HP makes the best overall. Hate to say this, second is the Apple 10W. Both are better than stock. The problem with the HP is you can't find it locally, and everyone else sells it for around $30. Whatever you do, don't buy a cheap fake. Below is a link to help you with this decision.

It was cheap so it wasn't a horrible gamble. Checked them when they came in and they're identical to one that came with my touchpad. If it's a fake, it's a very very good fake.

didnt think this thread was still alive lol. Well I ended up buying a Monoprice 2.1a wall charger that has 4 usb ports and a cable from them. Cost me maybe $9 for both, works great and charges as fast as stock. Hightly recommended!. Also there 2.1a car charger is awesome too.

monoprice.com website has it for cheap and charges less than 2hrs

just as other have said I use my hp touchpad charger. I use it to charge all my stuff. I have 2 extra because I got them all at a good price. You can still find them for about 25 bucks

Those are alright haven't had anyone return them. I own one that I used for my ipad they get pretty warm if you use the device heavily while charging though. Plus I get an employee discount woohoo lol.

Cheap 11 pin MHL on amazon for $10

I was looking for a cheap 11 pin since the genuine one wasnt worth for how little I plan to use it and I took a shot at this one after seeing some good reviews with s3 users.
since i am new user I cant post links. goto amazon and search for "Skque Micro USB to HDMI 11-Pin MHL Adapter for Samsung Galaxy S3 SIII i9300 i9308 i939". it should be $5 with $4 shipping
It arrived today and worked right out of the box with my note 2. no jiggling cables and no interference. Who know how it work in the long run but i doubt i will use this more then a few times so, its def worth my $10.

it need to be plugged in to power supply to be usable so yes. theres a plug on the side of the adapter to connect it to the power

Mines finally came in the mail hooked it up and doesnt work idk if i got a reject plug it in and it charges but no picture on the tv

Just got mine in the mail little over an hour ago. Took 1 week to arrive via USPS. Works fine, lags? or refreshes? every now and then. But for $30+ cheaper than the one I was going to order from Samsung, who cares. Netflix, Youtube, and browser work fine. Time Warner app and HBOGO don't support HDMI yet. Video games work great with minimal lag. NFS Most Wanted is AWSOME!!!, as good as any console. How well does this one charge when you plug it into the stock charger?
I ordered the one on amazon labeled "Skiva MHL Micro USB to male HDMI cable (6.5 feet) for Samsung Galaxy S3 (SIII LTE i9300 i535) and Samsung Note 2 Smarphones (HD-X3)". It's complete junk. Even when I connected it to the stock charger it would still slowly lose charge with the screen on the lowest setting. I guess the way that cable is setup it limits it to 500ma. It also randomly disconnects every minute or so I'm going to send it back on Monday.
I'm tempted to just suck it up and just buy the OEM cable from Samsung.

received it today and it's not working. yes i connected the official power supply and cable to it. tried multiple tvs with multiple inputs and multiple hdmi cables. no picture or sound or anything. do i need to be rooted or anything (cuz i'm not)?

I got the samsung oem for around $11 new on ebay, I think he's still selling a bunch of them. The one for the s3 works on the n2. I'd post the link if I was allowed to.

Which Monoprice one did you get? They seem to have 2 of the MHL items (and I can't find their 11 to 5 pin adapter at all).
Their MHL Item Numbers are 8675 and 9291.
EDIT: There is a link to the 11 to 5 pin adapter on the page for one of the MHL items, but it takes you to the home page. The item ID embedded in the web link appears to be 9716. Searching for that Item ID doesn't work either.

Sorry to resurrect this thread but I'm looking for a nexus 7 2012 charging dock. The charging port is damaged again (I've already replaced it once) which is probably a mixture of kids not looking after things but also asus not using good parts.
When i looked for a dock on Amazon and ebay it seems that they aren't even selling second hand.
Any ideas where to buy? Someone in here mentioned just buying the pogo pins, what can be done with just these?

I believe this thread is dead. The thing about buying pogo pins is just that you have to solder it yourself. I for one am not good in the DIY soldering section so I'll pass on that. And also because the dock has somehow became a limited edition item, the pricing has increased to a very unreasonable state to me.

What are pogo pins?
im having the same problem with my Nexus 7 port it just naffed up with normal use and most of the docks use the usb to charge it so thats out of the window.
There is a charger on ebay that charges the tablet by just putting the tablet ontop of the charger but id rather see it working or atleast get some feedback from someone thats got one before buying one.
BTW:mines the wifi 2013 one,i think they call it the second edition cant find the box at the moment to check.

The dock for the new would be different to the old. The pogo pins are what touches the brass contact points on the device.

Anyway, the cheapest I've seen are $25 USD on Amazon and they include a cable as well.

not useless, just higher than you can comprehend.
there are many chargers out there, not many 4a. just use regular 2a... can't compare the cost and the trouble getting one!

Don't get a replacement or cheap cable. Go for original OnePlus cable.

Consider oppo's charger, it is also 4A, but you're gonna have to find the cable if you don't have it

Haha found it finally been resorting to using standard 2amp chargers still pretty quick at two hours

You can try oppo r7's charger (ak755), its “vooc charge” supports the dash charge as well.
But don't choose model ak775/ak779, though the oneplus3 shows dash charging while using these two, they charge slower than ak755...

I also purchased a DASH charger from Aliexpress (listing I've bought isn't online anymore). It's original, cost about 10USD and you can choose from flat or round cables.
China is of course the number one source for these products
