stock kernal - Xperia SP Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi

I don´t think you can flash a firmware at all using CWM.. the file doesn´t have a .ftf extension for nothing

I agree with nanostray.
I think there is no way of flashing a kernel with CWM.
CWM supports .zip files but it can't support .ftf files.

I see. Thank all for correcting me. Could you please give me the download link for stock kernal .ftf

Thank you for the link. Just to make sure, if we flash the stock file via flashtool, the custom rom and the custom kernal will be revert back to original(stock)? I want to know since now I'm using custom ROM and custom kernal. I'm noob since that modification were done by my cousin.

If you want just to revert back to full stock you could also try repairing your phone with SEUS

I also found this thread.
It gives all (I am not sure if all) the stock firmwares for Xperia SP.

Be careful with the offline-charging bug. Kernels on the collection page tend to have this bug. I use the .ftf from a repair with SEUS and my offline charging is working correctly

Tried that and it didn't work. "Global" didn't work either.
Maybe because I'm on V10F PORTUGAL, but I'm downloading the KDZ.
No, didn't install the update cause i'm going on vacation tomorrow. Too risky having a buggy phone and no time this evening for installing and configuring 100 apps. Sorry.
Awesome, will check it out.
Installed now i only need to root it... what might be the best way?
DO u think the v10c way might work?
Tell me - why they release 2.3.4 instead of 2.3.5 ? Don't get it. Anyway thank you.
Is it just me or does it look exactly like 2.2.2?...
Oh ur right... Strange thing
It might be smoother ill give it that.. But seriously.. everything looks the same

Actually you don't need to if you have an unlocked bootloader. The kernel is also backed up in the Nand backup.
If you have a locked bootloader, your recovery won't be able to restore the backup so you have to flash it.

i was just about to say the same as pec0ra no need to flash

You can try the kernel made by @doesntexits maybe that works for g531f its for gt31h but i guess it will work but make sureu make a full backup and have oem unlock ticked in developer mode as if this isnt ticked your phone qont boot even if the kernel worksfor your phone and i take no responsibility for any loss try at your own risk

No only backup of system and boot img but if u i repeat check if oem unlock is checked. Btw backup of boot is enough but its better and safer if u have a backup of system too and flash the v2.3 of the kernel as the cpu is overclocked to 1400 mhz
