This actually locks and resets your device correct? I only want to hide the splash screen dev distribution message, sorry i didn't specify.

Yeah that will work, because what the hex edited version of the hboot does, is it tricks the device into thinking the hboot is S-ON, even though it is actually S-OFF. So unless someone was trying to figure out the S-ON state, they would never know just by looking at the bootloader screen. And to answer your question, yes this will remove the disclaimer bs when you turn on your phone.in other words, it will make it seem as though your device is stock -minus the rom you have-. Hope that helps!

[Q] S-OFF question

I understand that by S-OFF it would enable me to eventually debrand my phone.
Can i ask, what other steps apart from gaining S-OFF on my phone would I need to do to remove the branding from my HTc one.
I'm new to the rooting scene, So as much help as possible would be greatful.
Also, by debranding would I get OTA updates from HTC and not my current provider, Three.
You put your one in s-off.
After you change the cid with the supercid and now, you can flash an european ruu and you will get OTA from HTC!
Bye Bye Brand

This is why?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Also one more thing, If i s-off and flash a custom RUU, would I still be able to contact Three to carrier unlock my phone or would I have todo this by other methods?
Thanks,
Alex

See post 2 here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42379054) to remove the red warning txt.
Note: Also flashing a stock recovery *should* remove the warning as well.

Twrp problem

Just rooted and unlocked bootloader, tried to s-off but firewater didn't work I'm on stock 1.54.651.8, so just installed twrp to flash a custom rom but every time I try to, the touch stop working in aroma, when I look at the log I see this stuff. Tried changing the twrp version but still same thing. Every time I touch the screen or buttons the E. Keeps going

Have you tried my TWRP build? Click recovery version in my sig for a link.
No I haven't I saw it yesterday I'll try when I get home later
Also, you'll need to use the SunShine exploit to gain S-off since Firewater failed.

No it's said bootloader unlock for me. it's said Allow bootloader to be unlocked ...
I had a a5 2017 last time and it was needed for custom rom and recoveries so why not there ?
Does your have also that ? I know the axon m is probably not able to anything with it. But does the china and russia version are the same ?
Well just got mine and yes in developer mode it gives a button to unlock bootloader. Enabled it and says devices protections will not be usable when this option is chosen.
Mine shows the same thing. Does it actually do anything/let something like Kingo root it?
