Oh em effin gee notification issue

Okay. I don't even ask for help because I know as soon as I do, first reply is "google it ho." I don't even register for these sites because of that.
With that said, if there's already a thread about it let me know because god damn, theres a little new message icon won't go away!!
I've been searching for an answer for a while now. I'm pissed because it shouldn't be that difficult !!
Before you respond you should know I'm pretty versed in standard usage. I KNOW that with 2 apps that do the same things, you'll get 2 notifications. (Obviously not from handcent/messaging)" Problem is where the **** is it from!! Has anyone seen this specific icon?
I have perception 8w/voodoo directly off of the thread here. Was fine until I restored all my apps(nodata) with titanium backup, then every message it shows up, wont go away until I actually hit clear, does not automatically delete after reading.

I don't know what icon you are talking about. Do what norcal einstein says, you can use photobucket or flickr, etc.

Photobucket has an app that will let you upload and even give you the

Go into messaging, go into menu, disable notifications.

Yes, it's true. After remaining thanked 109 times for several months, someone actually had the audacity to thank me one more time, thus bringing my thanks count up to 110.
This so infuriated the moderators that the thanks system has been permanently disabled.
Perhaps a "hate" count system could be implemented ?

My thread talking about no thanks in OT did not even get locked. Straight to deletion. I've yet to hear a sensible reason why eliminate "thanks" just in OT. I understand a new system is being tested and will soon be implemented in all forums, but why single out OT?

Lol, your right, though I've seen others take it far more seriously.

This is a pointless thread. The admins made a decision. A decision I agree with and makes a lot of sense. The thanks function is designed to be used when someone has helped regarding the actual purpose of the site, which is mobile device development. None of which occurs in the Off-topic section. Further discussion of this is bound to create arguments and controversy, therefore thread closed.

[Q] Google Now is slow!

Hello guys!
My dad just got the S3 and I fell in love with the OS almost instantly! Just days letter an update was released for the Note - guess what, it is the same OS and features!
Google Now was the feature I was most looking forward to but sadly the voice recogniser is late to start. As you all know - the device can only hear you when the Microphone Icon has turned red. It is late by about 1 second and when asking small questions to the phone, that is a lot :/
Does anyone know how I can fix this? The phone hasn't been flashed or anything, it is just as I bought it except it has some updates from Samsung/Google.

Hello, x33eraser,
My problem with the app is that it is slow to understand/ hear questions. Basically the Red sign comes on later than it should, for example, if I said:
"Price of Champions League Tickets" it will only hear ' pions league tickets' or something completely ridiculous.
Can this be fixed?

Well, I can only suggest to try clear its cache or reinstalling it.
To clear cache settings>applications , find the app, tap on it and clear its cache. If both doesnt work, you might wanna contact the dev, it could be the app stability.

How is your Internet connection? Stable?
Also, the dev is google lol.

The stock weather widget that has the phrase under it about recently updated or sync. Any way of removing the recently updated line?

Wow so yeah this forum is if you have a wider or app others can download not talk about so you are wrong. Then ur other post belongs in the general cause you just say hi look at me I bought a phone. If you would of posted this in the q&a then maybe you would of gotten some help or even a Dev to let you know if it was possible. Now you just gonna run at the mouth and people report this thread to the mods so they move it to proper location. Show respect to others and you get it back . the guy above me has been around way way before you so he might know a bit more. Just saying.

Not sure , never had this issue before. I receive some kind of low quality images with some of my text messages. Can anyone advice what it is please and how to turn off? Thanks.

It basically shows a preview of any internet url, not sure about webpages that don't have photos. The preview kind of sucks as it's limited but somewhat gives you an idea. That way you don't have to click on the url to figure out what it is if it's not familar to you.
One example, one of my lil brothers used to send me youtube links that were gorey, etc. He knows I don't like viewing them. Now he can't trick me anymore.
Or if you happen to receive spam texts or texts from parties unknown you can get an idea of what the link is instead of having to visit a url that might be harmful. I don't know, I've never received spam texts or from people I don't know but just a thought.
I can see how it can be annoying to some but at least we have the option & can turn it off as desired. To add, the stock Gallery has a new feature I've never seen before (maybe the S8 had it, I don't know). If you take a screenshot of a website it'll include the url so you can visit tge page again in the future. I have it turned on but have not tried it yet.
