[APP] RogueTools v1.1 - [Overclock & Change Screen Density] - [Updated: 04/27/2010]
I now present you with RogueTools v1.1.
Summary:
This application is designed for the Vogue, Kaiser, Polaris and Nike devices. It allows you to dynamically overclock your device as well as change the screen density.
Requirements:
This application requires write access to your /system so this will only work on EXT2 and NAND installations.
Overclocking Notes:
Overclocking results will vary. Based upon the beta test results everyone was able to Overclock to 500mhz and have very stable results. Above this results really were mixed. Give it a try, I'd love to hear your results.
To download, search in the market for "RogueTools"

Nope 4.0.4 hasn't been pushed to aosp yet

Thank you man! The ROM is great. Keep up the awesome work . o believe this ROM is* the latest CM9 (2.1). May I suggest returning the SMS icon back to normal. I am partial to the green messages app icon over the blue. Also for the notification toggles maybe you could offer the AOKP style toggles. The ones where you tap the settings icon in the notification bar to make them appear/disappear. Or at least some function to make the current ones appear and disappear on tap. The folders need to be able to hold more than 16 apps. And eventually more functionality for the quad lock screen. We should be able to choose between the apps shown, and be able to switch between stock and quad (The way you have quad right now is how I** like it but I imagine other users want more customization). Besides that just update your ROM with the CM9 when they release new updates and this will be perfect. I am getting amazing speeds and battery life as is. Thank you again . Its freaking amazing!!! The only time I'm changing this ROM is to your next version
One glitch I'm reporting though. At the lockscreen my carrier is covered up. It was never like this before as you can see the slide covers it.

Here we go, I've tested the rom for some days and I've some suggestions:
-add a dialer with prediction (like cm7), the one from cm7 should work
-change the color of the statusbar toggles, when a button is not enabled it's not easy to recognize it
-you can add agps patch to get a faster gps lock
-I can't use solid explorer, it says that the beta is expired
Apart from that few things it's an excellent rom, very fast and stable and with a nice ui
And the changelog of beta 3 looks really promising!
If I find something else that can be improved I will report to you

Those who think 27 Mhz is useless and does nothing... Yeah the apps need min of 384 Mhz but when cell is ideal it can save a lot of battery..
here is a formula for Consumption (Got it from ak's Thread Thanks to him):-
A: The formula for power consumption is: P = f * c * V ^ 2
Where: P = power consumption, f = frequency, c = capacitance and V = voltage
So: since c is constant in this case, and we'll assume you've used the lowest UV possible (600mV)
At 304mhz: P = 304 * c * 600 ^ 2
At 192mhz: P = 192 * c * 600 ^ 2
This means that 304mhz uses approximately 1.58 times more power than 192mhz over the same time.

Strange not got any of these issues......not the kernel issue...
Must be a ROM issue...try reflashing.....n this kernel is for aosproms only..
Has any1 else got this problem...
I've got another problem actually. Can't flash the new kernel at all, completely stuck in a bootloop. I tried a clean flash, I'm on PSX's new rom, it's really close to stock.

That's not from Trickster. It shows options available in the kernel you have installed. Your kernel supports color control, that's why you see it. If you install a kernel that doesn't support color, the options won't be there.
Yah I'm aware of that @RoyJ im saying no other kernel OFFERS the control And this kernel does.

What kernel? You blacked it out. You also mentioned "through trickster now" which makes it sound like an update from the apps end, so I'm sure you understand the confusion...

Clearly says Linaro Kernel.
I don't know how many kernel developers use the Linaro toolchain to build their kernels.
Guess there's only one then. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Edit: I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure where it says Linaro is showing the toolchain the kernel was compiled with. The name of the kernel is blacked out. For example in my trickster with my kernel, the name of the kernel is where his is blacked out and where his says Linaro mine says Crosstool.

Linaro GCC 4.7 is the toolchain used to build the kernel silly, not the kernel name. And color control is available on many kernels, not just one.
Thanks Simms, you get it lol.

Ah. Okay. I saw this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2527130 sometime back and didn't knew twas a toolchain myself. I'm using franco kernel myself so ofc i know color control is available in many kernels.
Franco does Gamma control. Not Gamma+RGB Control like this one.

So what exactly is this thread for then, Drag? A teaser for a super secret kernel you don't want to tell anyone about, besides showing it off? I'm not really getting this.
Why black out the name of the kernel, then avoid my question asking what it is? Just feel like keeping it to yourself? :thumbdown:Honestly I don't understand this thread. Help me understand...:what:

just lol, thats all.
So it is a teaser thread. Gotchya. Well looks pretty cool, looking forward to it I suppose. I'd like the ability to change my colors myself.
Is it your kernel? Are you the developer? Just curious. The thought of a new kernel gets me all warm and tingly inside.

elaborate seriously I have just gotten into this stuff couple of months back and I'm really interested in learning about this.
So this is still a mystery. Color control will be very useful to me.

1st release is out. Furnace Kernel.

Why are people so damn snooty on these tech forums? We're all nerds here, or at least attempting to be, yet every thread where I'm actually looking for help, it turns into a pocket protector contest. Being humble is attractive. Just some advice from someone who knows nothing. ?
