HTC One on MetroPCS - Sprint HTC One (M7)

I've recently flashed my Sprint HTC One over to MetroPCS a couple days ago. They Reminded me that the Sprint SimCard was inside my otterbox. i was using the stock rom until i wanted to just browse some of the latest kitkat roms. I flashed to the Beanstalk 4.4.2 Rom. Setup when fine until i notice i had no signal what so ever. So i put back in the sim card just to be curious and i rebooted the phone and i had very small signal i was able to call my VM to see if i could make calls and i could send text messages but the issue now is that i cant get any data. i switch to different network settings to: CDMA/EvDo to Global ect. And 3g would pop up for only 5secs and disappear. So i tried another Rom out to see if it was just that one and it happen to be the same problem over again. When installed the rom this time with the sim card it was trying to pick up data but and it called *22896 and stated it couldn't pick up data. it wouldn't allow me to connect to Google play or Google now unless i pulled the sim card out and reboot the phone. it only does this on ASOP Roms that goes through the sim card setup on the first boot On sense 5.5/4.4 Im able to get data but i cant connect to the play store Do i need to SuperCID my phone? or do i need to try the international Roms? please help.

No Network to call but 3g works(Solved by fluke)

Got a new problem with my G1, basicaly I used my phone placed it in my pocket went out then when I next checked my phone I had no signal, I didn't take too much notice of it. When I got home and also there I had no signal, did the obvious rebooting, no joy. Then I did a wipe restarted the phone, still no signal now this is the strange part I had 3g because my phone let me sign in also started syncing my phone contact. I can browse on the net also download from the market but when i dial a number I get the message Not registered on network. So when I went to settings/call settings/network operators/available networks clicked on t-mobile it says Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network. Then just for fun try it with the other network operators same message. Also my sdcard was reformated.
Then I downgraded to rc7 (dreaming.nbh) rebooted no call signal but can browse and use market so I've updated to android 1.5 ota still no joy any ideas I planing to take to a t-mobile store let them check it also has anyone else had this problem before.

Sounds like a problem with your network, not with your phone. Either that, or your SIM card is fried. Assuming you're on T-Mobile from your post, you need to contact them for a new SIM card (you can do this inside any of their stores.)

It really may be the SIM card or the SIM card reader in your phone (more likely the SIM card) it may work on another phone
try cleaning the contacts (the ones on the phone, not the ones IN the phone) ?
Call customer service and ask them to take you off whatever tower your phone is now on? suposebly pulling the battery will do it to.. Also get Anycut and make a short cut to phone info an toggle radio on off?
same problem occasionally

i'VE had the same issue, occasionally, I'm fairly certain its the sim card, not the phone. you can take the battery out, pull out the sim card, clean it up (don't use watter or anything that'll scratch it of course) and put it back in, make sure its securely in there, and boot up the phone, however, I've also noticed that sometimes in the middle of the night (like around 2AM to 330AM PST) sometimes cell coverage gives out for t-mobile where I'm at (friends confirmed), if you only just recently recieved 3g in yoru area, they are doing maintenance to get it up and running perfectly, so don't fret too much
EDIT:
Another thing I did was made sure to mess with the APN settings. dont' edit them, just try and change your APN from T-mobile to ATT, wait for it to say "not supported by sim" and then switch back over to T-mobile, that worked for me twice now
I'm having this same problem, only I can't surf the web or use the market. :\ Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Sorry to reply so late but the probem is now solved, this is what I did, I took out my sim card out the phone put it in an old phone to see if my sim had any issues but I forgot to take out the sim and put it back in my g1 went sleep.
Next morning put the sim in my g1 and all is fine got connection and all functions working, then waited a few hours no problems at all.
So I rerooted installed the danger spl and custom rom and the probem has just vanished, haven't got the slightest clue why that happened or what caused it.
The sim is new just under a month old lost my old 1 uk t-mobile charged me just under a £10 for a new 1 even if your on contract thiefs

its probably
A) the SIM got dislodged or
b) your G1 contacts were dirty.
All the above could cause the phone to not read the information on the SIM
Blowing the dust out/wiping the goldcontacts where the sim goes, and tightly inserting the sim might help, grandmegabosses

Very weird problem with modem connection

Hi, i used to have a samsung wave but the screen is dead in piece, my friend gave me his nearly brand new samsung galaxy ace (From koodo), i swapped the sim card from my old phone and used the change phone service from my provider (Telus), but it doest work half the time, my network power alway keep playing from 0 bar to 4 bar, even at 0 bar it could work, and even at 4 bar it could not work, i noticed that everytime i leave my house i loose my network even if im getting better network outside, or if my wifi is on, and i decide to turn it off, it would also mess with the network and make it stop working again, when it doesnt work, it would just fail to send txt, and when i try to call, there is just nothing that happen and suddenly i hear a bip and call is closed, the only thing i can do to fix is to reset the phone, but then it will happen again soon, no matter what.
I had data enabled for like 5 hour, nothing was downloading or anything and then my provider sent me a msg saying that ive spend 10$ on data... Phone wasent even doing anything... And when I try to check the network lock by dialing the code, I'm getting a error "connection problem or invalid MMI code"
I tried the official rom and a bunch of unofficial one like CM, but none would fix the problem. I unlocked the phone using the bml5 method. An im currently on the ultimatum rom.
Anyone could have an idea to stop this to happen?
Thanks
Maybe before unlocking it you should had to try flashing a branded Telus rom with ODIN. Give a try to my advice and give feedback

I just noticed something that could be vital... The plastic shape of the koodo and telus sim card is the same, but the koodo gold thing behind the sim card is twice the size of the one of telus, does that matter?
Otherwise, should i use the stock koodo rom or telus one? But where can i get them?....

So i contacted telus, they said they do have hard problem to connect to my sim card, and a faulty sim card would also cause the messing between 0-4 bars. I guess i will first try to get a new sim,
So ive changed the sim card but it didnt helped at all, next i should try to put it back to original rom, but i have no idea where i could get a rom from koodo, where can i find those?
All the rom from carriers and not are available on sammobile.com. You need to register to the site in order to download the rom but you can browse rom without log in.

[Q] Swapping ROMS on Straight Talk

I just got straight talk working on my ATT Note 3. (SMS, MMS, data, calls inbound and outbound working) But I heard that the SIM card is locked to that phone forever. And I heard that flashing a new ROM will make it where the card won't activate on the new ROM. Then i would have to spend the money and buy a new card Is this true? or is this with the IMEI only? also I can't seem to check my data usage on Straight Talk. When I text 611611 "usage" it force closes the phone. I'm thinking it could be the ROM so that's why I was discussing about how safe it is to swap ROMS on straight talk and if they can be re-activated after a ROM flash.

the regional unlock thread has the side affect of unlocking the sim as well"you wont need this except if you want to travel international ". And changing the rom has no affect on your already activated sim you just have to re-enter the apn settings into the new rom. And your sim chip is portable from one at&t phone to another as long as it will fit in the phones sim chip slot. So no you wont need a new sim card if you change roms. I really wouldn't advise you to change roms tho. If you don't know what you're doing you could brick your phone.

SIM card doesn't work properly

Hi,
I am getting no cell signal on my phone. Sometimes it works for a few seconds, but then after using the data connection it drops again. The only stable signal seems to be 2G, which of course is really slow. When I try to manually search for networks, I get an error. And when I look for the APNs it says there is no SIM card inserted. However, when I remove the SIM card I get an additional notification in the task bar in the upper right. So there is a difference, ans the SIM card is recognized, but just doesn't work properly.
I think the problem started after flashing a custom rom, the GPE+ rom. But I flashed an RUU zip file so that shouldn't matter.
My warranty of 2 years has just expired. But I might be able to get support because of the laws here. It would of course be much easier, however, if I could find an answer here.
I am running Android 5.0.2, firmware version 7.19.401.30 (the latest version).
Also, it's not a SIM card problem, as I tried various SIM cards.
Does anybody know a solution for this?
Thanks in advance!
Fabian.
EDIT: Now I can't even connect to 4G, and the 3G drops after a few seconds.
2G dropped too now. I flashed the 5.1 GPE edition ROM again and 2G seems to be back now, but no more than that. Anyone?

Q Link Wireless HTC Desire 510; Popping in an already activated Sprint LTE SIM card;

I received a free HTC Desire 510 from Q Link Wireless. Think of it as an Obama Phone. I've been able to unlock the bootloader from HTC, then flashed the latest version of TWRP 3.0.2-0 Have been able to obtain root, flash custom ROM's, kernels & of course most importantly make nandroid backups. Only thing i haven't been able to achieve and that is S-OFF by Sunshine because I am not shelling out $25. Anyways back on subject. It came with a Sprint Micro SIM card and I believe it is only data because I can remove it and still have calls and texts SWIM (someone who isn't me) went to a Sprint store yesterday and found a a working tablet that had LTE connectivity SWIM then secretly popped out the SIM and took it home and switched the Micro SIM Cards and now they get a message in the status bar saying invalid sim/ no service. Another SWIM of mine has an unlocked GSM phone and doesn't pay for their phone bill. Just takes the appropriately sized sim out of the store and pops it and most of the time doesn't even need to changed the APN settings. Any Suggestions for the for the cheap skate leaving well low behind the poverty line. Current ROM I am running is CM12.1 which sadly has tons of bugs, like no camera, random reboots while turning on WIFI and Airplane Mode. Also can someone suggest a custom kernel for CM12.1 with Write Protection Removed? I know this is all over the place and I apologize. It is just a free phone to tinker with until the ONEPLUS 3 comes out with the Soft Gold, hopefully that's the one with the white front. I never dig phones with white fronts but there's something special about it. Can anyone recommend any decent ROM's (because most of them reboot) for this phone along with kernel to go to with it that that has Write Protection Removed. Also in Mobile Network Settings there's an option called CDMA subscription that lets you choose from RUIM/SIM & NV. Any thoughts? One last thing... When I have the original SIM card in under APN settings there's a grip load of APN options, but when i stick in the the other Sprint Micro Sim there are none whatsoever. Ive even tried adding and saving an APN but it doesn't save the APN I remember with the Nexus 5, 6, 5X, t6P and Moto X Pure you could just take an already acitvated SIM card from Srpint and it would would. Any idea
