Hi! I'm on 4.3 (because I want the upwards dismissal from notification center) and on Beanstalk on my note 2. Sometimes I leave my phone connected to the pebble overnight because I have alarms set, but somehow over a 6hour night's rest, I get like an hour of awake time, with 30 min of it being BTLowPower.
Is this wake lock something quite significant? Cuz somehow it's making my battery drain like 2% per hour :/

I noticed after updating to the OTA AT&T ICS upgrade my battery is acting weird... I have the battery widget from HTC hub on my homescreen. As soon as my battery gets down to around 25% it will jump down to 14% every time. Like ill be on it scroll homescreens to find the widget and look at it and it will say 27-25% remaining and then ill put it in my pocket and around 5 min later it will ding and pull up the power saving mode and say 14% remaining!!! Now I don't think im loosing battery because it will stay on 14% for around 15 min and then will drop down to 13% but i just want to know why this is happening?!? Any one else?
Had the same problem, went to wild Childs ROM, solved the issue.

I think it's a good idea to remove /data/system/batterystat.bin after fully charge your battery.
I have changed my firmware from 10F to 10H as I heard that it is much better. I rooted it and then reset it to factory settings and I deleted some of the bloatware. I used LG gearbox and set the CPU speed to 1000mhz on two cores and used this guide. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2048315
In additions, I installed fast dormancy toggle from here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2021248
I charged my battery full to 100% and then unplugged it left it unattended while I went to sleep, wifi and auto sync was switched on and gps, location . My screen display is set to automatic. After 10hours 51 mins I lost 10% so it dropped from 100% to 90% I did not use any screen at that time as I was asleep. After that amount of time I used the phone went on youtube for around 30 mins as it says screen time 35 mins and so the battery dropped to 77%. I browsed the internet a bit further and still carried on youtube after another 20 mins (56 mins) the battery dropped to 68%. When the battery had dropped to 59% I roughly had around 1 hour 20 mins on automatic screen display settings but at this stage, as I used the phone more, the android system had went to the top. Sometimes when I just browse my phone, and just go on facebook and check email the battery % can drop very quickly like 1% every 3 mins, is this normal. I hardly use the screen that much. On the iphone 5 if you use the screen for like 5-6 hours browsing, playing games etc the battery would just drop to only 50%. Some people in this forum are saying that they are only loosing 10% per day, and per sleep they are only loosing like 3% if not then 0%. Is my battery normal running normal?
With stock kernel its normal.
What do you mean by stock kernal?

It's the kernel released by LG, so it's the original kernel...
"Stock kernel" means it's the standart kernel you have on your device from the beginning...
...sent with my LG Optimus 4X HD...
oryt but how cone i only get 3-4 hours of screen time on moderate usage? is that normal?

Looks normal to me.
Don't forget that using wi-fi, and specialy on youtube "drain" some battery. Not only
because of screen quality but also the amount of data that you "download", specialy
if you select best quality videos on your settings.
Facebook is kind of a drainer too, specialy if you have notifications ON, update for 30min. and location service ON too (activates GPS)...
I can tell you that could be better but also that could be worse... depends of what you need to be running in background or not.
What apps you need or not.
Don't believe on everything that people says... some had deleted almost all the apps, others say the battery lasts for days but, the phone spend 90% of the battery life in deep sleep...
O4X have some nice features, like high quality screen and all that cost something, that something is battery
A weak network signal or several signals, that make the phone change or look for signal constantly, also contributes for battery drain...
But your battery life looks pretty normal to me
i have try many roms that always cost 1percentage battery every 3minutes,it is normal?or someone can recommend the roms that save battery.thanks
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
that doesn't sound like rom alone, especially if it has happened on multiple roms.
are you keeping the screen on a lot. do you have gps apps running all the time? overclocking? are you running the performance governor or other power hungry tweaks?
do you have accounts set to sync automatically? that causes phone to wake frequently, as opposed to sleep.
lots of time talking or texting?
5 hours on a cappy with heavy use would be normal. 1 % per 3 minutes gives you about 5 hours.
if none of the above, other possible reason is old battery. capacity can drop to 50% of original capacity as battery ages.
edit:
for me, 14 hours typical moderate use. Andoid 4.2, cm10.1 nightly rom, all sync off, using synkr widget to sync only when needed, screen off after 1 minute, using wifi periodically, else 3G+(=H) data, some GMail, some texting, some browsing, maybe a dozen phone calls up to 15 minutes each call. Battery is about 1 year old.
You are still lucky my mobile's battery drains 1% every 2 minute
Battery drain can be a long list of things. However in its very core has to do with wake locks. Simple explanation is apps create a lock on the kernel to keep the device to go to sleep. Either to keep connection, sync to something or as simple as keeping your notification light on. Device needs the wake locks or if you leave it alone for to long it looses all connections, so it's a balance. I suggest you go buy an app called better battery stats and tun it for a few days to see kernel wake locks and partial wake locks.

What type of drain are people getting while phone is not in use?
Last night I dropped from 64% to 54% in 9 hours, despite the fact that better battery stats showed 97% deep sleep for the time period. Seems bad to me. On lots of other phones, overnight drain is in the 2 - 5% range.
Yes, active notifications are disabled while I sleep. I don't even have touchless control set up yet, so it can't be that. I have the same few location services turned on that I always do, and like I said, I usually see 2-5% overnight on other phones, not 10%.
Anybody else?
PS for those of you who want to say who cares, I did this test because I was noticing faster than usual idle drain during the day, too, but sleeping is the best time to get a long chuck of idle time.
Edit: could it be because the phone always has those sensors on waiting to to see if the phone moves to light up the time? Or the double twist for camera sensor always being on?

Get "Better battery stats" or a similar app to see what is running during idle. But to be fair that is just over 1% an hour.....that is not awful whatsoever. The only way you could get any better would be to disable any wifi/data, and those location services.....OR just turn the phone off completely. I've had phones that have had way higher drain on idle than 1.5%.

Like I said in my op, better battery stats showed 97% deep sleep in that time period overnight. And most of my other phones have lost only half as much or so overnight.

How do you get to battery stats? The only info I see is the percentage

When the screen is off, the battery is excellent.
I took it off the charger last night before I went to sleep and it was still 100% after almost 7 1/2 hours.
Just after I took this photo, it dropped to 99%.
I got a few emails and few notifications and the screen on time was 56 seconds.(time out is 7 sec)
When I wear it during the day, it gets down to 30 or 40% by the end of the day, sometimes even less if I am moving around alot that day.
I teach at uni and if I have a morning and afternoon class it kills my watch as I move my arms alot when I talk and gesture at the board.
I confirm the same.
I am still on null_v10, screen brightness set to 3, 7second, auto-on.
When the screen is off, the battery is excellent - I usually recharge before going to bed, in the morning I still have like 99 percent after around 6 hours of sleep.
The main battery killer is the screen - over an hour today , plus I have taken around 5 pictures and 1 minute movie.
I got a few emails and few notifications
When I wear it during the day, it gets down to around 50% by the end of the day, today was a bit busy day so I am at 40% all this seems to be acceptable, as I charge my note at the end of the day anyway, so I charge the watch. With screen auto-on OFF I think that it is possible to stretch the time to 3 days (like going somewhere on the weekend)
I hope that Gear II will have twice the juice and will survive 1 week!
Do you guys have bluetooth tethering enabled?
I only enable it a few times during the day to sync my calendar.
I used to have Facebook and fb messenger installed, but they suck the battery too much with their constant checking for updates.
Getting the notifications through Gear manager is enough for me to know if I need to reply or not and use my phone if I need to.
