Did you tried to change location settings?

In what way? I'm also using Google experience launcher.

settings--> location
then disable wifi and mobile data location

My battery is charging now, when it hits 100% I'll test it. One other thing- since rooting and installing stock the battery seems to charge way faster now. Is this normal or is it a problem with my battery?

After 5 min, with WiFi and location data off, I played a bit of a game. Here is what happened. Battery down to 91%. Android system took 84% the game (its 2d) took 4 percent, and the screen took 2%. Any thoughts?

download a battery management app so you can seen exactly what is draining your battery. With stock htc battery app, it show me android system is draining my battery, but with other app I can pinpoint what is draining my battery. Maybe try this one

Done. Apparently android ui is taking 50% of my battery.

One other thing- I tried to use ART to save battery but it wouldn't enable- when I enabled it would rest at and still be using dalvik. This is with xposed, gravitybox uninstalled. Why does this happen?

Strange battery drain

Hi all! First of all sorry for my english
I've bought my xperia z few days ago and I am experiencing a very low battery life, even without using the device too much. First thing I noticed (when I fully charged the device for the first time) was the the standby time approximately only 5 hours with stamina mode (!!!) and a huge battery drain, something like 1% every 2-3 minutes with only mobile connection (GSM) activated and some browsing (no flash only text), no bravia engine, no video, no application in background, lowest possible light screen and of course stamina mode. After about 2 hours 60% of battery remained. Now I have about 5% and I used it for about 20 minutes of browsing, some game (2D), and nothing more.
I ran a test on the battery but seems in good health.
I should re-calibrate my battery?
N.B.
When I bought it I have used it until the discharge (10-5%) of battery then I've made partial charge up to 50-60% then discharge again (10-5%), afterwards a full charge of about 5-6 hours. Can this have damaged the battery?

did you update to .434? because some users say that they got a battery drain when they updated to this version,
anyways, ill give you a solution that works for me,,, install " snapdragon batery guru" really helps alot , and you will noticed some battery improvements, much better than the power management mode,
p.s. dont use it on gaming to much, and dont remove it to charger often ( even when its not fully charged yet)
If the service test say the, battery is fine, it probably is.
Have you tried factory reset?
It sounds like some app is keeping the device awake (and very active)
Try providing some more info, like battery stats.
You should install wakelock detector or better battery stats and see if there's a bad app. And solve it with greenify or uninstall
Sorry I'm quite noob on android, xperia is my first android device I'm coming from symbian
Yes I updated on .434
For the apps keeping awake, I only saw the "battery usage" menu ad it says: Display 46%, Chrome 11%, Android System 11%, Media Server 10%, Standby 4%
Well to begin with de activate chrome, and all syncing.
Settings > accounts > press account & de activate all automatic synchronisation.
For chrome go to apps > all apps > chrome > deactivate.
Then go to play store download dolphin browser

Charge it and see if battery had improved, it should've , charge it to like 20 see how much drains for 60 minutes without using it. Should be 0% or 1%

ok ill try. Some friends told me to fully discharge then recharge for about 12 hours, can this work?
Another thing, I saw some screen of estimated standby time of xperias in the forum, they are all around 1 day, but mine even with a 100% full charge says only 5 hours, what can be?

4.2 seems to be more power hungry than previous versiond - try wiping battery stats (though that wouldn't help in all probability) and see if anything is preventing device from sleeping

One night I charged my phone up to 100% for about 2 hours. I then disconnected it at about 12am. The following morning it had dropped down to 29% I had absolutely everything turned off.
Why??
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda app-developers app
this wakelock seems to be the issue
any suggestions ?

Cm10.1 for me has better battery life than stock, from with a full charge in the morning though out the day I've made about an hour in phone calls played a few games. Its now 11pm for me and I'm still on 80%. Make sure you have data turned off while not using it and use the lowest screen brightness possible, those are main things that drain my battery.
I have installed better battery stats and cpu watch app and I'll charge it tonight and leave it overnight to see what's draining all the power
jb 4.2.x is a battery eater. on my old phone, the nexus s, 4.2.x performed really bad on battery life while 4.1.x was just great.

[Q] High battery drain: any suggestions?

Greetings everyone!
I have a M7 with an Android HD Revolution 51.0 with LTE always on (of course switched to wi-fi when possible) and bluetooth (due to the Pebble).
I have a really huge battery drain issue: of course, I'm not willing the phone to last forever, not even 15 hrs with LTE and Bluetooth almost everytime on, but my M7 can't even last for 5 or 6 hrs.
I've also thought to return to stock but could that change the battery's life?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks! So, essentialy GSAM Battery Monitor says that there a 34% usage by the display (it usually is at these percentages) and a 70% used by "Kernel(Android OS)"

[Q] Very poor battery

I just sideloaded 5.1 and I use Battery widget pro.
After 5.1 when I unplug my device this widget tells me I have 8 hours of battery left.
Even on 5.0 my battery seemed pretty poor but at least it would be at 12 to 14. I just don't get how it can be that bad.
Sometimes after turning it off then back on the battery level will adjust to something higher.
Is this possibly an app issue draining my battery? Anyone have any tips suggestions?
Best,
Ryan

Let it run for a day and see how much battery life you actually get. Maybe let it drain all the way out once and recharge it to 100%. I know when I ran custom ROMs on my Nexus devices, it would take a couple of days before the battery stats adjusted and displayed correct info. I once had a battery meter say 1% for about an hour before my phone died after switching to a new ROM.
How did it go? I noticed massive battery draining wakelocks on 5.1, related to phone and location. Without Xposed I don't know how to control them.
Cheers!

Android m Google play service drain

Anyone else ???
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Free mobile app
Mine is at 9%.
how did you pull that off?!
first battery cycle with m, it was high, and my phone never slept. second battery cycle, and it only reached 1% battery drain, and I had 4+ hours sot at 61% battery. btw, I'm using the permissions option, and am not allowing location for any of my apps that dont need it. also, I disabled background data for google play services.
