Fast Pin Unlock w/o Xposed? - Moto X Q&A

Currently trying to find a flashable mod or manual edit that will allow me to enter my pin and have it unlock without having to also hit enter. I know this is possible with Xposed, but I'm currently on ART and don't want to switch back.
Anyone got any ideas?

try to install an costume rom which dosent required full wipe, but remember it will void your warranty! And if you dont like costume roms, just flash stock rom using odin!

1.you can Hard reset to Unock(data will b lost)
OR
2.If you have installed Samsung a/c and set with samsung dive previously, you can unlock from there.
OR

Free version don't remove it.org just disable temporary. Add Samsung account n Samsung dive. Find my thread ' remote tracking note by Samsung' in general section

I made everything you said but the point is that i cant reset my password.
There is a forgot password option which shows up on the bottom, I believe.
You can select that and it will ask you to authenticate via your Google account, which then allows you to login.
You can then change / remove the passcode.

Phone app tries to get root permissions

Hello! Every day at 14:22 my phone wants to access root permisions, what is this and why it is for?
P.S. my rom is full stock with root access

Dunno but I can't see why the Phone app would need root so I'd deny that ****.

thats not an answer i was looking for
Without knowing the app, we cant answer What is the app name?
The fact that it is at a specific time, each day, is HIGHLY wierd.. Also, the app has NOT declared superuser permissions, this is sloppy at best, suspicius at worst. Also, it is a phone app, why need root permissions?
Install a root app (SuperUser by chainfire for example) that logs the request (the command it wants to run), to give us more to go on.
Kind Regards
TwinAdk
Im having same issue. "phone" is requesting superuser access. Im also getting "system_server" requesting superuser access once everyday. Just updated to 3.62.401.1. And recently installed Xposed framework. Im also using tasker and secure setting. Dont know if these app could be causing this. I dont see any details from supersu log except it attempted to get su access...

Re-root with Kingo then unroot with SuperSU. (Full unroot in the settings menu) After you restart the padlock should be gone. You may need to restart a second time so the system can switch back to Official status. I've done it twice now and it worked both times.

Download Wanam Xposed from the market. There's a hack in there to prevent the dreaded padlock
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using xda premium
Yup wanam solves it easily. First get Xposed framework, then install wanam, then in the security hack section in wanam, choose fake system status, reboot.

What IF they do a factory reset on the phone.....will this not just wipe the wanam exposed settings and BAM!!! the padlock will back and look even more like you messed up your phone?
i got my exchanged and had this same problem, they went through the phone scrupulously trying to find something that pointed to me tampering. they attempted to do a factory reset but with the state that i left my phone they could not even attempt that. but they tried, which will make your solution a Big Hell No once the reset brings that padlock back....they wont even talk to you anymore.

how did you reboot your phone? you have to use wanam's reboot option to do so, just so wanam can update things to the system. if you reboot by other means, especially by holding the power bottom and select reboot, it won't get ride of the pad lock.
We'll that explains it. In the mean time stupid AT&T updated my phone when I wasn't looking. I am now put to MJ5. I guess I can try to root with kingo.
Edessa Kingo will root MJ5. Im on MJ5 and rooted with Kingo. You may have to run program 5to6 times but it works

I got it to work by rooting and deleting busybox from system/bin and system/xbin. Which survives even after a factory reset. Was able to exchange the phone no problem after using full unroot from within SuPro. No padlock.

[Q] F'd up

So I f'd up my phone using Lucky patcher, not exactly sure what the exact cause is but any Google app/service is screed. I can't sign into my account so I've lost (play store, gmail, YouTube unless I unlink my acct. Etc.) I should probably mention that I'm on kitkat slapmymoto. I unlinked my Google acct uninstalled/wiped data from all Google apps, rebooted and tried to reinstall everything. Installs work fine but relinking my Google acct will not take. "Problem communicating with Google servers" is the error message I get. Is there a possible fix or a way to do a fresh install of kitkat rooted? Thanks for any and all suggestions!

Android Sdk platform tools, put your phone in fast boot mode plug it into your CPU, open a cmd window in platform tools (right click and shift makes it easy) remember Google search is your friend. Wait you already used fastboot to get your fast boot unlocking code
So you do know how to use it?

Sorry just realized you used slapmymoto, Google android SDK , within platform tools you will see a fastboot exe file, just right click and shift at the same time and a window will pop up with open up a cmd window here.
Put your phone into fastboot mode and plug it in and within the cmd window type in fastboot erase userdata. If it works it will erase everything and you should be able to boot normally

Went with option #1 and did rsd back to stock. Can't do anything right today....im back to 4.2 and trying to root using rockmymoto is not working(getting stuck on Cydia Impactor/Puttytel step. Not sure what im doing wrong. I do telnet in cydia and it works but as soon as it says "Waiting to complete it goes back to the options window and i have to restart....tried to time it with puttytel and i get the error from there that says "Network errorermission Denied"
EDIT: Somehow after rebooting my PC everything ran smoothly...kinda weird but hey ill take it!

Hypothetical Question

If one was to have SuperSu Pro with OTA survival mode, and update to KK would it work? Has anyone tried this?
Just a thought. :silly:
Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure the update will still fail around 27%. There was something floating around here that said rooting the phone removes a file or something that the update looks for before allowing it to completely install. Obviously you have to be rooted to use SuperSU, so it most likely won't work.
We have people who managed to get it to update while rooted in survival mode it took root but left supersu in the system now unable to delete or use
Sent from my XT907 using xda app-developers app
yep, i did this and now have supersu in /system/app and su in /system/xbin, but root doesn't work and i can't get rid of them. the only real downside i've found so far is Isis Mobile wallet thinks the phone is rooted and doesn't work.. but i don't use Isis anyway.
Oh OK, I was just wondering. Thanks.
