So..my xperia z (first one) had some problems with the back and water got in, and oRange gave me another new one back..
The thing is that the new one has " bootloader unlock allowed: yes"...
If its yes..this means that I can install a recovery without losing my waranty...and the bootloader is unlocked ? Or what

No it means that you can unlock your bootloader which will void your warranty and enable you to install custom kernels but remember to back up your ta partition before unlocking. Custom recovery can be installed on a locked bootloader anyway.

Short answer - you can't unlock it ever.
The only exception would be if the status changed to disallowed after rooting. There is a fix for that somewhere in Doomlord's rooting thread.

First time I checked, I was also disappointed, a few days later I realized that I checked the status without having a root phone. After I rooted the phone it said yes for me.

Maybe. Only if the bootloader was actually unlockable to begin with.

Short answer:
If your device says Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No, it means you CAN'T unlock your bootloader.

Unless it was rooted, as this sometimes changes the status to 'No' as stated in the first post of Doomlord's thread. I used bin4ry's tool and the bootloader status was untouched.
Edit:
DooMLoRD said:
if u had an unlockable bootloader device, after using this method the device will be detected as LOCKED or unlock not possible!!! (to fix this use this fix)
...........
Troubleshooting:
if your device has unlockable bootloader then after applying this hack the bootloader status will turn "Bootloader unlock allowed: No"
in that case dont worry the users have reported that doing a repair via SEUS will flash back stock firmware and turn this status to "Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes" (the same might also be achieved by flashing a stock FTF using FlashTool )

Hello, everyone.
I know nothing about rooting, flashing or unlocking bootloader. What I really need is to unlock the network of my phone. It was bought in Portugal locked to the TMN network. I am now back to Brazil and want to use it here. The conventional method of unlocking network is buying a code, but I want to know if there's a way to do it with no expense. What do you guys recommend?
Sony XPeria Z
Model: C6603
Bootloader unlock allowed: NO!!!
Thanks!

Hello and welcome to the forums.
The only way to network unlock this device is with a code, either from the original network provider or from an online seller. It is not possible to unlock any other way.
Additionally, as you're new here, I will suggest you should start a new thread when you have a question in future instead of bumping a very old thread unrelated to your question.

Ok. Sorry about that. I am also new here on XDA.
Thanks for the help. I will have "open my wallet" then
You're welcome and don't worry about it.
It might be helpful for you if you read the forum rules and a message from the moderators, as they both contain some useful information for your time on XDA.

I'm thankful that there are still wanting to address this issue of the bootloader not being unlocked. So my question is as such - Is there anyway (either by contacting T-Mobile, or Sony) that my phone, which is is SIM Unlocked (I know SIM unlock has nothing to do with bootloader unlock), can be bootloader unlocked? I'm just hoping that I can either get with Sony/Tmobile and have them do it, or even if there is a legitimate paid service out there then I will do that too! Any kind of help or anything would be appreciated! All I read is, 'If you're bootloader says no than that means NO', or I will often see people say that their bootloader says no and yet they can still enter fastboot mode.
Currently my device is Sony Xperia Z C6606 Tmobile version. I'm going to try to switch out my microUSB cord and see if fastboot works then. I'm still trying to have some kind of hope that maybe it will somehow work and I can flash a custom rom. Currently, whenever I plug in my phone into any computer, (with drivers installed) it never even shows up in the Device manager so I'm thinking it's an issue with my cord. It charges the device only.
Or should I just sell this phone and get a different android phone where I can unlock the bootloader? lol
Thanks!
You can only flash stock based roms with a stock, unmodified kernel.
Fastboot will connect even with a locked bootloader, but the commands you can use are extremely limited and in your case you cannot do anything with it at all. Your USB cable is not the problem.
If you want to flash CM/PA/AOSP etc, then you'll have to buy a new device. The bootloader is non unlockable. Nobody has cracked the security yet and I don't think anyone is even working on it, to be honest.
Sony or T-Mobile will not unlock it.

After of a few hours of driver issues (adb windows 8 sony xperia z too) I have managed to make them all work.
I tried root without unlocking, no luck with that method
I tried unlocking with flashtool, It said "Done", my first doubt is how I can check my bootloader is unlocked?
After this I tried unlocking with the official way (sony, and I got bootloop,on sony animation logo)
So I had to flash the 10.3.A.0.423 (the one I had previously which I flashed it with flashtool)
Now I think pictures look a bit worse because I have unlocked the bootloader and I have lost the Bravia Engine but maybe its just me, how can I check if I have unlocked succesfully my phone? If I have unlocked it I have lost the BE? I tried to save it with no luck because I wasn't root
How can I succesfully install a recovery for installing another rom? all the tutorials aren't working for me neither the locked recovery cwm or the unlocked one..
Can someone link me to other tutorials?
The order is Root, Unlock, Recovery?
Flash doom kernel with fastboot,it has root and recovery.
If it's successfully flashed that means you have an unlocked bootloader.

Hey guys!
If i had a branded Xperia Z1, couldn't I just flash a generic .ftf file to debrand it?

To get rid of some bloat? Yes. To unlock bootloader? Not if it's locked by carrier.
Type *#*#7378423#*#* and check what saying Bootloader Unlock Allowed: Yes or No. If it's Yes you can unlock it and install Custom Kernels. If it's No you cannot Unlock it, ever. This is not Sim Unlock, and to do that you have to pay for it. Anyway with Locked Bootlader you can Root, Install Recovery and Unbrand your phone just Flashing Generic Unbranded FTF via Flashtool and you are fine.

download count also increases
i want to know that if i root Sony sp then like some things happen
i have to submit my full imei number to Sony
if i lock boot loader again then i can regain my warranty if my imei number is with sony

There is no flash counter to worry about with Sony phones...... Once you have unlocked bootloader your warranty is void even if you relock it.
Rooting does not void warranty.

Why?? I will relock bootloader, restore DRM keys, flash stock rom and will have same system when was when I bought the phone.
That I have "order" unlocking bootloader key doesen't mean that I did it.

Yes. But when you relock it, restore TA partition and flash stock there will be no sign that you have done it.
You may be correct... but most people will say that unlocking bootloader well void the warranty.

Yes, but you have given the imei of your device to Sony in order to get the unlock code. So if something happens to you phone and you get it at a Sony repairing center, the first thing they do is to read the imei from your device and check if it is in there database

I have buy a bulb yesterday. Just in case. Thats mean that I have to immediately change it??
No.
And for confirmation.
I ave do it twice.
First with my old LG GT540. (Stock -> root -> cyanogenmod (warranty off) -> flash stock without recovery, and fastboot (warranty on)
Second. Xperia SP (Stock -> root -> bootloader unlock (warranty off) -> existenz -> relocking BL -> Restoring TA -> Stock ROM (warranty on)
Both of them was rapairing without aditional costs.
End.
