Earlier today I saw a CyanogenMod 11 nightly so I decided to update from cyanogenmod 10.2 through cmupdater but it showed a status 7 error now I bricked my nook. Every time I try to boot it up it goes to cwm but I cannot select anything. Can someone please help me. :crying:

In order to flash the CM11 zip you need to update your CWM to 6045.
Make a new CWM SD from verygreen's CM11 thread.

Hey thanks man, I'll try it after I finish school.
**Update**
It works! on CWM 6.0.4.6, thanks for your help
TWRP 2.6.3.0 works also fine here, also the last CM11-20140113 update worked using TWRP

Hi there! I did what you did (use cmupdater to update and got the status 7 error). I followed verygreen's upgrade (not new install) instruction and updated to CWM 6.0.4.5, but when I flashed CM11 I still get the status 7 error. Did you install as New Install or Upgrade from CM10.x?
I then use the New Installs instruction, unzip the initial SD image, unzipped and wrote the 5 files with winimage to a SD card. But when I went to choose zip from /sdcard or /external_sd, it didn't see the files. And if I just save the initial SD img file to the SD, it will see it, but then gives me the status 7 error.
Also, there are two files there "for completeness"... what does that mean? Should I use those instead?
What did I do wrong? Many thanks to save my nook (HD+)!

Sorry for the late reply, don't know if you still have this issue but anyway... First I didn't use winimage i used win32 disk imager (maybe that's the problem), I also used CWM 6.0.4.6 from verygreen and I used the latest CM11 official nightly. I did a clean install but you could try installing over your current cm update but I can't guarantee anything. Hope this helps!

Install an older version of CWM through Rom Manager app. Should be 5.2.xx. This one should work just fine.

Just go and search for cwm touch flasher optimus black and look for an entry made by redy06. He created a flasher for the 5 version. You can also have a look into dev section. Dont know, if you maybe are able to install a cwm created by tantrums.

By example of this thread, I thought it would be convenient to also create a separate thread for our L5. I will update this first post with relevant information and links when needed.
Info
CyanogenMod's site: http://www.cyanogenmod.org/
Announcement on Google+ by CM: link
Screenshots by luKi13223: link
Screenshots by Sirrocco with dpi lowered to 130 and theme applied: link
Requirements
Properly unlocked boot loader (here, a guide on top of first post)
Root/working CWM
Ability to read and common sense
Downloads
Nightlies started building. You can get the latest build from http://get.cm/?device=e610 OR http://10.cmxlog.com/?device=e610
CWM Recovery by Ricardo Cerqueira (CyanogenMod): Direct download. Alternatively you can download the flashable zip provided in the attachment, it's the same, but easier to install if you already had a recovery installed.
Google Apps (GAPPS) for Jelly Bean/CM10: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip
Short Installations guide
Make sure you meet the requirements
Download needed files (see above) and place them on your internal sd card
Update your ClockWorkMod Recovery to v6.0.2.8 (you can do this by using terminal, adb (guide) or use the flashable zip I've attached
This will avoid status(7) error messages and prevent issues with ROM Manager.
Flash "cm-10-build date-NIGHTLY-e610.zip" from your internal sd card with CWM (or if you prefer with ROM Manager)
[*]Optional: Flash custom kernel by PinkFlozd: link to thread WARNING: Don't install this kernel with builds created on 21 april 2013 or later (at least not untill someone updates the kernel)
Optional: Flash "gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip"
After first boot see if your receiving any signal (provided your normally have any signal on that spot). If not, don't worry, a simple reboot might fix it.
Enjoy
Bugs:
Considering these are the very first nightly builds of CM10 for our device, the dev did a pretty great job. Almost everything is working. Thanks to him :highfive:
Network / data is not working after 1st boot. A simple reboot after a few minutes might fix this
Multi-touch not fully working (dual touch works)?
SD card is full error, while there is still room left (up to at least 300 MB). I haven't experienced this bug in a while, it may be fixed, but I'm not sure.
Accelerometer
Small mods/Fixes
Wake with Home key
Pinkflozd's custom kernel[/COLOR]. Supports multi-touch and allows for overclocking. His kernel doesn't work with builds after April 14th
Overclocked kernel for builds made after April 14th
Workaround to make accelerometer work

same here...
Will the developer look here for bugs? Or is there some other way to report CM10 bugs?
Anyway, I noticed that it drains battery much faster than the stock rom too.
Tonight it drained 20% of battery just by standby.

First install the recovery provide by CM. This will fix this problem. You will need to copy your flashables zips and back ups to the internal SD-card, because this version only mounts internal SD (instead of only the external)

I don't know if he will look here. We could inform him about it, when we have more clarity about the bugs.
My main purpose was to concentrate talk about CM10 in one place, because in the other thread also other subjects were discussed and it got messy. And we might help each other here with CM10 related problems.

E: I found out why there is a bootloop, we didn't took the right bootloader, see here my tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2186161 - if you do everything like i did, everything will work properly
Use older build, idk - new is more bugged :/ Old working smarter than new.
OK, I've got it installed (nightly 20130310), first I installed the provided CWM (6.0.2.8), had to do that manually though, because for some reason Rom Manager destroyed the 6.0.2.5 version I had when I tried to install CWM through Rom Manager.
It's running smoothly, although I also see a little graining in the screen. I had no data issues.
Also, booting didn't take that long.
One strange phenomenon:
I had FreeL5 running before CM10. Before flashing CM10 I did a factory reset from CWM, cleaned cache and Dalvik cache. After booting CM10 for the first time, my WiFi settings were still there... hadn't expected that, but since I'm on a corporate WiFi connection which needs a username and password to connect, it was nice not to have to retype it :victory:

he changed the update script. the official cm flashable zip checks for the codename "p880". since its not the correct codename for our phone ("x3" is correct) and all our recoveries use that codename "x3" its not flashable. what he did is changing "p880" to "x3" in the update script (in the first line) or he completely removed that check
Wasn't easier to just use the official CWM from the CM team? Unless you use twrp ofcourse

Restore the backup you made in step 2, install newest official CWM via ROM Manager (download it from play store if you don't already have it) then boot back into CWM and install CM again.

Also I honestly don't see any real benefit to this thread when installing official CWM solves the status 7 issue and allows for OTA updating of CM instead of having to wait for the OP of this thread to upload a fix every single day...
argh

I was afraid you were gonna say that! You can still boot into CWM though right? If you can, and your computer has an SD slot, just take out your external SD card and put it into an adapter and put the fixed version from this thread on that, then you can just install it from the external SD in CWM.

Sorry didnt saw that there is a newer version for clockworkmod
right use that 6.0.3.1
I installed the [ROM] [NIGHTLY] [JB] [4.2.2] CyanogenMod 10.1 nightly from milaq, and when I choose "boot CyanogenMod" from the moboot 0.3.8 menu, it continues with some blue text (loading boot/uimage, ramdisk, kernel, booting...), the screen goes black for a little bit, and then it reboots to the moboot menu again. Both WebOS and ClockworkMod load fine from the moboot menu.
I had some older version of CyanogenMod installed previously that I didn't care about, so this is what I did:
Ran ACMEUninstaller, after which the moboot menu was gone
Within WebOS, ran a Full Reset
Reloaded the WebOS via WebOS Doctor
Mounted the Touchpad and copied these files to /cminstall: cm-10.1-20130601-UNOFFICIAL-tenderloin.zip, moboot_038-tenderloin.zip, update-CWM6_tenderloin-20121215.zip, update-gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip
Ran ACMEInstaller3 and watched it install/reboot
I also tried the 20130531 build with no change.

If you have problems with novaterm, there is a workaround on page 12.
I've done this more than 3 times already. Be aware that you will lose all your data, unless you back it up to your PC.
Good luck.
I was able to delete all of the partitions, reinstall 3.0.0, update to 3.0.5, and then followed the installation instructions again for CyanogenMod, but I'm right back where I started. The moboot menu will load and I can get into WebOS or ClockworkMod, but if I choose CyanogenMod then after it says "booting..." the screen will go black for a bit and then reboot.
Edit: I double checked the MD5 sums of the files I downloaded, just in case.

Hmm.... Maybe someone else can step in and help. It's strange, if you can get into moboot, webos and cwm, you should be able to get into android.
Good luck.
I installed moboot & ClockworkMod 6.x with the ACME installer.
I then booted to ClockworkMod and installed CM10.1 & gapps from there, as installing CM10.1 with the ACME installer as well just made it reboot over and over.
No remove the update-. Use gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip, what version of cm were you on prior to this? Try to flash a different cm10.1.

Same thing with
moboot_038-tenderloin
update-CWM6_tenderloin-20121215
gapps-jb-20130301-signed
skz_tenderloin-2.00_jb_4.2.2-02JUNE2013-065943_Unsigned
The Touchpad comes into a boot loop and goes into moboot menu again and again. CWM6 starts correctly.
Any solutions ?

I installed moboot & ClockworkMod 6.x with the ACME installer.
I then booted to ClockworkMod and installed CM10.1 & gapps from there, as installing CM10.1 with the ACME installer as well just made it reboot over and over.

I just realized I hadn't responded to this thread. The tip from BitingChaos got it done. With moboot and CWM working, I copied the mod and gapps to the folder as before, but booted into ClockworkMod to install it. Rebooted and it booted straight into Cyanogenmod.
What i did is put cm9 and then flash 10.1 from cwm

same issue
I installed CM10.1 on my HP Touchpad and have been facing the same issue.
There was never a version of Android running on my touchpad ever before, so this was the first time.
Following were the steps I followed:-
Copied over the following 4 files to 'cminstall' folder on my touchpad:-
cm-10.1-20130809-UNOFFICIAL-tenderloin
gapps-jb-20130812-signed
moboot_038-tenderloin
update-cwm_tenderloin-1012
Got touchpad to recovery mode and ran ACMEInsaller. Post installation, the tablet came up with a 5 second down timer while showing a moboot menu. I kept the defaults and it restarted to the same menu. I selected it to boot into android and it restarted to the same menu.
Then I wiped off everything using 'AcmeUninstaller', followed the same installation process and was stuck with the same problem.
Did this 3 times with different 10.1 ROMs
Then got all my precious data wiped off after following
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1426244
anyhow, went ahead with CM10.1 installation and it happened again
Can someone please help.
I am not that techie... just followed the following liliputing tutorial (with updated files as mentioned above) and it isn't working...
http://liliputing.com/2012/01/how-to-install-android-4-0-on-the-hp-touchpad-cyanogenmod-9-alpha.html
Again, this was the 1st time I had ever attempted to install android on my touchpad.. are there any other per-requisites?

Well if you look at what your following its saying “STEP BY STEP GUIDE FOR CM9" if your following that guide it would only be correct if you follow it to the T. which is CM9 not CM10 or any 10.1. What you want to do if your following that guide and I know its a hassle.
You want to put all the correct things in it besides gApps which is moboot update cwm tenderloin 1012 along with cm9 and you can option in putting in gApps if you want but “since your going to flash cm10 right after" there's no point for cm9 gApps.
Next all you have to do is boot into webos taking that your starting fresh. Put those files in it. Then run the acmeinstaller3 command prompt then you'll boot and you should be running cm9 now.
Okay since now your running cm9 (which is more stable than cm10) go back into webos then put the 10.1 file that you want to have on your touchpad along with the correct gApps in cminstall reboot after
*notice only those two zips should be in there now.*
Then when you get to moboot toggle to clockworkmod then go to
apply zip from folder-cminstall-toggle to the 10.1 zip then open it then after it finishes installing go back to cm install and install gApps and it should be working.

I'm still struggling with this issue. I got to the point where Installation of ACMEInstaller3 and moboot_038-tenderloin.zip files which completed successfully then when I got to the moboot screen and chose to boot from Cyanogenmod, it keeps rebooting back to the moboot screen. I found your response to the similar problem above so I followed the instruction and placed both cm-10.1-20130808-EXPERIMENTAL-tenderloin-BLUETOOTH_TEST.zip and gApp in the cminstall folder of Touchpad while in USB mode then installed using clockworkmod option from the moboot screen. It cofirmed installation and I reboot Touchpad but it's continuing to repeat reboot process over and over again. Please help. I'm doing this from the fresh install with WebOS for the first time. Thanks in advance.

and it worked
- Have the zip files for ClockworkMod and AcmeInstaller applications in the 'cminstall' folder
- Copy the CynogenMod and other zip files gApps etc in a different folder (lets say android-setup)
- Reboot and install ClockworkMod
- Reboot and from the moboot, select install from sd card
- Navigate to the folder where you have the CM zip file and select the file. Confirm and install. This will work
- Now reboot and from moboot, select to install from sd card and select the gapps zip file install the google applications.
Hope this works for you

Okay so let's start with the basics.
Uninstall everything! you need to get *AcmeUninstaller* http://goo.im/devs/jcsullins/cmtouchpad/tools/
Hook up your touchpad to your desktop Put your touchpad in DFU mode.
(Restart and hold the volume up button)
Place AcmeUninstaller into the *Palm, Inc* folder
Open command prompt via search or find cmd
In cmd prompt you need to.
CD /Program files/Palm, inc
Next
novacom.exe boot mem:// < ACMEUninstaller
Now your touchpad should be removing all those files
*Boot back into webos on the touchpad and mount it*
Next Make sure you have the correct java installed. After you installed java
Install novacom https://code.google.com/p/universal-novacom-installer/downloads/list
Then install Nova com driver.
Next you want to get
*Acmeinstaller3*
*Clockwork mod*
*moboot*
AND THIS IS THE KEY RIGHT HERE!
*CM9 NIGHTLY* http://get.cm/?device=tenderloin
download the top one from this link.
(You can keep cyangenmod 10 and gApps in the android setup folder but you will be needing Cyangenmod 9 for the time being)
Open *my computer* on your desktop go to
*program files*
*palm, inc* now place Acmeinstaller3
Now open your touchpad and create a folder *cminstall*
Now what needs to be in this folder?
*Moboot*
*Clockwork mod* (update-cwm-tenderloin)
AND THIS IS THE KEY!
*CYANGENMOD 9*
you can have cyangenmod 10 and gApps for cyangenmod 10 in another folder say android install
*but the key is you need cyangenmod 9*
After putting those 3 files into cm install
Restart your touchpad and put into DFU MODE (restart and hold the volume up key)
Now on your desktop open up command prompt or cmd
Navigate to
CD /program Files/Palm, Inc
Next
novacom.exe boot mem:// < ACMEInstaller3
Now it should be loading up
Moboot
Clockwork mod
cm9
Once finished it should restart then boot into cyangenmod 9 it'll show the blue android powering up like he was in Dragonball.
After booting into cyangenmod 9 restart your touchpad hold the top button and cm will bring up options to restart.
Now boot into clockworkmod
then go to apply zip from files
Navigate to your android install folder that you put cyangenmod 10 and gApps in then unzip the files.
First do cyangenmod 10 the gApps after
Now reboot and it should load cyangenmod 10 it'll show the android face from angry to calm

No android keyboard
I followed your instruction above and I was able to install cyanogen9 then updated to cyanogen10 but now I'm seeing a error message "Unfortunately, Android keyboard has stopped." after it started up. So I'm not able to type in password for Wifi setup nor type anything into the address bar on the browser.
Cyanogen 10.1 version is what I have installed and gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip is what I installed with it. I'm thinking I have the wrong gapps version. I think the correct version I need to install is gapps-jb-20130812-signed.zip. If this is correct assumption, how do I uninstall and reinstall the correct version? I don't want to screw up by trying to install this copy over the existing copy using Clockworks or is it safe?
Please help!

That's good that I was able to instruct you on how to do it. I'm not too sure what went wrong. But it wouldn't be a good idea to flash an older gApps over a newer gApps can you navigate through the settings? Idk if you can uninstall it from the settings but I would try I haven't used android on my touchpad for awhile due to not having WiFi connection so my touchpad basically is a clock.

I am trying to install CM11 EMMC to my nook HD+ with stock rom on it. The instruction I followed is here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600572
1.Download the initial sdcard image
2.ungzip and write to sdcard using dd (winimage or whatever for those stuck on Windows)
3.Instert the card into your nook and reboot
4.Flash the recovery image
5.Flash cm11 image
6.Flash whatever other extra things you need like gapps
7.remove the sdcard
8.reboot the nook
I did wipe data and cache after step 3. I finished steps 4 and 5. However, flashing gapps in step 6 failed with information of error in gapps zip file [status 6]. The gapps is downloaded from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
I use the mini modular package. I am quite sure the gapps zip file is good since i have finished SD install with the gapps zip file. However, it failed in EMMC install. Now the nook can boot to CM11, but without any google stuff.
Any suggestion?
I'd suggest that you try a different, smaller size package (you can always add those apps not included later from the Playstore).
Also, if needed an alternate source for Gapss is http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps, use the "small" version.
Thanks for the suggestion. Other gapps on http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2397942 does not work. The gapps on the wiki page works, though it is for 4.4.2. I think the orginal thread on CM11 EMMC install should notice users on the possible problem.

I'm a total newbie to this but I think I have the same issue.... This is what I done and the results:
Used Win32imager onto 32gb Sandisk to write unpacked image of emmc-cwm-early3.1.img.gz then loaded onto card the following files:
cm-11-20141212-NIGHTLY-ovation.zip
cwm-recovery-ovation-6.zip
pa_gapps-stock-4.4.4-20141214-signed.zip
pa_gapps-modular-mini-4.4.4-20141214-signed.zip
Re-booted and did backup of stock and cleared/formatted internal card. Installed cwmrecovery images, and CM11 nightly. Tried installing to gapps stock and mini both came up with a Status 6 failed installation error .
Tried reverting to stock and couldn't recover due to error so re-installed CM and had same error. Copied off and removed restore apks to ensure enough space and tried again - still
status 6 error.
Checked to see whether script files has LF/CR but script file is dummy and the binary all seems to be in LF format. Running out of ideas as all of this is new to me.
So looks like i'm in same situation - HD+ which boots to CM but no stock googleapps.
I know it doesn't help but looks like same issue - any ideas?

Did you try using the Gapps packages from http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps? They are for CM11, the apps are a bit dated but after installation can be updated (via Google Playstore) to their most current version.

Deleted the pa_gapps-stock-4.4.4-20141214-signed.zip file.
Downloaded the two files from your link:
gapps-kk-20140606-signed.zip
gapps-kk-20140105-signed.zip
dropped both onto the card, re-booted and installed the larger 20140606 version which installed without any error messages. Removed card and re-booted - extra apps all look in place. Will now make sure they all run OK.
Thanks very much for your help - much appreciated. Can you tell me what the difference is in the installers that make the PA versions crash or is that too long winded?
Regards
