If you don't use it just disable it under settings>apps
There are better news apps out there anyway imo.

Can anyone suggest me some apps that can give you statistic on battery usage (I want something more detailed than the Battery Use menu in the Setting)
Preferably it can show you how much drain the phone use at current state and maybe it can also show you for each process as well
Thanks

Battery Monitor Widget Pro.....works perfectly well for me...
Betterbatterystats...2.00euros on market, free on XDA
battery monitor widget is the best.
Thanks, guys
I've tried battery monitor widget and it works for me. Will try betterbatterystats later
Cheers
I've tried them both.
batterbatterystats & battery monitor widget works great in pair to determine how your battery consumed & optimizing it.
I thinks i've found what i want. Solved
After a full charge, without even touching it, it drains the battery quite fast! Also I've been on a full Charge and not even an hour of screen time and already 65%. And I've only been using Talk and the xda premium app.
My current rom is aokp_galaxysmtd_jb_build-4
I would most appreciate it if any of you would suggest different kernels or roms or something that could help me with this situation.
Get the BetterBattery Stats app from the market. It gives a much more detailed view on what is eating your battery. I had a similar problem and helped me out with finding a bad app running in the background.

Thank you very much, I'm going to try it and let you know.
EDIT: I used the app, and it doesn't seem like any apps are running in the background other then the default apps such as calander, google search, clock, etc...
Likely it's just my faulty rom (AOKP). I will consider changing it. Thanks for the help btw!
I am running DarkyROM with a semaphore kernel. Really fast and great battery life.

Make sure to also check CPU states in the BetterBatteryStats app. When not doing anything your phone should go into deep sleep. If it doesnt, you can check the Kernel Wakelock en Partial Wakelocks in that app to see what is keeping your phone awake.
PS: I'm using X-Bean 3.0 rom with Semaphore kernel 2.6.1 and very happy with it.

That is facebook. My max is 211 MB weird. You can solve it by disable it and use another application for facebook but I havent found any good one (yet)
Its normal, just the NSA stealing your data. The Facebook app is a known RAM hogger, like windows facebook will eat as much RAM as you have available.
PS: Try restarting your phone once in a while.

Hello,
Dont know if your ever tried fast facebook? I really like it has a nice holo theme to it and is pretty fast, only problem is that the app is very slow at 2G or something but on wifi and 3G no problems. You only need to install other apps for notifications and widgets. And the app isnt hogging ram or something .

It is not problem related to your device.
Problem lies with the applications and their optimisation. All mentioned apps are battery hoggers. You can complain at app's Google play page. (But they'll not listen obvio)
I dont have facebook, i have instagram greenified so it only consumes battery when i use it, and with whatsapp i found that going to to settings, backup and resit and disabling backup helped so much. I noticed whatsapp was sending and receiving a huge amount of packets compared to my actual usage so figured it must constantly be syncing in the background. You can either set up tasker to turn backup back on once a day like i do or whatever frequency you choose or just do it manually yourself from time to time.
Edit: i have added some screenshots. Since these i have been playing around with custom kernels and have been getting even better battery life.

On your phone go to settings, go down to backup and reset, under backup my data tap it and select off. Recharge your battery and see if it makes a difference, it did for me.
Oh yeh and on the play store find whatsapp, scroll down and enter the beta programme.

Okay maybe if i do another reset things will be fine ?
Using the modded version of whatsapp with no hibernation despite of greenify installed. My battery time is more than a day despite of heavy gaming and Facebook... O yes, i dont use messenger n fb app, use folio instead, it would save you 450mb of additional space along with ram n battery ?...

Is it normal?
Hello
Some of you should already received Android 11 update.
What is you experience with that ? Any good ?
Battery is better.
UI is more transparent and smooth.
Wallpaper app works not correctly (displays wrong wallpaper position)
They have reduced screen size after Android 11 update
Samsung Galaxy M51 had an app crash issue (android bug) ater Android 11 update which can be fixed by manually updating "Android System WebView" from play store. Rest everything feels more or less same. Battery is much better.
Already got Android 11.
I think battery management is worse. Killing apps running in background is not as good as on Android 10
So far I have only heard bad things about the upgrade:
- poor battery life
- app crash issues
- wallpaper app not working properly
- auto HDR not working in camera
- device slow, etc.
I think I'll stick with Android 10 for now. If it ain't broke, don't fix.

It had nothhing to do with M51 and Android 11. It was problem of Android System WebView itself - present on many other phones. Already fixed by Google.

Having received a newer version of android 11

Agree ! Even app killing is too agresive. I cannot have Spotify running constantly - despite all limitations are excluded.
everything is good except the camera i think it is downgraded

AT first yes but after last small update battery is as good as previously
I suggest recheck your apps power settings one by one
No substantial benefits or drawbacks noticed so far. Stock UI feels a bit more laggy in some situations (opening app drawer or a favorites folder on the start page).
