suggested i remove the battery from my alpine for an hour or so as so to clear off any programs that may be slowing my phone down (i brought the phone off ebay lol). All was going fine until i tried reinstalling mobireader. It worked fine before i let the battery drain, all other programs i had previously installed i have no problem with.
So i downloaded every single .cab and .msi that supported wm 2003 se yet they all will not launch once installed. i then tried other programs that allow you to view pcr files (ebook files) yet they all seem to not want to launch once installed. any ideas whats going on?
I have no problem as far as i can tell with any other program so why would mobireader not be working now? its exactly the same program that was working before and more importantly, why dont any other ebook reader/viewers working?
any ideas welcome.

i'm trying to connect my tytnII with ubuntu.
couldn't obtain any result with synCE, but on an ubuntu wiki i've read that wm6 is not yet supported. one thing that interested me very much is the chance to connect the ppc t least as a mass storage installing on the phone the WM5torage program.
since the thing i'm intereseted the most is to browse the folders to upload stuffs as well, i've installed the program.... but... it is not recognized at all, i activate the program and connect the usb to pc, but ubuntu stays quiet and doesn't recognize nor do anything.
is there something more should i do in order to make it work ?

How does this work as the program is for a Palm and WinXP Desktop.
I am using ubuntu gutsy and WM6 ... kinda backwards here LOL
If anyone has any tips for getting these 2 to sync that would be great! I also have a TYTN II and have had no success in getting these to sync at all with SynCE.

I've been attempting to get Synce working, but have utterly failed; largely because the documentation is so utterly ****.

A Different Option
What I ended up doing is getting a free hosted exchange server with http://live.mail2web.com so that at least will sync my phone and back everything up. Also I know there is an evolution plugin that will sync to exchange servers too, the only thing that doesn't work is getting cabs and other files to/from the phone and computer. As for PIM information, it all syncs OTA and is done over Microsoft Direct Push Technology.

Mail2web will not work
Evolution cannot pass the @ symbol to log you into mail2web so that won't work. WM5torage is free, available in these forums and works flawlessly. Been using it for awhile, Ubuntu recognizes it as an external drive.

I have successfully got synce for file browsing and internet sharing working over USB with kubuntu 7.10. However, at the time you had to apply a linux kernel patch to get the WM6 device recognized. You also had to be running the latest synce (not ubuntu stock).
Here's the ubuntu bug report on the kernel side of things:

... the first patch listed (from the synce subversion repository) was the one I have used successfully although it looks like it has been rolled into the 2.6 tree (can't see the change in LXR for the latest stable 2.6.24.4 kernel, but I may be wrong). Here's hoping it'll just run out of the box soon.

With the patch and updated software the WM6 device attaches and shows up as a regular network device (rndis0 I think), negotiates private addresses for the link and you can just set a default route out of rndis0 to use the internet. Strangely, I did find that I had to set internet sharing on my mobile to share via bluetooth rather than USB to get that bit working.
Sorry the instructions are a bit rough and ready. If anyone knows the location of a proper howto, do post it. I had to piece it together myself a few months back and it was quite painful.

Has anyone run into an issue connecting to their PC from their Tilt after installing Service Pack 3 for XP? I read somewhere there was an issue with RDC and they suggested swapping out the mstc.exe and mstcax.dll from service pack 2. I tried that, and im still unsuccessful connecting to my PC.
Any Suggestions?

You should try it with hamachi to be sure if its an firewall or not.
Run hamachi on your mobile, and also the pc, and check it out

Has no one else expereinced this problem. It just seems so strange that it worked perfect right before the SP3 Install. Has anything changed in WM6.1? Im just wondering if there is maybe a registry hack that I might need to enable or disable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I did, The problem was that my IP Address that was given by my router to the PC changed. Then I had to reopen 3389 using the different 192.x.x.x address. Thank you though for your help. This is the best site for information on your PDA Phones.

I have a laptop with Vista. Every time I connect or disconnect my Diamond, an Explorer windows opens showing the contents of c:\windows\system32.
It was not always so; this behaviour started suddenly and I find it highly unpleasant.
Does anyone have a clue how I can stop this?
I have the same problem but with a different folder. I have it on my Diamond and had it also on my XDA Trion. I think it is a problem with my pc because I sync with two pc's and it only does this with one of them.... Also, I don't think it is a Vista problem because my faulty pc is XP.
I hope someone can help because it is a pain to keep closing down the folder....

Was having the same problem with the System32 folder which was highly annoying. Found the solution on another site, the fix is a registry hack for the PC:
Looking at "\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows CE Services\AutoStartOnConnect" and see a default key that has no value : put a space in the value.
For those who have the same problem unplugging the device, it is the key "\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows CE Services\AutoStartOnDisconnect"

Hi,
I am trying to help my little sister with a project she is stuck on. She is trying to get a bar-code scanner to work with a Raspberry Pi 3 (scanner connected via Ethernet). She has found and worked on a piece of code (attached) that works no problem on Windows 10 on her laptop, but it will not work on the Raspberry Pi running Windows 10 IoT Core. The code is written in C# on Visual Studio. When opened on Visual Studio on the Raspberry, the code looks like it doesn't recognize all the functions that it does on the laptop, and it obviously doesn't work.
Any ideas? What to try? What would you recommend for the next steps?
PS: my apologies for the probable lack of useful information and misuse of terminology as I am not familiar at all with any of this. But I really would like to help my sister who is pulling her hair out right now. She is not as comfortable in English as I am, so I figured I would try to post in English and hope that someone can figure out how to get her going with this.
