I've tried,failed.it shows assert failed.
I changed the update script,it still assert failed.
maybe CWM 5.0.2.8 doesn't support this kind of assert and apply_patch?

you can install this with stock recovery only i think

yes it is posible , I relocked the bootloader , installed the stock ROM , and update to android 4 over the air , now I have the official android 4on my phone .

no intention to steal the thread.. but to save the hasle for u guys.. i've already released the complete flashable ROM in my XL 3.6 thread..

Isn't yours for the Asia ruu. The benifits of this one is that in theory itll work a bit better for people in Europe

Only thing that would really benefit EU people is the radio i think he has a new rom based on WWE release though

earlier release was asia based but since my device is also from EU so updated it today & took the dump so v1.3 is based on EU release

You need S-off to flash radio so for most users it's pretty useless

Don't forget the apps with the Rom will be slightly different. They'll be more specific to Europe

Connect to pc.
Put phone in to fastboot mode.
Power + vol down.
Go to android sdk folder.
Open cmd.
Write.
Fastboot oem lock
Enter.

You can extract it from RUU. But that like AndroHero say you need s-off to flash it.

how to know the original ROM for my sensation xl

hi all
i got an sensation xl and i flashed a developed rom
my device is working properly but the battery consumption is not normal and the full charge battery will be consumed after 6 hours which is not normal compared to my other device one x - i think it is because of the flashed rom
now i want to install an official rom for middle east but that is not possible as the s-off is not available yet. accordingly i have no choice only to install the original official rom for my sensation xl - but, the problem is i dont know the source region of my device
so is is it possible to know the official rom from the device serial number or IMEI?
or if any body tried a cocked rom which is stable and have low battery consumption please advice also

Frankly i didn't flash any but users report good thing about Alex and Musketeer rom's. Try them out

Look for your CID and you will know the region.

You'll get everything here mate. Unlock bootloader, Root & CWM Recovery and S-Off and its very easy to use as well.

If your device is s off you should be able to go back to GB ruu. Just go to htcruu.com and find a ruu for Runnymede, it should be named something with Europe and then take the one with smallest number

There are several ways. But why back to stock GB ROM?
1.
Unlock boot loader, flash recovery and then flash a custom GB ROM
2.
Still unlock and flash and root and then s off and then run the ruu file you like.
All can be done with my tool easy. It will just not flash ROM for you. Also look in the thread for info.
If you want custom ROM then the safest way I know is after you have rooted your device and makes it s off , download the Chinese ROM and rcmix ROM I have linked to in my thread.
When you have flashed Chinese ROM, let it boot up and pick English, go to developer menu and enable debbuging for USB and reboot to recovery, also done easy with my tool, and flash rcmix ROM and do the same. When you have flashed both and are in recovery, flash any ROM for sensation XML , but remember to do it as written in the thread where ROM is downloaded.

Check your cid number. And post it so we can see what version you will need. You can do it in my tool.

hope this work cause i download like 10 rom so far and i really need this to work if it don't thing all jst unlock back my boatloader and root it back .....

i dowloaded the ruu ... and it came up as a zip file and i dont know how to flash the zip ruu on my phone still need help

Goto footballs thread & download the exe file.. if u have downloaded the zip from my thread then it needs to be flashed from recovery.. for that u need a unlocked bootloader

Htc sensation xl won't boot into recovery

My sister gave me an HTC sensation xl and I decided to upgrade it to ics, after flashing the ics ruu, phone won't boot pass htc screen and phone won't enter recovery, but it can enter fastboot mode, I have done all I know to get into recovery including flashing recovery for 1.28 which is the version of my hboot but still it won't boot into recovery to enable me downgrade back. I have flashed other ruu but still can't boot. Pls help

Download htcmultitool from thread 1st, and try custom Rom

Tried the tool, it flash the recovery quite well, but I still can't get into it. And even when I try to wipe recovery partition with adb using fastboot erase recovery. I get error. How do i get the recovery working?

I have an htc sensation xl as well with hboot 1.28. I unlock it with htcdev and my htc is unlocked but s-on. i try several tools to s-off or root with s-on mode but my htc still can not load recovery menu. pls help me. i try with pyramid and runnymed cwm recovery images but problem is still go on.
