[Q] Can someone please help me... PLEASE... - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have been trying to delete these apps off of my Note3. When I delete or uninstall them they re-appear after I reboot my phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this has me completely stumped. Thank You....

i don't remember those apk's specifically tho. not sure where you got that stuff. do you know what it is?

You've been visiting naughty sites!
Try force stop before uninstalling.

Daily motion, lucky patcher, etc. I tried to force stop before uninstalling and that didn't work. No naughty sites.

Looks like these are on your SD card. Did you try backing up internal storage, removing external SD then delete? Might have to do some SD house cleaning!

No I haven't tried that. What would be the process?

Backup internal storage to PC, then go to settings/general/storage and select format SD card. Do the same with your external SD but use a card reader with your PC. Delete the apps again and reboot. Hopefully the rouge apps will not reappear. Then copy the files you know back into internal storage. Try not to over write anything in internal storage unless you're sure you know what it is. Same for external. Format SD card then copy back the files from the backup you made. If you're not sure about a file, don't copy it back to storage. Hopefully this will take care of the issue. It's also good to clean stuff from storage that serves no purpose. Good luck!

Just delete the secured android folder from your sd card

If I format my internal sd without backing it up what will I lose? Im not worried about anything on it getting lost.

Everything you see in that directory when you view it on a computer.. You will loose all photos, music, games and any other personal data or apps you have downloaded or installed. You will basically have a new phone with only stock apps and data on it.

@Solarenemy68, thank you. Will I lose my root?

[CWM][Script]Storage Swap for 4.2 ROMs

I modified the original script to work for our mount, and then put it in a flashable to flash after flashing a ROM to have storage swapped right away after booting. No need to manually move the script to /system/etc/init.d any more.
Let me know if there's any issues.
Thanks to original script author and others who figured out what mounts are which.
DOWNLOAD
Script info:
extsd2internalsd is a modification that allows to switch internal sd to external sd and viceversa. With this you can use default internal sd only for app storage and the external sd to store all apps resource and all others stuff. The result is a very big increase of installable apps on your device.
All credits to Mattiadj of xda forum for the idea and script and to mike1986 for the cmw zip.
Script Modified for U.S. Galaxy S3s by Zedomax at GalaxyS3Root.com to be compatible when sdcard is not inserted.
This is ONLY for 4.2 custom ROMs with unlocked boot loaders of course. Not tested with stock 4.1 or CM10 (4.1) You are welcome to try it though and let me know the results.
Do i flash it right after the gapps if i am i stalling aokp?

I lost all of my game data. I have TB but I can seem to get it to stick with root explore. I'll format both sdcard and the external , reinstal the zip and hope that I can get it back.

If you formated both sdcards you pretty much deleted everything you had there mate.

To me both of my cards still showing on cwm. How i tell if the job was done correctly. The attachment show no changes for internal but external is not there anymore as it reads internal space

I can't get 4.2 to read the storage in settings correctly. I put a specially named folder on my external SD card and when it shows up as internal I know it works. You won't be able to see the external SD anymore which is now technically the internal.
Formatting SD cards won't make any difference here. All were doing is telling the system one is the other.

I have my game data on my computer, I can't seem to make it stick so I can restore my games to where I was last playing.
I haven't formated anything. After I flashed the zip my data went away, but on the other hand I can see the data folders in root explorer.

To undo just delete the script in /system/etc/init.d
This isn't doing anything obtrusive guys its just placing the script for you is all.
Its recommended you do this after a clean install of whatever ROM you run.
As for the game save data I will swap the storage and then OPEN each game to make it create the corresponding folders and then restore
Does it work on 4.1.2 Mexico Retail debloated?
What if i have apps installed and my mmry card is also filled?
Seeing as how it says 4.2 roms only what do you think man? You can try it to see if it works though. You really want to do it on a fresh rom install.

Working like a charm, thanks dude :good:
Anyone have a problem installing apps with this script? Every time I try it give me an error Not Installed

Side loading from the SD card gives me problems yeah. I actually went back to default and just use the symlink method for Google music.

nope, everything will work, but i recommend you to move contents of sdcard/0 folder back to sdcard, so you don't have duplicate data files which would serve nothing but eating up memory.

External SD Card.. issues deleting files.

So I have a bunch of movie files and tv show files on my external sd card. I have it in my s5 watch from it. When I am done with them and try to delete the file.. it tells me that it cannot delete files due to some security changes in kitkat.
any way to get around this?

Where are the files from? Did you download them from a PC and transfer to SD or get them through an android app like Google Play Movies? I have read that kit Kat has new security features meaning apps don't have complete access to the SD card. It is possible the card thinks a malicious app is attempting to remove files even though you are telling it to delete them and rejecting the command, for security reasons. I am unaware of this issue since I have not seen it happen on my phone. Try to plug your phone into a computer USB and delete through the PC operating system instead of directly through the phone.

The stock My Files app can erase from the external sd. If you're rooted there is an sdfix app which will enable all apps to access the external.

If phone is rooted, install app like root explorer and delete.
If phone is not rooted, try deleting them using stock Gallery app or Files app.
Kitkat, by default, imposes restrictions on 3rd party apps from deleting data on SD card.
