So I pretty much eff'd up my bionic by formatting internal storage in Safestrap and now every time it boot it says Encryption Unsuccessful and to reset phone, and I did but same thing happens. Any help??
Check out SamuraiHL's House of Moto here to FXZ, that should solve your problem.

So I am at a loss.
While attempting to Enable Safe Mode into Eclipse v2.1 I encountered an "error restoring /data" in SafeStrap. Rebooted and when the unsafe (Stock 901) ROM booted the result was a factory data reset/Google activation screen.
I tried enabling Safe again and received the same error, was able to Quick Toggle into Safe but Eclipse boot looped.
WTF Happened?
It probably says "not enough memory, backup probably wont be completed" or something like that. Had the same problem this morning. Free up some space on your INTERNAL SD card
Quick toggle is Dangerous
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using xda premium
Thanks. I actually have 5+GB available on EMMC and 8+ on the Ext SD so I don't think it was a memory issue.
As for quick toggle it is indeed dangerous but so far as I could see the only way to get back into safe system in order to format /system and reflash. Was there a safer alternative?
I have a Galaxy S GT i9000 and I managed to install CWM Recovery 2.5.1.0 on it after I accidentally selected backup (to internal sd)..
I want to get the data off the internal SD but miui won't boot. I have EXT4 filesystem.
if I try boot it never gets past samsung logo.
I havn't been able to use my phone for a month now because of this problem.
I didn't want to try fix it straight away when it broke incase I did something to lose all my data..
I was getting major FC's on everything i opened, it wasn't bad at first, but than FC's came more and more regularly, until I can't open any apps.
than the phone would boot loop after boot animation. now after trying to backup the internal SD, I accidentally backed up to internal SD. phone won't boot.
this happened at my god father's funeral "after meeting". I was using phone and suddenly it doesn't work.
I recorded very important video from god father's funeral i promised to make video for god fathers wife.
I really need my data and at least want to be able to mount ext4 from CWM recovery to copy data to windows. or somehow reinstall MIUI without wiping /data.
I thank you in advanced for your help.
I looked for a month and couldn't find anything.
There are 2 things I can think of,
1. Use ADB to pull from sd card, I'm not sure if you need to be in recovery or download mode, check it out.
2. When you format you phone you don't delete your sd card so it should all be saved. You will loose all you apps etc but not your data.
If you want to save the exact format you phone is in, try flash the rom again. If its through odin then you will factory reset. (Again you wont loose your internal sd card contents).
I've managed to get my data back now thank you for the suggestions
Hi, my brother gave me a used Droid Bionic which I successfully rooted and installed a custom recovery on (Liquidsmooth to be exact) using Safestrap recovery 3.11 but kept my stock rom in a slot.
So basically I now got a problem. I thought I'd try CM11 from the Cyanogenmod website (snaphot) when I created a new slot rom and try to install, I got an error. It was a failed process.
I thought I'd try again so I wiped everything Factory reset, data, cache...etc still failed..
Then I uninstall safestrap recovery using the stock rom and saw that I can use CWM like my other phone Samsung fascinate in rootzwiki. I followed this thread called [Guide] How to install ClockworkMod Recovery from adroidman
but before I installed the bionic boot strap, I made a huge mistake I formatted The internal 8 gb storage then I rebooted to see if that caused any problems and it did basically..
I deleted the /data and /sdcard because I formatted the internal storage and every time I reboot, I get a Encryption Unsuccessful message and it tells me to reset phone. I did but same message. Am I screwed?? I know I still have my stock rom in there but can't access it. Also every time I connect my phone I no longer see the internal storage instead my 32 gb sd card.
I wanted to update my sister's Nook HD+ to CM11. I don't have an SD card big enough to do a nandroid backup, so I tried to back up to the internal SD card. It was working fine, then it said "backup of /data failed". I thought this was because the internal SD card ran out of space. When I tried to reboot, it found that it's stuck in a bootloop. It goes to the nook screen, then the Cyanoboot screen, then starts loading Cyanogenmod like normal. The boot animation plays then freezes, and the device reboots. I've tried clearing the cache and dalvik cache and it gets a little farther, but it's still in a bootloop. Please help! I would like to avoid doing a factory reset if at all possible.
If internal space was maxed out, would a factory reset even work any better?
If only booting is corrupted, you should just be able to simply dirty flash the same rom build or newer to fix without losing anything.
I don't know where nandroid backups are made internally but if they are accessible via usb on a pc, then you could just delete those files. If it is indeed full storage. And then dirty flash the build again if needed.
There's probably some other ways to go as well.
Hey guys,
I recently updated my rooted XT1053 Moto X to 5.1 and rerooted again. After a couple days, I've been getting "storage space running out" message and I know this isn't the case because I have 6gb of free space left on my Moto X. I read on the forums that formatting the dalvik and cache partitions would fix this. I have TWRP 2.8.6.0 recovery installed and I went ahead with formatting the partitions. However, after wiping those partitions and rebooting my phone, I would encounter a bootloop. I would then turn off my phone and go back into recovery and saw this option for fixing the cache partition. After choosing that option, my phone would reboot and the "Android apps optimizing" screen would come up and optimize the apps really fast and I would get the storage space error message again.
What should I do in this case to fix this storage space running out problem? I do happen to have had made a backup of when I first installed 5.1 but I really don't want to do that, but if I have to I will.
