Here are the ODIN files if y'all want to directly flash your AT&T Galaxy S4 Active to 4.3 (I537UCUBML2). I soft bricked my phone trying to restore it using oneclick. So after hours of digging online, I found these files and they worked perfectly.
Use at your own risk.
Instructions:
BACK UP YOUR FILES FIRST. THIS WILL ERASE EVERYTHING AND YOU WILL LOSE ROOT!!!!!
1. Download files from the links in the attached text file.
2. Download ODIN. I used 3.04.
3. Put phone in download mode by holding vol. down + home + power and then hit volume up to continue
4. Select the appropriate files to flash (look at the attached s4a_odin.jpg file)
5. Hit start and wait. The first reboot will take a while.
Check the text file for the link. I537UCUBML2 (includes all files).7z contains everything you need except for ODIN. The individual files are also available in that folder just in case you need a specific one.
New links are up as of 01/27/14!

**The AP file is still uploading. I'm tired, so I'll post it when I wake up. It should be finished uploading by then**

This is super helpful. Any chance you can find the MF3 files as well? We're currently stuck with pre-release MF1 and no way to upgrade. If we could get MF2 or 3, it'd be really helpful for those of us who don't want to go to 4.3 just yet. By the way, where were you able to find ML2, I've been looking for it for awhile now.
EDIT: Also try using http://www.androidfilehost.com/, they allow large files.
is there a root for this ?

Just a heads up, you might to upload that Dropbox file somewhere else, it's generating too much traffic and cannot be accessed anymore. Also here's the link to the original files (http://www.samsung-file.com/index.php?dir=/Model_I/I537_%28SGH-I537%29).

I'm downloading the files from samsung-file as we speak. I have about an hour left on the download and will upload it to a site and I will post back with a link to the file. Seems as if nobody wanted to pay on the site to download the files lol which is perfect for me because I already have an account on that site. :victory:

I am wondering what is the MG2T firmware (4.2.2) listed on the site. http://www.samsung-file.com/index.p...oid_4.2.2/I537UBUAMG2_I537TCEAMG2_I537UBUAMG2
I wonder if that would provide an upgrade path for some people that were stuck on MF1.
I believe that's for the Mexican version. I'm not 100% positive, though.

New links are up! Check the original post for details. I hope SkyDrive doesn't have low bandwidth limits like Dropbox.
I537UBUAMG2 is the Mexican firmware. Don't quote me on this, but I remember reading somewhere that flashing this will not work.

1.Your Device must be in DOWNLOAD mode to use ODIN.
2.Get your phone into Download mode by holding vol down and power.
3.THEN connect your phone to the USB. (some folks have had luck doing it in reverse..connecting the USB then Power and vol down)
4.Open Odin and load each file with it's corresponding field..PIT,PDA,CSC etc. (In this case we just use the PDA and PIT)
5.Don't check anything else, the other two boxes should be checked by default (Auto Reboot and Reset Time)
6.Hit "start"! be patient!
NOTE: COM3 worked fine for me. COM should not matter as long as you are using the correct drivers.

To Restore
1. Make sure you have clockwork recovery installed (To get Clockwork see this thread)
2. Extract files to /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/
3. Boot into recovery and select NANDroid and restore
Make sure to check USB debugging to enable ADB access after a restore.
This has been confirmed as WORKING before I uploaded. Any issues please post in this thread. Check MD5 as always after a download.
This will allow those that got stuck on a pre-release or EU ROM to go back to the shipped release TMO ROM for the Vibrant (JFD)
All the thanks goes to Koush for getting fakeflash working on the Vibrant allowing this to happen.
Came from the pre-release?

Hi Nimche and all
Here is the post by caqo71 from the thread started by Kistigun (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1115542&page=12):
----------------------
UPDATE: Ok I found the file. It gets stored in Phone Memory at "/cache/recovery/fota", and the file is named "update_package", and it's size is 44.44MB
----------------------
Seems it was extracted after the download but before the update process.
Would be great if someone could say what to do with this file as I can't get the update via OTA for some reason (which I'm trying to do as per the Kistigun thread so I can get root AND 2.3.3).
Cheers

when i unzip there is 4 tar files. i did the biggest one but i think im missing the bootloader, recovery ect. please help anyone ive tried different stock firmwares on xda and all of them just fail. thanks guys.
What method are you using to flash? Odin or safestrap? Do you have safestrap installed?

It might be the actual stock ROM (I didn't check that particular file you mentioned) but in general the stock ROM for this phone comes in four files which begin with the following:
AP, CP, CSC, BL
You can load those in their corresponding spots in Odin (BL in bootloader, and so on)
Or you can head over to sammobile and download the stock firmware, which is a Samsung Kies dump file. This is one giant tar ball ( like the one in the video) which you'll just load into the PDA section of Odin 3.09 and flash away.
When you're clicking on ODIN are you running it as Admin? Also see the guy in the video using a USB 2 cable.
yes i am running as admin. it only works when i only use pda. when i put in the bl and csc and cp is keeps failing. after if flashed the pda file the phone reboots and freezes on the samsung screen. should i try doing it one by one?
it wont work still failing. should i flash one by one?
I did but i cant load it. i only get to the samesung logo and it freezes. only thing i can get into is download mode and the stock recovery. is there a way to boot into safestrap when phone is off? im running out of ideas and ive tried to do it on different computers and cords.
it seems like the bootloader file is the only one not working. do you have any idea? please please please help guys

Download the G900A_Downgrade_to_NCE.rar. Unzip and you should get this file "G900A_Downgrade_to_NCE.tar.md5". Now Run Odin 3.09 as admin, and put your phone in download mode. In Odin click on the AP icon and point to the G900A_Downgrade_to_NCE.tar.md5. Wait until Odin finishes loading the file it takes some time. Plug usb cable to your phone while in download mode. Once Odin is ready click start. Wait until Odin is done. Your phone will reboot once the flash is done. Please Thank @muniz_ri for his hard work.
Yea. Prolly should have checked this forum before you went on the journey.

Now, Instead of making sarcastic comments, I will provide some assistance. There is one thing left out of all of these tutes that took me a while to catch on to. As a result, my phone was doing the same thing.
When you follow the downgrade instructions, yes leave out the boot loader. Sometimes, the downgrade doesn't do the job properly, so you'll have to go to this thread, scroll to the very bottom post and you'll see a link for "G900A_NCE_Stock_Modem"
You will need to flash this along with the stock firmware. It should correct the boot issue. (Flash in PDA slot)
Furthermore, you will not be able to update via WiFi OTA. You'll have to download the official update files in .zip format.
Go to this thread for the " G900A_NCEtoNG3_OTA.zip" to update from NCE to NG3.
This next step is optional, but it won't hurt to try it. Go here and grab the stock NG3 modem and recovery. Flash each (one at a time) in the PDA slot.
My personal opinion of the 4.4.4 update is low. There are many issues with it. But if you're trying get the phone completely up to date then:
Go here for the final update.
You should now be set. Please thank @muniz_ri for his unrelenting dedication to helping others.
It is not my intention to be an ass, but you should begin with google, and then search entire AT&T forum before posting questions like this. Chances are, others have had the same problem, asked, and received a solution exactly like this.
Anyways, I hope I was able to guide you in the right direction...
Edit: It seems that both of the update zips are in the OA1 root guide thread.
P.S.
Your phone is from AT&T, right?
Well, another device, another round of TOT files that I need to pull.

Hello, here "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=737594 " is a list of epst codes A.k.A ## codes.
I know some of theses work with the LG.. my favorite is the "##3282##" hopefully you can find the one you need in the forum there.
As for the flashing a rom from sd card .. in the stock recovery there is the option to "apply update from SD Card"
As a disclaimer i am not responsible for what happens to your phone for using the above info..use it at your own risk....i know i do!

Just released! http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/development/megalock-dll-lg-flash-tool-2-0-1-6-t3367222
YAY!!!!! now we just need the dll for our phone to get it to work right. and a way to properly extract the files out of the .tot file
Well I have good news. I got LGup to flash the your .tot file, Garwynn. a bit of a headache but it worked. I'll be posting my work here and a few other places. Here's how:
1. Install LG flash tool from ieatacid from here and make sure you can open it with no issues and see where you can choose the .dll for whatever phone you have (this isn't the program needed but the program needed needs a few of the dlls from it).
2. Install the LGbridge setup from here and let it update. Need this for the proper drivers. while it is installing DO NOT have phone plugged into USB port or it will warn ya.
3. install the LG up lab framework 1.11 and the LGH850_DLL file from here
4. Download and extract the LGUP.zip file from here
5. Install the .reg file and put the LS992 folder in the LG Electronics\LGUP\model folder which will be either in C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86) depending on whether you have a 32 or 64 bit windows installed
6. Put phone in download mode ( Phone off, vol up while plugging in usb from PC), start LGUP
7. Make sure you see a com # and phone model and at the bottom where it says BIN, select it, at which point you should see 3 dot on the right, select it and choose the .tot file listed above, then hit start and wait for the magic.
I give creds to autoprime for his good work, garwynn for the .tot file, and ieatacid for his LGFlashtool. and if I missed anyone, I am giving you credits and apologizing for not mentioning you

Hello guys!!
I have LG G5 model : ls992
I want to root it, there is no TWRP recovery available for this version. I tried different apps like king root, kingo root and 10+ more from different websites but all get failed. What can i do to root my phone. Please any one help!!
I've followed the instructions on how to pull the OTA files for my S5 Active on AT&T (G870A). I have the file as a .zip and it seems to have the right things for an update in the archive. Size is 929MB.
TL;DR - See reply #7 for download link.
My AndroidFileHost account is not for a developer, so I can't upload yet. I've requested access to upload. I'm currently uploading to Google Drive, but it will about an hour until that is completed. I'll follow up tomorrow, but the end is in sight. I'm running 6.0.1 on my S5 Active and it seems to be doing alright. Definitely less bloatware than the 5.1.1 build.
I will post updates to this thread as I have them.
Edit: same bloatware
My ISP keeps taking me offline about 200MB into the upload to Google Drive. Maybe they think I'm torrenting Mr. Robot S2E9 or something. I'll try dropbox next or wait for AndroidFileHost to give me upload rights.
You can split file using WinRAR.
Right click on your file and select "Add files to archive"
In the opened window, give a new name to your to-be-split file (e.g. G870A_6.rar). Under "Compression Method", select "Store".
Input your desired value inside "Split to volumes, bytes" box, about 100-200Mb
Click OK and you're done.

I wouldn't split the files, considering it's a file that needs to be flashed, too many opportunities for corruption.
With that said, I think Dropbox is your best choice. You could also give zippyshare a shot, it's a fairly popular hosting site with straight forward downloads (ie. No misdirection on download buttons, pop-ups, etc).
Edit
Also, thanks a ton for this, I've been waiting and waiting for someone to upload a zip of the Ota for the Active.
I was able to use the desktop Google Drive sync and I believe the file is intact. Uploading via HTTP is not very reliable.
I'm checking the link now before posting it. Should be ready in an hour or so.

I'm not sure if it's even possible, or if you'd be willing, but it'd be nice to get a checksum created from your original capture. Then we could download the uploaded capture and checksum to verify it's intact.
Here you go
I downloaded on my Mac and unzipped. The archive seems intact. For your flashing pleasure...

I guess I should add an 800x200 signature GIF detailing all the ROMs I run with a request for thanks. Are XDA 'thanks' better than Reddit gold?

Thank you for the reminder. I edited my previous comment to include the MD5. This was the file off the card, previously named desc.bin, prior to upload.

Awesome!!!
If there was xda gold, you'd be getting it bud, thanks a lot!!!
Now that I finally have the option, I'm really debating whether I'm ready to lose root or not. Another thing, since I'm on of3, I'm not even certain I can use this to update, as you have to be on pa2, 3, or 6?
I no longer have AT&T, nor have those updates been released as flashable zips, so maybe I don't have an option after all. Lol

I was in the same boat. I had to plug in an AT&T SIM to let it get the update. It was on PB5, so it had to go to PB6 and then PH2. I didn't think to try to recover the PB6 update. Sorry.

Well, I no longer have an active AT&T sim card, so I'm likely out of luck, but thanks anyways.
What if I flash PH2 on the OJ3?
is this an ota update from pb1, pb3, or pb6? also I'm still on OJ3, anyone know where I can find a way to update from that.

You guys can try, my guess is it will fail, I'm in the same boat, think we need to be on pb* for it to flash.
Give it a shot and report back, quite a few people are curious, myself included. Worst case, it'll fail and you have to reboot.
Edit
I should add, I would try, but I'm still on of3 and not certain I want to lose root, but you guys already have. If it works, I'll definitely contemplate updating. Good luck!
How would you actually flash this? adb sideload? Put on device and install via recovery? I'm in the same boat and currently stuck on OC5 in Germany without ATT service.

I was on PB5 originally and it wouldn't update. I took an AT&T SIM out of another phone and let it run through the update path. The first thing it went to was PB6 which was 200MB+. The AT&T site mentions that it has to be one of those three to get the update to PH2. After that, the big download started.

As mentioned, it may not work, but to try, rename it to update.zip and flash via stock recovery.

I tried that already, filename doesn't really matter. I looked into the files itself and this update is mostly patches from a previous version so unless you're on one of the approved previous versions this probably won't work unfortunately.
Does anyone have any pointers towards the other OTA updates? If I knew I could just order an AT&T Sim card and proceed through them I would extract every single one of them myself and post them here. Unfortunately I don't even know if an AT&T card will do anything useful here in Germany.

I have scoured every corner of the internet looking for those files, to no avail. And unfortunately, you are correct, I don't believe that it would do any good in Germany.
I'm glad I at least have root, for those stuck on oj3, I'd be pretty upset. Anybody able to get us a required pb* Ota capture, please do, you'd be a hero!
