You only start out with 12.6GB of usable storage in the first place. Once flashed you can remove CM zip. Use Clean Master to clean your tablet up. Sounds like you have the proper storage.

Everything is working great for me on this rom, but if I try to update g+ or sign into YouTube, it says I need to update play services. When I try and do this, I get an error that says something about the file being unsigned.

A couple things you can try.
First is to boot into recovery and wipe CACHE/DALVIC only and then reboot into system and see if that helps.
The other is to boot into recovery and flash the most recent signe Gapps and then wipe CACHE/DALVIC only and see if that helps. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2387878
Thanks, I'll give it a try.

@LinearEquation the 813 files took care of the problem. I had 812 installed.

If you made a backup of the stock boot, recovery and system partitions, you can restore them pretty easily. Go to this thread and follow the instructions in step 2 to restore your tablet.

You will want to boot into TWRP and flash your nandroid backup. If you don't have one then you will have to adb.sideload a ROM or factory image.
Edit: Make sure you always "swipe" for a factory reset before flashing. Wipe Dalvik and CACHE after.
It wont get to the twrp or blue kindle fire boot screen

Sounds like you need a fastboot cable.

You still need money for the breakout board, but $4ish is better than dropping $13 some.

Hello all, I just installed cm 11 on my KFHD, and i downloaded the amazon app store.
When I go to download stuff i bought on the amazon store(nova 3, dead space, etc) it won't let me install. I went online onto my account and i searched nova 3 amazon appstore and it popped up, and im signed in to my accound, and it says it is not available with my android device but it is available with my Kindle, which I already flashed cm 11 onto?
Any one know a solution for this?
Bump. If there is no solution I will probably use kinology,

Nova 3 and Dead Space from the Amazon app store are marked Kindle Version. That means only a tablet with Kindle prop builds will allow download of those apps. If it was regular apk it would more than likely work but it's a Kindle edition apk.

The apps in question are pain apps not free. I would not want to spend extra coin and loose data either.
Are there any kernels (CM11 compatible ) that allow for over clocking, or is there a way to force this or edit files to do this myself?
Edit: Was meant to be in the 8.9 thread.. Mods please move, my bad.
