Ya tried any other roms yet? I know it works on 4.3 PAC and my KK ROM (just tested it). ATT user and I don't pay for the service, but it works. Custom roms are awesome.
I love custom ROMs, I've been flashing and rooting for about 3yrs now. What's your KK ROM?

Aosp based 4.4.1 with minimal tweaks. I haven't updated it in a bit, but I've been running it for a month now, needing a reboot once a week or so. I'll get back to working on it eventually.
Edit: It has some issues, but nothing major. Chrome likes to crash with an assload of tabs open for an example.
Can you post the link for me please? It sounds like a good reliable ROM, I would eventually like to learn how to build ROMs.

It's posted under development, about 8 down last I looked. If I were you I'd use Validus (until 4.4 Pac is ready) instead.

So I recently acquired a Sony Xperia Z1S.
Just got it rooted and also installed a custom recovery (TWRP).
Now what's left is a custom ROM to install..
Is there anything out there for the Z1S yet? I saw the MIUI v5 ROM LifeHacks posted but it seems to have a few issues and not very stable..
Thanks!
bump.
There will not be custom rom such as CM, MIUI or any other because your phone cant be unlocked.
But there is probably some stock based roms that you can use.
I will search a little bit.

I just got my Nexus 6 about a month ago and I have started experimenting with root and roms. I have tried a couple roms but I decided I want to return to stock with root just for the best stability. Is there any way I can add tweaks like the circle battery or free wifi tether to the stock rom? Thanks
Or if there is a rom that is stable that you recommend I may look into that as well
Chroma is a nice rom with just the right amount of features.
SinLess rom is extremely stable also, based on stock.

With the exception to cm, not really heard of anything being unstable.
Use xposed

Alright, I will look into it when it becomes more stable because I do miss it from KitKat. Maybe you or someone else could help me out with one more thing. Im trying out BlissPop v2.0 currently and for the wifi hotspot, everything works as it should, but it says "no connected devices". Is there a way to fix this? I know the hotspot is working because I'm using it to post this lol.

I have been looking for an optimized T-Mobile WiFi calling ROM, looks like no body cares about this feature because it is only few ROMS using this feature. I am using the stock rooted but it is bad with the battery and I am used to the battery use in Chrome ROM. Could someone point me to a good rom with the best features and battery with a WiFi calling enabled? Thank you.

its only available in stock(or stock based ROMs?). its added in by tmobile, and not open sourced(yet?). and the majority of ROMs are based on aosp, and the code wasnt put into aosp(yet?). so if you want WiFi calling, you'd have to use stock, or m.
I was about to post the same question... any answers?

The wifi calling bits aren't part of AOSP, a few people have tried to "reverse engineer" it, but with limited success from what I understand. I think part of the problem is finding a developer that has T-Mobile. Being that some of our devs are from all around the world, and even the ones in the US are likely not going to have T-Mobile. This makes their testing slower and/or harder.
I think there are a few that are still working on it, but I don't think it is a major focus of anyone. I know a couple have sorta given up on it.
tl;dr - No custom AOSP (or variations of it) currently have it that I know of, stock ROMs are the only ones (plural because this includes M dev preview) that offer the functionality.

You can get the factory images directly from Google, here. Or there are versions you can flash in a custom recovery and slightly customized versions floating around these forums.

Try the JDX M preview rom here on XDA. Rooted, unencrypted, busy box and a few other fixes. Load that and hellscores latest m kernel and you are good to go

No. Just about any ROM that has been updated in the past month or so should have it built in. The OP of every ROM should state if it includes it, and if it doesn't then there is a good chance it doesn't.
Just as a note, kernels also matter for getting wifi calling to work as well, if you decide to flash a different than what is included with the ROM.

PureNexus is optimized for Project Fi now, and T-Mobile calling is working fine. Been my daily driver since the first release July 5... I kind of miss crack flashing, but it's stable and has lots of great extras! Plus the Dev and community are super helpful!

You'll find WiFi calling in Dirty Unicorns, and in PureNexus as has been already noted, plus Chroma, I believe Minimal OS, AOSiP, as well as most stock based custom roms (include Gapps)...from what I can tell, no Cyanogenmod based rom has it...I'm sure there are others.
Best to flash and try it before fully setting up the rom itself. Here is why...if the feature is important to you, it can take a bit of tweaking to make sure it works...for starters, if going the AOSP route, you'll need a WiFi calling kernel (Lean kernel version 2.10.6 works perfectly), a proper T-Mobile WiFi calling modem, and those include 14R, 16R and 17R...and sometimes you'll need to toggle WiFi calling on and off, reboot, and you also may need to dive into developer options and flip the switch aggressive WiFi to cellular handover.
Good luck!

Aosip is my favourite ROM but I can't figure out how to get the stock gapps working as with stock. For example the caller I'd or business search on the dialer.
I tried the PA gapps stock version but it still didn't work. Any ideas? I've been searching around for an answer for days.

stock stuff works only on stock, it looks as the rom is aosp based. stock and aosp are not the same, they are different roms.
Oh darn. Now I need to contemplate whether or not to go back to stock. Thanks for your help! I thought there might be a workaround though. :/

not that i know of, sorry
The dialer is not part of gapps. You can try and rip the stock dialer out. That used to work on kitkat..otherwise grab the slim roms dialer
For anyone still curious, I finally found a fix at this thread!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/themes-apps/request-google-dialer-2-1-t3097787
Its a flash able zip via recovery. It's the stock dialer.

Hello! I want to switch from Sony Lollipop 5.1.1 to a stable AOSP based rom. I tried CyanogenMod 12.1 and AOSP Jaguar but I experienced screen freezes and general lag that makes me to go back to stock rom. It is a problem with my device or it is a problem with AOSP roms? What can I do in case that my device has this problem?
hi i tried all cm based roms and oasp roms and i can confirm you that all of them have screen freezes. There aren't any solutions expect to switch to stock based roms.

No problem dude but it's strange because it seemed that some users don't have this issue. The only one i didn't tried is this one http://fxpblog.co/qualcomm-krait-400-family/sony-xperia-z1/ because i don't understand how to flash it. If you want to try. (the aosp one)
