Unified Remote - it works on Galaxy Gear! - Samsung Galaxy Gear

After listening to some tips on this forum about Unified Remote, I just wanted to share good news with you guys.
The app DOES WORK! It doesn't require tethering through phone, as there is a direct connection made between Gear-PC. Your PC must be equipped in bluetooth of course. Make sure you turn on bluetooth in Unified Remote options on your PC. After that search for new server with your Gear.
Below few screenshots of sample remotes. There is about 0,3 sec lag so it's nearly latency free
I love the idea of controlling my PC from my wrist. I can change volume, shuffle songs, play/pause movies and way more.. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

Mouse control - just move your finger around the screen to control the pointer
Media controller - change volume, songs etc (Winamp, Media Player, MusicBee, Foobar etc)
i created this small remote to control media player classic. i can play/pause videos, switch to next episode, rewind etc.
it's sending keystrokes to your currently running app, so you can create anything you like.

How it works? And for wich gear it is?
Hello!
This works on gear 1 or gear 2? Or both?
And how you got the App on the gear? Or it´s a ready Download on GalaxyGear Apps?
Thanx

I have a HTPC (Home Theater PC) at home which I control using a BT keyboard (and build-in mousepad).
I have XBMC running on it.
Would I be able to control my XBMC with this app ?
Would be awesome if I could

Where is this app?
Android or Tizen?

I have it on my Gear 1 with the Null Rom. Unified Remote is a Play Store app so you need to be on Null. I've used it via BT on my HTPC with XBMC and Spotify. Works great!

Playing music

for playing music there are two standard options.
the tf3d player and the wmp10. both have problems.
the tf3d player cannot adjust the volume. so you will always have to adjust the total volume.
and both do not have a good library.
i would like a library that shows all the music with artist name and title, and offers you an easy way of playback. with keys you can use with your fingers.
this is an example.

unfortunately pocket player crashes after using it for 1 minute. I do not know why.
so does anyone have a solution, or maybe another player that gives you the same functionality and works.
hi,
if you want to have a very good (maybe the best) mp3 player, you have tu use S2P! and thank A_C for his good job!
cu
I still like and use the original classic HTC AudioManager which runs on the Diamond quite happily alongside the new one.
Very easy to use with fingers and very clear library lists.
Other than that I use Pocket Player and, although slow to start, it has never crashed on either standard or Bepe's rom.
Audiomanager in VGA (bad screenshot - looks much better on Diamond screen!):
It's amazing how you can buy a top end mobile phone with TWO MP3 PLAYERS built in and yet you still have to download third party software to get the job done properly!
It seems that HTC spent so much time pretending to be the iPhone that they forgot to add functionality to such an important feature!
Anyway, I'm off searching for the vga HTC Audio Manager!
as i said, the pocket player crashes on my stock nld rom.
the htc audio manager gives a lot of problems as far as i read in the forum.
the s2p (free by the way) does a nice job.
the volume slider is a bit insensitive, but you can use the up down on the dpad. choosing a number with your finger sometimes makes you choose a number that you did not want, but that is practice

[HELP] Best app to get on a pc screen a real time image of my Nexus S screen

In order to run demos and project (for large audiences) what appears on the screen of my Nexus S, I'm looking for the best app (not necessarily free) able to do that via USB or WiFi.
Have you addressed the same need in the past?
Any suggestion?
Thanks
P.S. Being able to do that without installing any special software on the pc would be a plus
As far as I know, our phones don't have mhl support, so I don't think that you can do this. However there is an app Team viewer, where you can get your pc desktop on your phone. If that doesn't work maybe you can do a gallery of screenshots from the phone to the pc to show what you want? I don't know, hopefully that helps.
its low res but check out webkey in the market. it has a web based screen viewing function as part of its security features, pretty handy.
Hey,
There is an app called "MirrorOP" in the Googleplay market. Install it and then install "MirrorOP Reciever" for PC. Then you will be able to get your phone screen to PC. In the settings you can change the resolution and quality, so you can incerase fps to 25 fps (on the lowest settings).
PS: your nexus must be rooted

Nevermind. Read the OP wrong.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bitmaptest&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5iaXRtYXB0ZXN0Il0.hey, try this. Crystal screen in play store.
If you just want static real-time screenshots, e.g., no animation, try AirDroid (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sand.airdroid). Your phone must have root and grant AirDroid root access to capture screenshots.
This is overkill but if you have the options, it works great.
If you have a Samsung SmartTV connecting to the same network your phone is on, download the app called SwipeIt on both the TV and the phone. You can then use SwipeIt to project your phone screen to the TV.
Thank you all for the kind help.
I really thought this was easier to do.
I tried most of the apps you recommended and they generally require an internet connection rather than a simpler one-to-one connection to the PC (in my case this could be an issue).
I'm now oriented to just record a session, download the video to the PC and play it to demo what I had to demo.
Sent from my Nexus S using xda app-developers app

Samsung's Milk Music app for our Galaxy Tab 7.7?

EDIT!
I download the apk from the link below. No root needed! Works ok. App is a little blurry, guessing it was made for the smaller phone screen.
But hey, FREE MUSIC and no ads. Sweet! Love the "Dial" where we can switch music on the fly. Using it with my car's bluetooth connection.

Can someone create an apk for this app for our Galaxy Tab 7.7?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.mdl.radio
Milk Music™ is a free radio service, with no ads.* With Milk Music, instantly hear music you love – and what you didn’t even realize you’re into – with the turn of a dial.
No charge. No fuss. No ads. All music.
INSTANT AND EFFORTLESS MUSIC LISTENING
• Stumble across new hits and old favorites with a turn of the dial.
• Music plays instantly, as you scan through stations.
• No registration or set-up required.
CREATE YOUR SIGNATURE SOUND
• Customize the dial to show only genres and stations you like.
• “My Stations” collects all the stations you love and those you create into a single station that’s easily accessible on the dial.
• Fine-tune stations based on popularity, novelty and song favorites.
Update! Latest version works perfect. Screen now rotates and not stuck on Portrait mode.

yeah it works fine, thank you.
I saw a module related to this player in xposed, I think it helps those that can not run it. if you had any problems, maybe that will help you.
With the recent updates to Soundcloud angering me, and Pandora and other similar apps just not as appealing to me, I'm glad to see that there is a version out there for my 7.0 tab 3. I'm going to give this a shot after I finish jailbreaking my 5s (attempting a 7.1.2 update). Now the debate will continue... Samsung Tablet, Digital Camera... should I go for the phone or stick with iFruit... time will tell I guess this October.
Works with no root?
I have an HTC One and I downloaded the app and it installed but when I open the app it says device not supported. Am I missing something or was the "no-root" misadvertised. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] how to use BackgroundAudioPlayer in WP8.1 SilverLight

Hi everyone I tried to use BackgroundAudioPlayer many times on WP8.1 Silverlight but couldn't be played anything
Now I started searching about what's going wrong I found tht :
The AudioPlayerAgent and AudioStreamingAgent classes, which supported background audio playback for Windows Phone 8 apps, are not supported in Silverlight 8.1. If you want to support background audio playback, you can continue to use a Windows Phone 8 app or create a Windows Phone Store app, which supports new background audio APIs.

What is the solution or other way to run same thing as BackgroundAudioPlayer in 8.1 silverlight ?
Are you expecting us to tell you something other than what's already in the quoted blob?
Option 1) Use Silverlight for 8.0, not 8.1
Option 2) Make a Windows Phone Store app and use the new background audio APIs (first search response for "Windows Phone Store" background audio

Is it possible with any other ways except MediaPlayer Class and BackgroundAudioPlayer ?
Thank you GoodDayToDie
Hmm, not sure how to cause that control to display on the screen programmatically. It's easy to make the app update it and get events from button presses on it, though. Check out http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...ndows.media.systemmediatransportcontrols.aspx (linked from the page I linked before).

Question Smart View not working with Chromecast.

I can't find my Chromecast when clicking on Smart View on my S21 Ultra. It still works on my Tab S4. What gives? Is there a fix or work around for this? Streaming still works with Google Home, but Google home does not work with, for example with Samsung TV. Thanks for any comments or suggestions.

Do you find your Samsung tv via smart things?
Just pull down the notifications and click on devices.
Smart view + chromecast has been disabled since One UI 3 I think. It'll still work with Samsung TVs. You now have to use the Google home app and enable screen mirroring.

Well that's kinda annoying
Since SmartView 8.2.20.14 now has the "Google Cast" option which re-enables SmartView to find and mirror the screen on Google Chromecast, is there a way to force the app to update on my phone as it is a system app?
