[Q] Problems with mounting SD-Card - Samsung Galaxy Mini

Hello people,
I have a problem with my external sd card and my internal usb storage (the 1.2GB one)
The apps on my phone say it isnt mounted, and when i go into recovery mode and i mount sdcard1, the apps still can't find it (i think it gets unmounted). I really need to fix this because my music is on the sdcard.
My phone:
Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 GT-S6500D
CyanogenMod 11
CWM 6.0.4.5
External SD-Card: 32GB MicroSDHC Class 4
CWM can acces the external storage but not the internal

Thanks for the tip, but i already found a (kind of) solution.
I now use a modification of cm11 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2593427) where the external sd card gets mounted in place of the internal and everything works fine now. And i need 4.4 because for the things i use it, gingerbread is pretty slow, but it works with much less lagg on 4.4

[Q] How to copy installed Apps to External SD in ICS (Or Gingerbread if have to)

Hi there, I know that theres a lot of posts on this forum regarding this issue but i didn't find comprehensive answer to how to move Apps to an External SD card on the G Note.
I'm not an expert with Android as I am in the transition from the iPhone, but I'm not too much of a noob as I have a bit of knowledge due to hacking and jailbreaking with the iPhone.
Now here is my problem. I have a lot of Apps that are hogging my storage and I have come to a point where I cannot install anymore Apps. When I try to copy it to the external SD card (16gb Class 10), it is actually copying it to the internal SD card. I have tried all those Apps like App2SD and I still haven't had any luck. I even tried all the tutorials on this site and still no luck.
I know there are easy methods with Froyo, but I don't want to downgrade as I am currently on "ICS(4.0.4) Stunner Beta 5.0" and it runs like a dream on the Note! If worse case scenario that I have to downgrade to achieve this, the lowest I will go back to is a factory rooted Gingerbread.
Even when I was on factory rooted Gingerbread I still had this same problem before the upgrade.
Right now the only way is to edit vold.fstab file but that will cause bigger issues with ICS and Stunner in particular
Your best hope is wait for a new version of Stunner where the internal sd card is mounted @ /mnt/emmc and the external sd card is mounted @ /mnt/sdcard and that should solve your issues completely
I read Neo talking about it and I think he will implement this structure in the next release
Thanks for the quick reply! Thats great news.. If i have to wait for a Stunner update, is there another ICS or Gingerbread release or tweak that could fix this?

I have micromax funbook with ICS 4.0.3..in my tablet internal sd card is mounted @ /mnt/sdcard and the external sd card is mounted @ /mnt/extsd - Even I need a solution as most HD games are huge and its usable internal memory is only around 2gb.
In my friends Samsung Galaxy S external sd card was mounted as "sd card" and we were able to move installed apps to 16gb memory card need this fix.

Try searching re-partitioning your internal memory. It increases your current 2 GB Max internal memory to 4-6-8-10 GB by reducing your internal sd card. This way you can install many apps without having to move it here n there. thread is by @metalgearhathaway.
A problem
Actually, i modified the vold.fstab file and partially bricked my tablet. It gets stuck on the booting logo and recovery console seems to be useless because the wipe data/factory reset option doesn't work. It's an A23 based 7 inch tablet for which i'm unable to find a ROM to flash it with. Any help would be appreciated. Or is there any way to re-modify the vold.fstab file to the old state? Or to reset the ROM?

[Q] External Storage not detected on.

Hello Everyone. I'm in need of help here. I have been searching the forum for 5hours to solve my problem, sadly, none has worked.
I can see my external storage on setting>storage but somehow I cannot access it using file explorer. The external_sd directory are visible using ES file explorer but sadly, I cannot move file into it. I had formatted it into ntfs but failed, then back to fat32 but both are not working. When connected to PC via USB cable the PC cannot detect the SD card. The card are working well in my other phone.
My device: Galaxy Note N7000
Rom: [ROM][AOSP][JB][4.1.2][JZO54K] SuperNexus - N7000 - BUILD 5 [17-10-12]
Kernel: MaxFu HydraCore v7.5 STD
Sorry for my bad english.
check in /storage/sdcard0 for internal SD. format this using the settings on the phone itself and check. try mounting the phone as mass storage mode

I cannot mount it as the option to mount it been 'greyed out'..btw, i have no problem with internal SD card. only with external SD card. Thank you.
Do a nandroid backup of the current rom and try installing an ICS rom and check if the external sd is ok. Many JB has issues with external SD if not flas d correctly.
If ok on ics. Do a clean install if the rom again and then you can restore your data later

Thanks man. It works. But it seems that the card transfer rate are a bit slow. is it have something to do with rom or kernel?
In mtp mode, it could be slow. Try in mass storage mode.
If you still want Jelly Bean, you may try SVA rom, mass storage works fine on both internal and external SD card.:good:

Not able to use Internal Memory in CM7 (Its not in emmc either)

Hello guys, I have installed CM 7.2 (stable version) (a couple of times now -_-) the bad thing is that it will not read my internal memory card and the data on it.
When I mount via cwm, it shows both my internal card and the external sd card.
I have tried going to the emmc folder, it is empty when I use file manager of cm7. But when I go to emmc via cwm, there are all the files which are in my internal card.
sorry for bad english, please help

[Q] I9000 Internal SD unmounts when using JB ROMs

Hi, I'm having this issue with my I9000.
Any JB with different kernels makes the internal SD eventually be unmounted in my I9000.
When install a JB ROM the phone works very well but suddenly, the internal SD (phone's SD) is always unmounted with every reboot.
In CWM both SD are mounted and read without any problem. With ICS ROMs the phone works flawlessly.
In my case, the external SD is functioning as expected.(I have a 32 GB micro sd)
The installation language is Spahish - Spain.
No matter which method of cleaning and wiping I use, the result is the same.
Also, starting from GB stock firmware (JVU) flashed with Odin, followed by installing the nightly Cianogen CM10.1 and finally flashing the desired JB ROM works.
I tested Helly Bean, Slim Bean, C-ROM Mix and Baked Blacjbean7 obtaining the same behaviour.
USB Mounting does not "see" the internal SD. After many tries connecting and disconnecting of the PC, the internal SD is eventually mounted.
If I start the phone in "safe mode" (long pressing in menu reboot option), the internal SD is mounting.
Important: I'm restoring around 54 apk using Titanium backup (games, applications and utilities) in every case. I did not tested the ROMs without these restorations. ¿Could be an applications that is causing this issue?
I read some post with very similar situations but without any response.
¿Any idea on what is going on or a recommendation?
Thanks for helping and answering.
Being more precise, the internal storage that is not recognized is the USB storage, not the Internal Storage. Remember that the Galaxy S 8 Gb of internal SD is divided into Internal Storage and USB storage.
A quick way to test if your phone is reading USB storage is using any File Manager to see if SDCARD is opening.
AW: [Q] I9000 Internal SD unmounts when using JB ROMs
Can you please open /storage/sdcard0/ and tell if you have the same issues there? Because it could be a symlink problem.

Found something.
I have a 32 Gb external micro SD. If I turn on the phone without the micro SD in place, the USB storage mount OK.
I think that the JB ROMs o perhaps JB Kernels around cannot handle BIGs micro SD ¿a bug?, maybe.
I never have had problems with my micro SD even more, ICS ROMs flash and work OK with it installed.
Has someone a 32 Gb uSD to test?
Phone with 4Gb uSD works without problems.
32 Gb uSD is perfectly identified by a PC and no error is detected.
Phone with 32 Gb uSD shows the problem again....
Ok. The problem was a corrupted clockworkmod folder/files con the external SD. Reformating the SD solve the problem.
Thanks for your help.
Best Regards.

[Q] Cannot find internal SD Card after installing CM11 on Xperia SP?

Hi,
I was using one of the nightly of CM11 and recently i updated my rom to 11-20141102-UNOFFICIAL-lbhuashan, its really good works fine, and i felt its much faster than stock rom and the nightly. Well after installing this my recovery got updated to 6.0.5.1 and PhilZ Touch 6.59.0(CWM 6.0.5.1 - PhilZ Touch 6.59.0).
But the issue came up is, i can't see my Internal SD Card, if im inserting external SD Card, its getting mounted into SDCard0.
It was like SDCard0 as internal memory and SDCard1 as External memory.
Is there anyway to mount the Internal SDCard as SDCard0 like it was before?
I dont want to change the rom because its really working fine for me.
I dont have any issue to format again if that will get worked, but i couldn't see its working..

This is not a bug its a feature to enable USB mode for PC connections. The space from internal SD has been merged into data partition.

Oh is it so?!! Its ok but some app files are getting installed to EXT SD Card, like com.android.browser, com.andrew.apollo etc.
Isn't it possible to move to the Internal SDCard itlself? May i know the benefit of merging this internal memory to data partition.
I felt like its using 8GB for the rom and apks etc and still using the external card too.
First i thought it might be used for swap area or zram, so i installed this rom by removing the external card but still..!!
Is there anyway to move the android, baidu, data etc folder to the internal memory??

No because internal memory doesnt exist. Data partition is for app installs the folders you are referring to arent the apps themselves just user files that get created on install. It actually works well for me so far so i dont mind the change but i can understand why others wouldnt.
Try MrSteves final CM11 weeklies release as this has normal file structure.
now using cm12.1 happily
