I don't know mate, that's serious thing - it will, most probably end with a unusable device.
Try to remember where did you found that and what original web said.
Tnx

*sigh*
You found that zip here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39178406#post39178406
It is used only to fix the status being incorrectly changed to No when using the goroh_kun method to root. It does not make a non-unlockable bootloader into an unlockable bootloader.
What is the point in giving false hope with some random zip when you cannot remember where you found it or what it's even for?
Don't you guys think if there was a method to achieve the unlocking of a non-unlockable bootloader, that it wouldn't be stickied in this forum/the development section?
There is no way currently and may never be, as -
- The security used is extremely tight, with multiple security checks all reliant on each other. The bootloader unlock status is stored in the TA partition, therefore any attempt to bypass this security may end in hard bricking your device.
- I'm not sure anyone is even working on breaking it currently. If they are, then they're keeping quiet about it.

It can be changed (re-flash bootloader) by official Sony service center but there is no exploit. If you ask nicely they might be able to do it for you.
No possible, sorry.

Hi guys,
I have a question about bootloader unlocking. I know it doesn't unlock the carrier, so I've contacted Three UK and they're obtaining a code for my Xperia X8 that I bought on PAYG which will be £15.34 and can take up to 2 weeks.
My question is that if I go ahead and unlock the bootloader so that I can put newer kernels in (and therefore newer ROMs), will it remove the unlock code they gave me in any form, or will my phone always stay unlocked?
Also, if it goes back to locked, can I use that same code from Three and just unlock it again?
Thanks guys.
Also, I assume if anything goes wrong I can use the Pc Companion to practically wipe back to manufacturers kernel/rom/BL/settings?
You guys can't keep posting the Same question.
Anyway, your phone will get locked original network
Sent from my X8 using XDA
I believe if you use code to unlock SIM you' ll have phone same as one that was never locked. And none of your actions should lock it again.
It would be nice if somebody experienced confirm this, though.

I didn't intend to ask the same question again. I did use the search so I apologise if it's already been asked but I'd love a definitive answer.
My guess is that either way, my IMEI will stay the same of course so in theory the same code could be used numerous times on the phone regardless. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I think I understand from your post that after unlocking BL it'll revert to original carrier lock? Same code or?

You didn't loser bravia engine, but you did lose your drm keys, and this can be spotted real easy.
They just need to hookup your device with Emma and it will say if you still have drm keys, and thus unlocked the bootloader sometime in the past.
Drm keys are not recoverable.
Luckily here in the Netherlands they aren't that strict in bootloader unlock xD

Really !? I live in the Netherlands, The Hague, i bought my xperia T via marktplaats (you know what it is) The dude had it from T-mobile(saw the rom) And i unlocked bootloader and got CM10.1 on it, so where do i send it so they wont rage about it ?
I just locked it first and send it to T-Mobile itself since I have a contract with them.
After a month i got a new phone xD
But my case was a non working touchscreen (which I learned later was probably recoverable in another way)
But I don't know if your case will result in the same result ofcourse.

Hello guys,
I want to know a little more about unlocking my bootloader.
In thi guide stands that it will wipe my DRM keys forever and I can't use some sony apps anymore and bravia engine.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2153261
However, on the official sony site, they don't speak about the los of DRM keys.
http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/
Who tell the truth? And what should i do?
Edited.
The partition with the DRM keys on it can be backed up in order to restore them when relocking the bootloader.
See - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2234627
Read the thread carefully though, as the method carries a possibility of hard bricking your device if the wrong steps are taken.
Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk 2
My Bad, I wasn't aware of that. So please read carefully, what @kingvortex mentioned above.
Ah thanks guys. Ill take a look
Backing up TA partition is still a bit in testing stage, i personally wouldn't unlock your bl yet intill you feel you are happy with what you are doing
With a locked BL it is harder to hard brick, worst is soft brick or bootloop which both with a bit of help can always be brought back to life

Then you're the only person in existence with an unlocked bootloader that also has BE2 working.
The fact is that if you have an unlocked bootloader, BE2 and several other features cannot be working. Ever.

The difference between 6602 and 6603 is the LTE radio. Nothing to do with the bootloader or DRM.
Just look in the service menu and see if your DRM keys are intact or not. I guarantee you that they are not.

Yawn, Another thread about a firmware certification.
Please understand that just because a firmware gets certified it does not mean it will get released, or that it fixes any bugs, or that's it better than previous releases, or even a higher version. All talk of this is pure speculation unless you happen to be a member of the Sony development team who worked on that particular firmware.
And do we really need a whole thread about every certification? Personally I think not.
Better be 4.2.2, probably just a normal minor update
It's not 4.2.2, that would be something like 10.1.x.x (see e.g. on the Z). And indeed, firmware certification is nothing to make a fuzz about, most won't even make it to a real update.
