[Q] Boot Loop Issue - HELP! - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Okay, so I tried to install the Android Revolution Google Play 6.0 ROM, and I'm stuck on a boot loop. I've tried factory reset, etc. I can't get it to work. I'm currently sitting inside of CWM trying to figure out how to fix my phone, I have no idea what to do. Help, anyone?

try fastboot erase cache

Could you be more specific? If I go to the fastboot menu of the bootloader, the only options are Bootloader, Reboot, Reboot Bootloader, and Power Down.

Install mini-sdk. Then open cmd and get into tha directory of fastboot.
Put your phone on fastboot mode and then type in cmd the command.

Bro u have to S-OFF the phone. ARHD 6.0 DOES NOT WORK ON S-ON. If u have any other rom file or a nandroid backup, flash it. Then install Android Revolution HD 41. After the installation happens, go to this link : rumrunner.us
Run the utility. The phone will now be S-OFF. Then flash Revolution HD 6.0. Remeber to wipe the data bfor installation in the Aroma installer

Possible Bricked Phone

I am really hoping someone can be of some assistance to me, today i managed to unlock the bootloader, install TWRP and root the phone, i then stupidly downloaded and installed a boot animation from ROM Toolbox lite and went to TWRP and tried to flash it, it came up failed, tried to reboot but it only boots into recovery, tried wiping cache, dalvik cache, factory reset, system and format data and still it only boots into recoverywebt to advanced tried to install it said HTC Dumlock is installed but still boots into recovery, tried reflash to recovery abd restore original boot but still it wont boot up as normal, how can i get the phone to just boot up normally does anyone know?
I am such a twat im usually fairly careful when it comes to this type of thing, it'll be a nightmare if i have to pay to leave it into to get done.
Calm flash a custom rom after a full reset and it should work
If you're having issues putting a rom on your device it's possible through adb sideload with the AIO Toolkit

If you do a factory reset, you remove the Rom element so ideally as I previously mentioned flash a new Rom problem solved

Yeah you need to flash a custom rom - you've wiped system so it won't ever boot no matter how many times you try otherwise

Thanks mate can you be a little bit more specific as to how i can put a ROM on the phone as ive never heard of that AIO toolkit?
If you enter CWM recovery, theres an option called install zip from sideload. Press that and then plug it into your PC, and in CMD type
Code:
adb sideload <location of rom.zip on PC>
I use TWRP i assume that has the same adb sideload?
I am downloading Android Revolution now, so if i create a folder on C drive called c:\android then the ROM is the the img i flash when i open a command?

I presume, I've never used TWRP and yeah correct.
OK i am in ADB sideload now when i open a command and type adb sideload i do not know what else to type, i have saved both the boot img and the full zip file (Android Revolution) in the c:\android folder?
When you type adb devices does your phone show up? Have you installed the correct drivers

see the attached, i aloso tried to drag and drop the boot img to the command window and it wouldnt work, then tried the Android Revolution ZIP and it prompts me to use winrar, wtf am i doinf wrong, all i need to know do i use the boot img or the actual full zip file and i need to know what the exact location to type, i created a folder on c drive called android.
I am in an internet cafe too so i cant stay all day just another hour or so.
thanks
I am gonna have to leave it for now as its doing my head in, i wouldn be grateful if someone could post some specific instructions later and ill attempt it tomorrow, everything appears to be ok when i type cmd then
cd c:\android
adb sideload (what is thew exact name of the file i need to enter)
In the folder 'Android' which you cd'd to, is there adb.exe? And you dont use .img you link to the actual rom zip.

Buddy before anything else could you please put/attach/upload the flashable zip of the bootanimation you got from ROM toolbox?
It is better that we know first what partition it has overwritten so we could distinguish what we need to fix.
I understand that usually the system partition is the culprit but reading from the thread that is all pure guesses. It could be you overwritten a different partition that resulted to this.

Hi. I dont mean to hijack the thread but I thought it would be better than starting a new thread with the same problem. I just got my One today and started going through the process of installing a custom rom. I unlocked the bootloader, installed a custom recovery and root and everything went fine. When I went to install Revolution 9.2 I went through the aroma installer and everything said it went OK but I'm now in a boot loop.
I installed the toolkit and using that I was able to flash different recoveries, including the stock recovery, but while I can see a different recovery screen flash, it then still boot loops. I can get into Fastboot, but not recovery. I'm downloading a stock rom exe as suggested, but didnt know which one to select. Im downloading an Asia one since im in NZ and thats the closest. is it possible to flash back to stock by fastboot? Im wondering if my partition got porked during the rom flash.
Any ideas?

But before you must find a way to stop the boot loop and enter to the recovery.
There is a boot.img in the ARHD zip file. Extract that file and by using "fastboot flash boot boot.img" command install to the phone.
After that erase the cache again. And Install any custom recovery. Try installing rom by AIO Toolkit SIDELOAD option.

Rooted with TWRP how to update to 1.31

Downloaded update (256mb) seems to install goes to TWRP bootscreen, select reboot, go back to settings>update and its still showing the update as if it never installed. Do I have to flash the update using TWRP manually? Am I getting this because I use TWRP and should I change to CW 10?
Already downloaded 1.31 stock rooted rom image (900mb) just encase.

No, flashing the rom won't erase the data. Usually when moving between rooms, it's a good idea to wipe data anyway. I did not wipe data moving from the previous stock rooted rom to this update.
The firm doesn't touch the data either.

So, where did I go wrong? When I tried to flash the stock rom TWRP gave me an error on the zip (Sprint_HTC_One_1.31.651.2_Stock_Rooted). The reboot got me into the loop.
I need help with this as well. I'm rooted with s-off (not moonshine method) and after flashing the stock_rooted zip in TWRP, everything appears to work until after it displays the "updating android apps" window, then it just hangs on "finishing boot". Do I need to re-flash my custom rom as well prior to rebooting? I'm using tranquil rom by the way.

Accidentally Installed a Rom While S-ON

For some stupid reason I thought I had S-Off. Installed a rom that required S-Off.
Phone boots to the "select language screen", then reboots itself. Does this continuously.
Can't mount my phone to my computer either. Any ideas?
Phone is unlocked and rooted.
Didn't do a backup either.
You can install roms with s-on. Boot into recovery and install another rom. If problem continues you can fastboot erase cache.

---------- Post added at 09:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:13 PM ----------
flash TWRP recovery 2.6.3.3 for M7 if you have international M7
Reboot into recovery.
Now make a Wipe of the phone like when you installing new ROM.
Now Select mount
Tick DATA and just data. System and Cache must be unchecked. Leave it there for now.
Now download new ROM you want and put it into your fastboot folder with adb.exe and fastboot.exe files in it if you know what i mean.
Now start fastboot and write following adb push rom.zip /sdcard/. and hit enter. Wait a couple of minutes until you see that files are transfered.
now go back from mount in TWRP until you see the rom file. FLASH the ROM...
Tried two roms and it fails when trying to flash.
I'll try and download some others ...

[Q] Cyanogenmod Bootloop

Hi, currently I my HTC One is just going in to a bootloop when I turn it on (i.e I turn it on and the cyanogenmod icon spins forever until the phone runs out of charge). I can however, get it into recovery mode.
If someone could provide me with a step by step method of fixing my phone, I would be eternally grateful.
Here is what I see when I boot into recovery. i.imgur.com/d2GtlSF(dot)jpg
Are you s-on? If so, extract the boot.img from the zip you flashed put it on your PC, go to bootloader and issue the following command from your PC:
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
The reason you need to do this is when your secure flag is on, you cannot flash to your boot partition in recovery mode.

fastboot erase cache
then try to reboot, if it still doesn't work, reflash the rom you want to use.
you must have twrp 2.6.3.3 to flash most roms and I think CM roms need at least 2.7.0.8 (unofficial twrp)
