Hello There...Im new here in xda so I hope you can help me with my problem. I upgraded my i9000 last night through Kies and I got a pop up for available update of JM1 for my i9000.I follewed all the instructions, when my i9000 reboot, these things keeps on popping up on my screen every 2 sec, tw launcher has stopped unexpectedly and so many other applications. Before I started the update,my phone is on Ryanzas One Click Lag Fix, obviously I can't enter the home screen and no menu icons or anything seen in my device except for applications button which I cannot access either. I can do the 3 buttons recovery mode, but I dont know what to do next. How can I reset my phone to factory settings?? any help will be greatly appreciated.
BTW: I already tried wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition but no use. I still come up with same home screen and annoying pop up.
Help me please with this problem.
Can you please give me ways and steps on how to return my device to its factory settings, including the firmware. Thank you so much!
I'm sorry if this has been answered before, I searched but wasn't able to find anything.
It started when my phone suddenly didn't recognize the sd card. I took the card out and put it back in a couple of times, and reebooted the phone a couple of times. After that didn't work, I figured I would factory reset the phone, and as I did, it started to reboot, but was never able to boot back up.
When I now try to boot the phone, I get to the initial Samsung-S4 Active GT-I9295 -logo, and it says BOOTING RECOVERY in the top left corner, but after ~2 seconds it shuts off.
Interesting: It only boots a couple of seconds after I let go of the power button.
The phone was rooted using this guide: (not able to post links. The guide is on android geeks, and can be found by searching for Root Galaxy S4 Active (International I9295 and AT&T I337 models))
And Xposed was installed, but no modules were activated.
Firmware was 4.2.2 MF/MU 3 - something, I think. Sorry I cannot remember. I got it OTA some two weeks ago.
Any suggestions?
Thank you!
EDIT: When playing around with it, I managed to solve it. When booting, as soon as the logo appeared, I pressed and held the volume up + home button, which caused it to not shut down (?). It then preceeded to boot for a long time while, I guess, the phone was factory reesetting itself. Now it boots just fine, factory reset =D . (SD card still not detected )
My phone is stock rooted, I was trying to make a back up of the stock rom in TWRP. As soon as the backup began, my phone rebooted and now it won't get past the T-Mobile screen. Anyone have any ideas?

If I had your problem the first thing I would try is to
remove the battery, wait a minute then re-insert it
then power on the phone.
If that did not fix it, I would go into twrp recovery
and click on the "Wipe" button and do a factory
reset.
Good luck!

I've removed the battery for a few minutes but that didn't help. I didn't want to, but I guess I'm going to have to factory reset.
Having this same issue

I am having this same problem and tried to do a factory reset and it is still not working. Is there any other solution you can think of I am thinking of using Odin to flash the firmware since I am able to access the screen that allows you to do so. My only concern is that I would not be able to since I have my phone locked with samsung cloud. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm almost positive that if you flash firmware with Odin it unlocks the phone protection on it. So you can do that and get back into your phone.
Thanks for The response! So i tried that, but it failed and now when i turn on mu phone it says "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again"

It sounds very much like you are having the same sort of problem as I am with my wife's phone.
Here is my post:
Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini GT-I8190N - Stuck in bootloop
Unfortunately I have not yet been able to sort out the issue.
Best Regards.
That cause the hardware error, send to Samsung Service Center to restore stock software, and you have to pay for it.
Hi I hope you all will be fine.

Yesterday I updated to andriod pie. After updating I got all new look nd software but one thing note that the mid section of my screen didn't respond to touch. Along with that some times screen freez nd after ten seconds it come back to life. I have tried wipe cache and safe mode start but nothing help. I tried another method like backup data nd factory reset after that phone start working normal but after twelve hour phone of use and encounter the same issue now u can't do that every time to reset. Please advise a solution..
Does it happen if you boot in safe mode? If not there might be some app conflicting. If it is still occurring in safe mode then try factory reset but no data restore. If the issue comes back contact Samsung for repair.

Have you tried backing up only your messages, files and photos without the apps and system settings then factory reset? Do that and redownload all of your apps fresh from the playstore then redo all of your system settings all over again. That could help a lot.
