It would be good, if you could record the sound. It really would help in finding the cause of the problem.
Better tell us wich rom your device is running!

Hi All,
Since the past two days, whenever someone calls and I pick up the phone, the sound comes through the speaker, i.e. very high. I have to reduce that sound using the volume buttoms. This happens with only a few calls, not all. I have a screen protector on the phone, as usual.
I have restarted, reset, etc. to no success.
Can anyone suggest what the problem is?
Thanks
Are you using any sound mod?

I have done that yesterday as well. No luck. The problem still persists.
mine is like that as well. i can hear it even in the back of the phone... I checked clearsound and uncheck xloud and it got a little better but i still need to turn down the volume to people not listen to my conversation :x
when you state "speaker" you are referring to the speaker on the bottom right?
or do you mean the vibration through the back (near the camera area)?
edit: just did a test, it feels like its coming out from the speaker speaker but its not, the sound feels like its actually coming from the near back. I guess its not sealed tightly or just xperia z has really good loud earphone speaker.
No i was talking about the call speaker. Sry if i misunderstood

Re-update it. It seems the original file about speaker is loose during update.

This Is Not A Big Bug.....
Due To When Mobile Network Connected (Data,Networking,WIFI) And We Make Any Speaker Activity (Playing Game,Unlocking And Locking,Etc..),This Causes Some Radiation Sound....Because Our Moto G 2014 Has Two Powerful Front Facing Speakers...
This Is Normal Like This Example-When You Are Making A Call Or Making Data Connectivity In Front Of A T.V Or A Microphone,This Also Causes Some Radiation Sound As Same....
Thank You
