It asks for proof of purchase. Is it for the Moto X or for the phone I'm trading in; both? Can it be combined with the sale on Monday? And can it further be combined with the $50 friends promo code?

Hi guys. I bought a Moto Droid on the 28th of July for $250/w a $100 mail-in rebate, Its now the 20th of August and i was told i can bring the phone back in before the 30 days are up to exchange it for something else. I want the Droid X, which is $299 and i think a $100 mail-in rebate. My question is, i received my $100 mail in rebate today but havent used it, so can i bring my Droid back in tomorrow and just pay an extra $50 to get the Droid or will they trip about recieving the $100 mail-in rebate (the side of the box was cut off so it wont be a surprise)?
I just dont want to go into the store and make a fool of myself tomorrow...please help.
Pissed, haven't even received my 32GB, black leather, red trim phone yet, and I can get it $50 cheaper now. My wife has an upgrade available too, can I buy a new one and return the phone to Verizon w/in 14 days?

Why not try asking Motorola for a credit. For the inconvenience of still waiting for your phone and since they've discounted the price. Pick up a turbo charger and a case or something.

Working on that now, though I really only want to get the $50 discount. Only headache is related to the upgrades. The Moto maker process did take my upgrade, so I spoke to Verizion, aside from having to play some upgrade ping pong with the upgrade on my wife's line, there shouldn't be a problem placing a second order and getting the upgrade back when Motorola cancels my first order. If I didn't have another upgrade available, this would be a much bigger deal.
I only placed the original order on 10/8, which is one reason why I am miffed about the discount. I realize that Moto can't always just apply sale pricing to previous purchases. I'm actually pleasantly surprised that they are willing to take the phone back w/ no penalty (15 day buyers remorse program, includes return shipping via FedEx). The upgrade ping pong is a minor annoyance and worth the $50 to me. It would certainly be nice if they could just cancel the first order... on hold regarding that right now. Cancelling the order wasn't possible.
Overall, both Moto and Verizon customer support were very helpful, and I'll be able to get my discounted 32GB, black leather, red trim Moto X 3 days later than the original.
I am on Verizon and I want to keep my unlimited data plan but I have Amazon gift cards that I want to use against the phone so getting it at full price from Verizon is not what I want to do. I'm trying to figure out which one of these Amazon listings are legit for the Verizon off contract phone. I would post links but my account is still too new. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
As long as you select the off contract option (should be $549.99 new) you'll be fine.
I see the $549.99 off contract phone. Is this the normal price? When I look at purchasing the Moto X on Motorola's website it comes out to $500 ($534 with tax + shipping). Any idea of why this is? Thanks.

Is the one you are looking at 16gb or 32gb? The 16gb is $500 from Moto and the 32gb adds an extra $50. That could account for the extra cost. Or it could just be the seller marking it up.

Looks like the price went down since we're talking about it. I see $526.99 for the "Without a Service Plan" option.
Verizon has an online deal at the moment where the Moto Insta-Share Projector is free when you purchase any Moto-Mod!
The cheapest Moto-Mod available that is in-stock is the Kate Spade Style Shell for $39.99. Plus shipping is FREE.

Notes:
* You do not need to have a Verizon phone to purchase accessories on the Verizon site.
* This CAN be combined with an employee discount if you currently get a discount on your Verizon bill through your employer, however you may need to add it to your cart BEFORE you log in, otherwise it may only show a 25% discount instead of the free projector offer. With my employee discount the case is only $29.99. Not all employee discounts include discounts on accessories.
Does that work for non US-citizen in another country?
Thanks for the heads up, ordered my z2 last night and was wanting the battery pack (have the tumi on my standard z). Might as well get the project along with it!
wonder if the projector ships with the mod you ordered or later.

It shipped together with my order.
When I add the case to the cart, the projector isn't shown. According to their site the promo is still going on. Any ideas?
Got the deal in a corporate store. The guy didn't seem too happy I bought a $39 case and got the projector free. Haha

This is a really good deal, but I'm having a hard time imagining what I would actually use this for.
