I've installed the BMP driver and put my phone in serial mode however the driver gets installed. All of the other drivers install fine.
1. Open Device Manager from the control panel.
2. Put your phone into serial mode so that the computer tries to load the HTC Modem Drivers.
3. Right click on HTC Modem and select properties
4. Click the "Update Driver" button
5. Select "Browse my computer for driver software" option
6. Select "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer" (VERY IMPORTANT, Don't use the browse button here)
7. Select "Show All Devices" from the list and click "Next"
8. Select "Have Disk" Button
9. Now click "Browse" Button and browse to were you extracted the above files....and find the HtcUsbMdmV64.inf file.
10. Select it and select Open.
11. Click OK.
12. In the window you should see HTC USB Modem, Select it and click "Next"
13. Select "Yes" should you get a popup
This does not work.

From personal experience, I found out that in windows vista and 7, you can't flash HardSPL and dead device. So I put this together from the dead trinityguides.info and other post in this forum. So follow this to the letter.
1a. If your p3600i is stuck in the HTC screen, put it in boot loader and plug it in.
1b. If its stuck in boot loader, just plug it in.
2. You need to download and extract the Windows Xp drivers to a memorable location (e.g. the desktop). You can download them here:
* Vista x32 drivers
* Vista x64 drivers
the 64-bit drivers are unsigned, so if you are using Vista x64 go to the bottom of this post to disable driver signing and then follow the rest of this guide
Run 'Windows Mobile Device Center', and click 'Connection Settings'.
Uncheck the 'Allow USB Connections' box, and select 'OK'.
Run 'Services' by opening the start menu and typing 'Services'
ensure the 'Windows Mobile-based connectivity' and Windows Mobile 2003-based connectivity' services are started. If they are not, click the service name and press the 'start' button on the top bar.
Image
Load 'Device Manager' by opening the Start menu and typing 'Device Manager'.
Expand the 'Mobile devices' section and right click the 'HTC USB Sync'
Select 'Update Driver Software'.
Click 'Browse my computer for driver software'.
Click 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'.
Click 'Have Disk' or "Browse".
Click 'Browse', and browse to the location where you extracted the ZIP file in the first step.
Vista x32 users double click 'wceusbsh.inf', Vista x64 users double click 'wceusbshx64.inf'
Select 'HTC USB Sync' from the list, and click 'Next'.
Wait while your driver is installed.
Run 'Task Manager' by clicking the Start Orb and typing 'taskmgr'. Then find the 'WMDC.EXE' item in the processes section, and click 'End Process'.
In 'Windows Mobile Device Center, re-enable the 'Allow USB connections' .
3a.If your device is bricked, download stock rom from htc.com NOT FROM A MIRROR IN RAPIDSHARE/MEDIAFIRE/4SHARED/MEGAUPLOAD etc... and flash it with no compatibility mode.
3b.To HardSPL: Run RUU and flash normally, but when you get to the JumpSPL bootloader, it will erroe 260. LOOK AT THE SCREEN ON YOUR PHONE, YOU MIGHT HAVE SECURITY PERMISSIONS AND NEED TO MANUALLY ALLOW THE PROGRAMS TO RUN.
KEEP YOUR PHONE ON THE BOOTLOADER SCREEN[/B][/B][/B], and unplug it from your computer. Exit the HardSPL program, RUN IT AGAIN, PLUG THE PHONE BACK IN, wait for HTC USB Sync to install and FLASH THE PHONE AGAIN WITH HARDSPL.
To install driver in vista/7 x64
1. Start -> type gpedit.msc right click in the result gpedit.msc and select run as administrator. Select yes in the UAC prompt if you keep it enabled.
2. Navigate to User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Driver Installation.
3. Enable the "Code signing for drivers" and then choose "Ignore".
4. Close gpedit.msc.
Hope this guide help you out there.
Hi!
I had quite alot of trouble finding a way to sideload Android 4.2 to my Nexus 7 using Windows 8. It seems as if alot of folks have trouble with this! I tried many guides, with no luck. I tried my own way, and this worked for me!
So here is my guide!
1. Download ASUS USB Driver here: asus dot com / Tablet / Nexus / Nexus_7 / #download (Select OS: Other. Then select USB. Download Zip.)
2. Extract Zip to a folder you easily can find. You need this in step 7.
3. Reboot to bootloader. (Power down. Power up while holding VolDn. Click VolUp twice. Press Pwr. Enter bootloader.)
4. Enter Device Manager. (Press WinButton+Q. Select programs. Type Device Manager.)
5. In that list, if your Nexus doesn't work with ADB, it show a "Nexus" with a yellow sign on it. If not, unplug your device and plug it in again.
6. Double click the "Nexus". Select the Driver Tab. Select update driver. Select "Browse my computer for driver"
7. Select "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".
8. Select "Have disk"
9. Browse to folder where you extracted drivers from ASUS. Select "android_winusb" Click next. It should say something about compatability. Click yes.
10. Select "Android Bootloader Interface". Install.
11. All done!
Try sideloading your update, or do whatever you like. ADB should work now.
Please reply if this works for you, or if it doesn't.
Did anyone get this to work? I'm very curious.. =)

Thanks for this , I had days of faffing around with win 8 in the end it started working no idea why, still get Fastboot errors sometimes. Going to give these a try and see if it solves the fastboot issue as well.

When i try this, it wont install the driver. Well it does, but then when i type in ##serial# it searches for the driver and cant find it. Then i manually point it to the driver and it says "no drivers found for this device"

Change PRLs (preferred roaming list), access other radio settings, place the device on another carrier, backup radio settings (IMEI), etc.
Some may be able to call Sprint and get it, but you most likely won't be able to if you're not a customer of theirs . Even if you are... Some just don't like calling.

This absolutely wouldn't work on my desktop PC.
Windows 7 64-bit
Did the EXACT same thing on my laptop, also a Win7 64-bit system and it went off without a hitch.
Silly computer boxes and their finicky nature.
I am using Win7 64 too.
It works for me.
Please note the location of the driver (inf file).

Don't you love technology?
All things aside, it turned out that all the drivers I needed were already installed from rooting the One, so this was a big help. Thanks much!
How do you put your phone in serial mode?
For those who are facing problem with installing driver in windows 8.1 here is the steps you need to follow:
1) you need to go to advance startup option, i am posting for windows 8.1 search how to go to advance startup option for windows 8 in google
a) Press win+ i on the bottom right you will find "change pc settings"
b) click it and choose update and recovery -> recovery -> Advance startup -> Restart now
2) Then in "change pc setting" menu choose Troubleshoot-> Advanced Options ->startup settings-> Restart
3) After restart you will find "startup settings" menu press "7" for "Disable driver signature enforcement" and wait until you pc get restarted.
4) To install drivers go to driver folder in folder most probably you will find it in "C:\Flashtool\drivers" or your flashtool installation location.
5) Double click on flashtools-drivers.exe, in installation menu press next, you will find "select components to installs" menu check flashmode drivers and fastboot drivers click install.
6) You will get some warnings choose install anyway.
You have to follow these six steps if you want to use flashtool on windows 8 or 8.1.
Bit pointless to share because searching "Flashtool windows 8/8.1" gave me these links:

Inspired by this post, i've set on a quest to get USB tethering working on my HTC one (M8) Windows Phone.
The steps are very simmilar, so I will modify the original post, with specifics to the HTC One Device:
1) First, you need the Diagnosis app for HTC phones. This is included, but hidden, on each phone. To access it, type ##634# (##MFG#) into the phone dialer.
There, in "EmbeddedTool" select Diag function, and enable "Diag mode"
Your phone will imidiatly reboot, that is normal
2) When the phone boots up again you should plug it into your PC, if you haven't done so already.
It will not appear in Windows Explorer or the Windows Phone app. You'll get a "Found new hardware" notification, but the odds are that the drivers will fail to install automatically. We'll need to install them manually.
3) To do that, first download the attached ZIP file included with this post. Extract its contents somewhere handy.
Next, open Device Manager. This can be done from the Start menu/screen, or by opening Computer Management. into It will require Administrator permissions.
4) You should see four new"USB device" entries that don't have drivers. We only need one of them (typically first one). with the hardware id "VID_0BB4&PID_0BFF&MI_00"
5) Double-click one of those entries, or right-click on it, and select Update Driver.
6) in the driver dialog select "Browse my computer for driver software" and then select the folder where you have extracted the attahced driver
7) Once driver is installed one of the devices will be identified as "HTC USB Modem"
8) Open it's properties and in the Advanced tab, set the "Extra initialization command:
+cgdcont=1,"ip","APN"
Where APN is the APN from your carrier.
For me it was "vzwinternet", so the command that I used was:
+cgdcont=1,"ip","vzwinternet"
9) after this is done you will able to create a Dial-up connection
via "Internet options-> Connections-> Add
in the next dialog: Select Dial-up
for the "Dial-up phone number" use *99# and leave the password and username blank.
10) once connection is setup, disable the IP-V6 from its properties. and you should be able to connect.
11) Don't forget to disable the "Data Connection" on your phone
Enjoy
PS
Although drivers did work on my machine, I suggest being extra cautious before using them, so create restore point, and run an anti-virus scan, as I found that driver by Googling the hardware ID of the 4 unrecognized devices.
