Very annoying screen on ARHD! - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm on ARHD GP edition and I tried a few KK launchers from the play store including (Team Syndicates) but I ended up with Epic Launcher. Now every time I unlock my phone I get this annoying screen that looks like team syndicates launcher home screen with no icons until I tap my screen it goes to my default launcher. It's very annoying I have uninstalled all other launchers and even cleaned my SD card, system, and apps with both SD maid & Clean Master but the problem persists. Might there be some residual files I can't find? Anyone else have this issue?

[CM6.1 Problem] Launcher2 option causes Droid1 boot screen hang.

Tried to install CM6.1 with the launcher 2 option but after install my phone just hangs at the cm logo animation. I can feel the vibration from unlocking the phone when I touch the area that it should be in. I would just use the ADW launcher but they switched the belete icon and uninstall short cut to appear at The top of the screen rather than dragging it to the app drawer. I have replaced the app drawer 5 times now because of that and I have to reinstall each time because there isn't an option to bring it back or just lock it there. I don't like launcher pro so don't suggest it. I can make dew and just remember not to do that but a way to load launcher 2 stick would be nice

[Q] Nova crashes and Apex Stutter?

Hi,
I use Nova prime for some time, and I like it..
However, it now and then crashes. I don't know what the cause of the crashes is...
Since the last update there seem to be less crashes...
I made it a system app, and added an entry in build.prop so it stays in memory, but still the crashes are there. Very annoying.....
Apex gives me also the layout I like, but it stutters while switching homescreens, unless you remove the labels from the icons.
(I am on LRQ, with Hydracore OC, but on stock kernel the same happened)
I use the calender widget and google reader widget from Android Pro widgets, and a clock from Beautiful Widgets.
Anyone knows how I can get rid of the Nova crashes, or the stutter of Apex?
Thanks!

Apex under Advanced settings is keep in memory option, try that. Also with Titanium Backup you can convert Apex or Nova to a system app. I have had some success with those in the past. I found LRQ to be a little too buggy for my tastes.
I am using the beta version and dunn have any crashes. Maybe you can try it also ?
Yes it's true. the problem solve when used beta version
if on custom safe kernel, reboot recovery and fix permissions. That might fix the closures.
If on JB then probably due to memory leak. Reboot device.
Laginess can be caused by errors and processes running a lot. Check logcat for stuff.

I have tried Apex beta and it still stutters switching home screens unless you disable the icon labels or use tablet mode (is without labels)
App drawer is smooth just as the none beta.

Home.apk gets frozen

From time to time my widgets on the home screens are getting stuck. for example clock widget, weather widget, music widget. clock stops on a random hour. Music widget is completely not working., The only solution is to restart the phone or "Force stop" the Home.apk. I´m on 10H firmware and I've already restored the phone to factory defaults. Just wondering if someone experienced same thing? if yes can you advise how to fix it? The non stock widgets I´'m using are: BeWeather Pro and ClockQ Premium.
Have not yet heard of that problem?
May use another launcher (apex for example)
and see if it occures with it the same way.
Greetings
It looks like BeWeather was doing it. I've removed the widget from the screen yesterday and since that time no issues at all. Will report that to developer of the app.

Home screens settings lost upon reboot.

Every time I restart my phone, it forgets all the home screen settings. When it starts back up, it asks which launcher I want to use (I prefer ADW EX), and when it gets to the home screen, all widgets and wallpapers are gone. I thought it might have something to do with ADW, so I restarted the phone, and chose the stock launcher. Again, all widgets were gone and the wall paper was changed.
Any clue why this is happening?
Mine is similar on cyanogenmod and removes the messaging icon after every reboot.

Weird. I'm totally stock and not rooted.

[Q] Move Apps to SD card, then icons and widgets disappear

Some apps are moveable to the SD card using the App page in Settings.
When I move any app it seems to move OK and functions but after a reboot the icons and widgets for moved apps disappear from home screens. The apps can still be run the app drawer so are still installed, if I drop an icon back onto a home page it again disappears on reboot.
I've tried 2 different (32 Gb) SD cards, a Sandisk and a Transcend and the same happens with both.
Anyone else notice this, or have an idea why it might be happening?

It's a common problem of google launcher
Try using any 3rd party launcher
I recommend you using lucid launcher, apex launcher or nova launcher

Thank you, that's very helpful. I've just tried Nova launcher as it was a familiar launcher from another phone and the icons now stay after a reboot, BBC weather widget still gets lost, but I'll try another launcher and see if I get that to remain.
Thanks.

I suggest u lucid launcher (If you want a simple and fast launcher) I personally use this launcher and it's working flawless without any problem
Thanks for the tip, I'll try it.
I've discovered that apps with widgets or root requirements should not be moved to the sd card, so I'm happy that icons don't disappear now I've stopped using Google launcher.
Lollipop Fixed This for Me
I had the same issue with 4.4.4. Any app that was moved to the SD card would have its icon disappear after a restart. I haven't tested all the movable apps but the 3 that I did try no longer have this issue once I got the 5..01 Lollipop update.
