Just wanted to see if anyone has made the jump to ART from Dalvik and what their experiences are? Any bugs?
If there was a way to love my phone more this is it. After hacking my XT1058 and putting the T-Mobile kit Kat, flashing radios from Brasil for Rogers LTE band 7 compatibility (nailed 92mbits in speed test!) And now running ART I've doubled my battery life in the last couple of days.
Only bugs is candy crush force closes from time to time but some would argue that's not a bad thing.
Experiences? Thoughts? Bugs?

Title says it all...will we get any love soon? I see almost every other carriers (unlocked BL's and not) all have Roms and development going on except USC...I pretty much unlocked and rooted for no reason it seems. If anyone knows or has news please share as I am very disappointed in my findings...should have went with another carrier :banghead:

Omg another us cellular user, I thought I was alone, I would even settle for a stock modified rom. Have you tried Xposed and gravity box though, you can get most of the custom Rom features without having to flash all the time?

Am using MotoXposed at this very moment...I've tried the nightly pacman in OG Development to no avail. What's this gravity box you speak of? lol. Sounds interesting.

Another us cellular user.
US Cellular Moto X
So we got users...we need devs...I've been through plenty of unlocking and rooting of devices...just never got into creating ROMs myself...or porting...any of that. Just your normal flasher looking for a fix hahaha. Seems like this is a dry city though lol.

Go to rootzwiki. Dhacker29 has a 4.4 ROM for our moto x.

Have u read replies?

Yes. I tried it but haven't got the time to do any logcats and help him get it working.
US Cellular Moto X
Same issues with pacman ROM...activation issues. I am able to bypass by flashing ROM only then rebooting...turning on WiFi then reboot, flash gapps and reboot. I even try calling *228 and it always fails...wish I could help out myself as well. Don't understand...it DID however seem more stable the. Pacman...at least it had sound lol. Just won't activate...

Well I got PAC-ROM to work Flawlessly on My Moto X from USC (U.S. Cellular). Except there was no Active Notifications so I went back to stock. I use XPOSED and I've done other modifications but I think I went to far cuz it doesn't let me install Nova Luancher >..<
But I hope theirs Development or ROMS for this Device cuz the Verizon MOTO X had a pretty beast Features list like Beats AUDIO, Over clocking, and some other features. I forgot the rest >..< /.\
But Just cross fingers there'll be development for the USC Moto X! ^.^
Another USC user here as well. I've been using stock rooted and deodexed with xposed and am satisfied with that... but I am constantly looking for a better kernel (if you can find one much better than stock).
Anyhow, I'm in the process of learning to compile kernels from source and eventually ROMs. Initially for personal use but I might be convinced to release my work once it's all nice and perfect.
When is Sprint going to get the 4.4 update? I hope when Sprint get the update it won't have issues like the other carriers that got it already

Half the issues are people complaining as usual. No issues here. If you want zero bug free you will wait for an update forever.
And if these were real issues then the news will across all tech blogs.

The lag when unlocking from the active notifications is a real bug. The 'fix' that people are posting here only works for a little while.

Yeah that's a important issue that I don't like and I hope it doesn't have when Sprint gets it.

Glad to see the Sprint version get some love, just switched to Sprint last week, I'm getting 30mbits down and 20 up every where I go.

I have an XT1058 running the T-Mobile 4.4 software, in also rooted and running Greenify. I've also flashed radios from Brazil retail to be compatible with band 7 on Rogers.
Lately no matter how loud I yell OK Google now it doesn't activate, not even with the phone right in front of my face. Only when the phone is on it'll work but the phone has to be right in front of my face.
How do I fix it? Anyone else having the same issue?

Have you tried retraining your Moto X in a quiet room? I find that that helps a ton when mine gets buggy.

In the official capacity we are now last. Right on schedule VZW.
I bet just to troll us, they announce it tomorrow but the release will be at the end of the month
Not sure why everyone is all fired up about it. Not like 4.4 is much different than 4.2
They didn't even give us art.

Such as? Maybe I'm ignorant and the signs are right in front of me, but I haven't seen anything that makes me excited to receive it.
I'm aware once the radio sources are dropped and they are put to work a bit then the sod and random reboot issues should be taken care of, but that's about all I've seen being said.

Have you ran the "leaked" VZW KK build?
Kitkat is a whole different world,Completely Night and Day. Amazingly smooth, its lightening fast and extremely stable.
Art or not, this is a legitimate huge performance step forward.

Nah, I haven't played around with it yet. Honestly Ive never had any issues with the stock speed. Once animations are turned off.
Guess its one of those gotta try it to understand it thing. Coming from my last phone being the first gen droid RAZR, I've never sat back and wished my g2 had more speed.

its alot nicer for animations, snappier, the whole kitkat look to the notification bar, fine tuning under the hood, tap and pay, cloud printing. give it a go
We probably won't see an update till after the g3 and s5 are released.

I suspected qtr1 was out of the picture when the drop date of the m8 was announced. Vzw doesn't like to have anything current impede the new baby.

Yeah I said that on another site and someone said updates don't affect phone sales... when the average consumer doesn't know of updates and Verizon and OEMs market "latest android software" many people will want it.

It's so......awesome that the phone that was never displayed in a store gets the latest update. How can anyone want the g3 when LG cares little to get phones updated.
Htc obviously did something to convince VZW to update their stuff yet the g flex is rocking 4.2.2 and the same with ours.

I don't think it's LG in this instance. I think it's Verizon, and I think it has more to do with the m8 launch than it does with whether or not the update is ready. They don't like to have anything mess with the new revenue stream.

Agreed... Think about it: would the company make more money by keeping everyone's android system slick and up-to-date, or by enticing those with outdated devices to pine over the newest phone, with the NEWEST OS? Having worked customer service for a VZW contractor in the past, I personally know that making their customers happy (with no direct profit) is at the bottom of their list.

Bluetooth LTE will be nice to have. I've been waiting for it so I can connect to my Garmin watch and do live tracking. I need at least Android 4.3 to do this. (which VZW skipped )
I can't believe Verizon still hasn't pushed 4.4 update,this is ridiculous :banghead:

I've given up hope. Its the usual state of mind one arrives at when dealing with VZW. You go though denial, anger and rage (quite a lot of rage) before reaching acceptance

You are not far off the mark. It is also possible that they are not going to update the phone to 4.4.2. Just because LG stated they would be for all variants does not mean Verizon will do it. I came from an LG revolution which at point LG said would get ICS, needless to say that phone is still only running 2.3.6. We guessed that VZW cancelled the update. LG support stated that it was working on a upgrade and that it was in testing and then nothing...
I hope I am not reliving things again. If I am, at least the base phone and stock OS are really good.

I don't think so because there's already a stock leak build that works 100 percent. I think they're just waiting and they're gonna merge the knock code in and release it as one build rather than releasing 2 separate ones

I've seen similar posts to this, but none with any kind of solid answer so far. I have a chance to get a XT1095 for pretty cheap tomorrow and would like a clear answer to the question of it not only working on Cricket and also get LTE? If not will it work on HSPA? Thx in advance, I'm kind of confused by all this and would love to hear from somebody that has or had this particular model on Cricket. I'm coming from a Nexus 5 which was just plug n play with my Cricket SIM so that's what has me a bit lost here.
You shouldn't have any problems with it. I see they have a GSM sim. As long as that's the one you have you should get LTE.

Yeah the guy had it on T-Mobile so its definitely GSM compatible. I'm mostly just wondering about getting the LTE/data to work. I saw an article online that said the XT1095 had less bands than the other variants. Either way thanks for replying so quickly!
I also read though that Motorola was planning on adding the missing bands via update but can't find if that update was already pushed or not.
The band issue was with kit kat it has been updated with 5.0 and 5.1. You should get LTE and if you don't it will probably be because you have to set up the APN yourself which is easy.
Sent from my XT1095 using Tapatalk
Now that's exactly what I was wanting to know, TY! I'm very familiar with how to change APN's so it looks like I'm good to go!
I'm using my XT 1095 on cricket and I'm very pleased. It is LTE compatible but be advised to use the APN settings on cricket website. As long as you are aware of crickets speed limitations, you will be pleased.
