[Q] Restore Stock ROM - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
Noob here. I installed the Cyanogenmod yesterday on my HTC One using the Mac Installer. Everything went smoothly, but didn't like it, prefered the stock Sense 5.5 feel.
So I started going back to Sense 5.5.
But I'm stuck.
Here's what I have:
TAMPERED
RELOCKED
S-ON
HBOOT-1.55
OS-3.62.401.1
But thing is, I have no idea if I successfully flashed the ROM or not nor the recovery.img. When I enter bootload and select Recovery the HTC shuts down, so I guess it isn't fully installed.
Moreover, when I try to flash the recovery.img I get a Terminal error saying it cannot open 'recovery.img'.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and sorry for my noobness.

Fastboot getvar all output? Remove Imei/sn
Adb/fastboot working?
sent from my mobile device

Small update,
Managed to install Clockworkmod, but when i tried to flash the stock rom using fastboot (adb doesn't work, device not shown even though all drivers are installed) i got an error.
Gonna try to flash Android Revolution HD to see if it works, will report back.

So, flashed clockworkmod.
I dont care if I cant get my HTC One to stock, just want it to work.
Wanted to flash Android Revolution 4.3 to my phone, but adb doesnt want to work.
Windows says that the HTC Driver is up to date, version 2.0.7.23.
Rebooted Windows 8 but adb is still not working.
Any help would be greatful,
Thanks.

Need help getting my phone working again.

Hi all.
I have CWM Touch installed, but I can't run ADB Sideload to flash a ROM. I just keep getting an error that the device can't be found. I have no OS installed, so my phone won't boot up. I can't access the phone's memory as that doesn't work with the One. I also can't flash a RUU to return to factory settings as I have S-ON and am on HBOOT 1.54.Is there anything I can do to fix this and get my phone back working?
Many thanks.

First try to reinstall you Drives for ADB and HTC so you know it's not a Driver issue. If that doesn't work try using a different PC and see if you still get the same issues.
And also try using HTC One AIO to flash TWRP or something to see if you can Sideload a rom then. Because AIO toolkit uses the fastboot menu to flash Recovery images.
If you can flash a different Recovery then try to flash a rom and see if that works.
If not let me know what the results are

Got it! Thank you. I reinstalled the drivers. Weird though because ADB was working fine before. The drivers must have corrupted or maybe it's a Windows 8 issue. Sideloading the ROM now, will let you know if it is a success.

out of ideas can someone help please >??

right i got a htc one today and tried to root it by watching a youtube video which basically told me to flash twrp v2.6.3.3 > do a nandroid backup > then hit reboot then when it tells me im not rooted swipe across to root the phone , did all that and since then it just keeps booting into twrp no matter what i try , i can get to fastboot usb / bootloader menu ok and i can install recovery i cant mount anything to drop a rom on to flash to get me going and when i restore the backup i made that just reboots back to recovery also , i have an unlocked bootloader and im not s-off , i cant sideload / push files as adb says "cant find device" htc mtp drivers never install and always fail , maybe i need the boot.img from my backup to get it to boot properly as im not s-off ?? even so i cant get at it to try , ive looked for a ruu but cant find one for my firmware "android 4.3 / sense 5.5" , im not a noob as been flashing roms since htc desire came out but got myself in a tricky situation at present ...... any advice or help would be much appreciated , thanks in advance

I'm in a boot loop, ADB not working

Hello everyone,
Sorry I'm kind of a noob (obviously since I messed up my phone!). I unlocked my bootloader, installed TWRP, and rooted my phone. Stupidly, I flashed a stock 4.4 rom without doing S-OFF and am in a boot loop now. I was going to flash another ROM but can't get one on my phone. I tried to use TWRP to mount my SD card but, it couldn't mount my SD card. When I tried ADB it says no devices found. I've updated HTC Sync manager and the Android SDK manager but it still hasn't worked! Can you guys give me some help!?
What OS do you have on your computer?when you go to TWRP on your phone and type Adb devices in a command prompt does it no devices found?

Ok I feel a bit stupid... so i noticed on the device manager that the phone wasn't "installed properly". Updating automatically didn't work so I did a manual update and seemed to work. I installed Android Revolution HD 31.6 but now I'm stuck on the htc one boot screen.
I'm on Windows 8.1 and it said "device not found" previously

could you post the output of fastboot getvar all (without IMEI/sn) when in bootloader/fastboot usb mode plz? Also are you using twrp 2.6.3.3?
Can you do a factory reset in twrp and try again?

I reinstalled the ROM and everything is working now! Can't believe I spent 4hrs on this and then once I post a thread I figure it out! Thanks for the help though!

[Q] Stuck in bootloader, bricked?

Hey guys! I'm kinda stumped here. :crying:
I wanted to restore my phone back to the stock developer edition RUU (Brightstar US) but it threw an error 155. So I tried the Google Play Edition RUU but I guess I should of downloaded a newer version because mine was on 4.3. As usual it asked to flash the file again but it didn't work. (waiting to device)..
The GPE bootloader was already flashed with the OS: coloured red. Fastboot commands wouldn't work so I boot up into Android and I thought of flashing the ENG HBOOT via ADB. Which worked. Alas fastboot commands still won't work and I can't get my device to boot into anything else except into the bootloader.
If you need more information just ask. Any help is greatly appreciated! :fingers-crossed:

Thanks for helping me out. I couldn't enter recovery before. But I may be able to get the fastboot drivers working and flash CWM. :highfive:
I'll let you know how it goes. :good:

[Q] Stuck while Flashing

I got my HTC One for 8 months now, i unlocked and flashed it with Andoird Reolution HD 12.0 back then, now as i wanted to perorm an update to 52.0 i tried to do it as usual, download the zip moved it to the "SD"-Card of the Phone and installed it via Clockwerkmod (latest Version). As the installation was complete i wanted to reboot the device and now im stuck in loading screen. If I turn the Phone off i can press recovery in the bootloader menu but it doesnt load in to Clockwerkmod. Does somebody have a solution to this Problem? What happens if I just perform a factory reset in the Bootloader?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit: i tried to flash the recovery manually using fastboot while using the manual from androidforums (cant post the actual link as im new to xda)
I followed the steps but now im stuck in cmd where its searching for devices, but it wont find one. as my phone is ****ed up and i dont have a working OS i did not turn off the Fastboot option in the settings. Is this the reason why its not working? Appreciate any ideas. :S

I'm not sure about CWM, but I know you need the latest versions of TWRP to work with KitKAt Roms. If you can get fastboot getvar all to work pls post so we can see where the phone is at.
If it's searching for devices, try removing and reinstalling the htc sync drivers. Get the newest version as well.
