After unlocking the device from HTC Dev, I installed the rom from this post:

As per the instructions in this post:

Which are:
how to flash rom
1. follow root procedures posted here - LINK
2. flash recovery image posted here - LINK
3. flash boot.img posted here - LINK
4. boot into recovery and flash rcmix3d and reboot
Last step is to install the file from the recovery:

Now, you can read and write in Arabic.

Thanks, I done all that. Flashed everything but Arabic is still not there. As ROM in this thread was not working so I installed chineese rom and then Arabic language pack. Is that what it should work? or anything else. Please advice. Thanks.

Did you install Arabic keyboard such as MultiLing keyboad, Go Keyboard or A.I.type Keyboard?

The patch provided is for regular sensation phones guys

The patch is for 2.3.6 roms in general. I tried it for my Sensation XL and it worked perfectly.

Works for my XL
I also tried it on my XL and it works like a charm.
I now have RTL in Arabic and Hebrew.

you should look for roms like mine...which are patched with auto rtl patcher
or patch it yourself:

flashed it AND IT WORKS but its in CHINESE LOL
it rebooted my phone straight away so not sure how it will sit with others. i then went back into recovery and it works fine. i am gonna flash cappy's rom to see whats what LOL

Post the recovery please, so other people don't have to go through the same process of registering.

[RECOVERY]Fully functional Clockwork mod by Paul O'Brien

Hey guys
Some of us here are aware of the current issues faced with the current recovery provided to us by anzhi. There are issues writing to boot partition hence having to flash boot.img manually and wipe data/factory reset seems to not do as such. With this in mind I approached Paul O'Brien founder of Modaco to compile a new recovery based on same original sources but with correct partition numbers etc. This has been done so I am posting this as a reference to his site.
command: fastboot flash recovery r1-recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.7-modaco-runnymede.img(tip is to type r1 then hit tab to complete full line without typing it all)

Scroll down then click slow download. After 30 secs enter catchaphrase then download. Just been on a downloaded it just to check

if you search you will find quite easily. read first post

Maybe I dont understand....there are two or more alternatives, so you can write it in busybox, commander of your Handy.....it adb with PC.....

Man are you kidding lol! Turn phone off and turn on while holding vol down and power. There thats bootloader. You cannot adb fastboot! adb reboot bootloader or just do it manually mate. If it doesnt work manually make sure fastboot is turned off in settings and try again. Once in bootloader fastboot will be highlighted so press power to select it and it will say fastboot usb plug. Type command there in cmd prompt. Have to be in folder where adb and fatboot tools are

the first step is to unlock bootloader................. i stated that! why is it that some of you guys just dont follow procedure! all this time spent trying to help you and your bootloader was locked! you cannot flashed recovery nor permanently root without that!

If your device is s off you should be able to go back to GB ruu. Just go to htcruu.com and find a ruu for Runnymede, it should be named something with Europe and then take the one with smallest number

There are several ways. But why back to stock GB ROM?
1.
Unlock boot loader, flash recovery and then flash a custom GB ROM
2.
Still unlock and flash and root and then s off and then run the ruu file you like.
All can be done with my tool easy. It will just not flash ROM for you. Also look in the thread for info.
If you want custom ROM then the safest way I know is after you have rooted your device and makes it s off , download the Chinese ROM and rcmix ROM I have linked to in my thread.
When you have flashed Chinese ROM, let it boot up and pick English, go to developer menu and enable debbuging for USB and reboot to recovery, also done easy with my tool, and flash rcmix ROM and do the same. When you have flashed both and are in recovery, flash any ROM for sensation XML , but remember to do it as written in the thread where ROM is downloaded.

Check your cid number. And post it so we can see what version you will need. You can do it in my tool.

Goto footballs thread & download the exe file.. if u have downloaded the zip from my thread then it needs to be flashed from recovery.. for that u need a unlocked bootloader

How to hard reset without power button

Hi guys, My sensation xl is abouth 4 months in repair, but they dont know how to repair it , so tommorrow i'll bring him back to me. The answer is : can i reset data without power button (not working) , i just wanna sell this phone but there are lots of my msgs photos etc. i cant power on from usb cable too bcs i must confirm power with power button (i have recovery mod , phone is rooted). Any ideas?

When it is shutoff and USB cable from computer is in the phone, the phone should boot up in recovery.

If your phone is Unlock, it is better to lock it and again flash with official ROM, all will clear in phone and storage.
you can use ADB for above without using and power key.
