Here's a post by @deathnotice01 that helped. Follow these instructions to modify your platform.xml file
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2607215
Then with Root Browser, navigate to /device/mnt, long press "media_rw" and select permissions. Set permissions to rwxrwxrwx by checking the top 9 boxes. Unfortunately, every time you reboot you will have to set permissions again. Unless of course you soft-reboot, then they stay

One more thing, after you set permissions correctly you need to kill your backup app and restart it in order for to find your backup. PM me if you need any specific issues addressed

Pls help me to help you.

I really don't think it matters if it goes to internal or external. could be your signal was a little wonky and you got a bad download. always a good idea to check the md5 against the source before you install it. easy enough to do through root explorer.
In relation to this thread i just want to ask how can i update into JB coming from Overcome rom, what is the best custom ROM so far for the P1000
Any success, djerk?
My Tab2 7.0 is a GT-P3113 also, (rooted) and I would like to install Jelly Bean. Hoping to find someone who installed a stable JB version on same. Were you attempting JB? Did you find a way?

0 (zero) folder?

I was looking through my files in a file manager app and I came upon a folder called "0" (zero, or maybe the letter o). I opened it and it contained a whole bunch of folders filled with stuff I had from old ROMs I installed. I was just wondering if it is important or not? Can I delete it?

Not sure about that. I would keep it unless someone that knows more says it's fine to delete. I don't think it's used by holoblur, but it may be used by other ROMs you may want to flash later.
I have that in my stock ROM as well. I don't think there is an easy way to get rid of it.

You have to leave it. Something with the roms causes that to happen and if you delete one it'll delete the other.

make a backup in cwm then first test by renaming and if you do not come across issues then delete
ps this is experimental so you must be prepared flash back to stock and lose a'll your info

I've noticed that as well on my phone, tested a couple of custom Roms like LiquidSmooth before coming back to HoloBlur. For me it was data files/folders from the stock build, was in a folder called "0" in the root of the internal memory. It's old data that I needed so I moved it back to the root directory and overwritten/merged with whatever new folders that were created (since they were fresh/empty folders anyway) and then I deleted the 0 folder.
It's safe to do so, one of custom Roms that was flashed moved all the internal data to that 0 folder during the install.

What ROM did you come from? Usually CyanogenMod makes directories like that. I am running my own customized version of CM and my sdcard is not "/storage/sdcard" but is really "/storage/legacy/0 (or 1 depending on internal or external sdcard)". If you are sure that it is from an old rom than by all means delete it if you don't want it. (Note: I take no responsibility for lost or damaged files)
I always do a system format and data abs cache never had this pop up

If you flash dhacker gapps from link below yes you can enable Art. It runs a bit faster as I noticed and no errors.
I been running this since last night and i see it runs good.
This is a report i can provide since testing this rom for over night.
Clean flashed MB886 11/12/2013 Build.
Flashed latest ART-Compatible-Gapps-dHacker29.
Switched to ART. Reboot took a while as expected.
Same transition bug as in a few builds earlier on cm10.2
Plenty of Interface-related settings are missing
Video streaming services don't work on Hi Def videos
MXPlayer complains it can not play video using HW / HW+ video decoders, only SW decoder works
Front camera isn't working.
External SD card is there. :good:
But is NOT writing still :silly:
A probable side effect of ART: can't get root any longer
FIX:
How to maintain root using ART\-_-/DALVIK
1. Make sure your currently in dalvik mode.
2. Download SuperSU
3. Update the binary
4. Check it's option for "survive OTA"
5. Reboot using ART mode
Ok after many tries on Art and going back to Dalvik. I can say I totally lost root with no way to re-root the device again. I have tried zip files, motochopper, Myth Tools etc... and no root eventhought it does flash superuser. I guess I will go back to AOSP for now

EDIT: After asking for USB Debugging permission it says device not supported.

CM 11.0 for Atrix hd (do we still have Root? )

Guys I'm currently running CM 10.2 and I'm dying to try CM 11. However, I've got a few questions.. Am I able to have the phone rooted if I install the latest update? Will I be able to restore the applications stored on my SD card (apk files). Will my phone play the music stored on my SD card? Please let me know. I have read the whole thread but I'm not sure yet. Thanks in advance

CM11 currently have problems with video playback (for example, youtube).
Video playback is fixed on [4.4]AOSP KitKat.
