Hi,i founded this problem on the forum many times but i have a different kind of this problem and none of solutions i found dont work.
Own Samsung Galaxy S3 mini device with newly installed Cyanogenmod 11.
I wanted to change my boot animation logo so i replace the original one in the root directory [system/media/bootanimation.zip]
Then rebooted the device and just a black screen show up (before it shows the device name Samsung Galaxy etc ..)
I waited for few minutes and it wont boot up,but on touch it vibrate when i press some numbers on black screen.
I tried many ways to put original bootanimation file back...
Tried flashing bootanim. from recovery, nothing happens just black screen(now it wont vibrate on touch)
Tried replacing original bootanim. file in recovery mod throught file manager but i cant acces that folder because when i opened system i dont found media folder.
Tried accesing root folder via windows, cant because debugging is not enabled.
I dont want to reflash device again and lost everything,if someone have a solution please help.
Many thanks for fast replyes and sorry for my english.
This is the reason why you always should keep backups.
The only possible solution I know is reflashing the ROM (without doing a factory reset, so you won't lose your files) and wiping cache and dalvik-cache. This probably should work, otherwise you can try flashing it through Odin.

Hello
I am in a great panic mode.
I applied this lagfix : forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7587405&postcount=417 and since I did it I cannot use my phone.
I am not able to start my phone. It shows me Galaxy S logo, and after that I hear the start up music but nothing on the screen (no animation). Pressing hardkeys does not do anything either.
Above all I cannot even enter my recovery mode. When I press volumedown+poweron button, the screen keeps showing me Galaxy S logo and it does not go any further.
Please help me if you know how to getaround.
Were you rooted when yoou applied update.zip?
Anyway, did you try to shutdown the phone removing battery, and then try entering recovery?
the fix did not mention I had to root my phone, it said it would self install.
Yes I did shut down after removing the battery, and then I am trying to get into recovery using volumedown+poweron button but I am not able to get into it. All I see is Galaxy logo and hear start up music after that with nothing on screen.
OK, I am able to get into recovery mode.. I was trying wrong combinations
Now what should I select I get these options:
1. reboot system now
2. apply sdcard:update.zip (will never do this again)
3. wipe data/factory reset (should I do this)
4. wipe cache partition
yes.. you should do 3.) wipe data. If that doesnt solve your problem, you need to flash firmware agian

Why did you choose to install something not on main page, something obviosuly not very tested and something 2 month old (god knows there are close to ten newer or more tested fixes).
If you can access download mode, than reflash. If not... Well, try the exotic methods (dont know them, as I have working 3 butons)
Hey, for a second I thought it did noy fix my problem as I did not get my animation screen and ony heard music.. But then suddenly it starts up
I think I lost my animation on start up though
I still see that MCR Scripts icon on app loader screen, How could I know if its enabled or disabled?
Thanks a lot guys.. XDA rocks .

I regret doing something like that.. But it was really confusing as there are so many topics on the forum and I was really tempted to solve the lag issue I started facing recently (I installed too many apps).
hey i have the same problem.. my phone goes up into the Samsung logo and hangs there forever, occasionally blinking and making a weird vibration. i've tried factory reset but that doesn't help..
How do i flash firmware again?

Thanks in advance
Have you tried reflashing with another romhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136449)? Did you backup your efs folder (using for exemple nitrality), if you did, try restoring your efs folder.
Hi
I got a rooted Samsung galaxy plus 9001.
I installed font changer and busy box.
With the font changer i chose a ttf font from the internal memory card, and after applying it, i got the pop up menu reboot now.
After clicking on reboot now my phone stuck in reboot loop.
I can access android recovery menu, i treid wipe all user data but still stuck in reboot loop.
Please help me guys.
You'll have to reinstall the rom you were using... that should get you out of bootloop. If that doesn't work, do factory defaults (you'll lose all apps and settings!) and install the original rom again (or for instance XXKPS).
One more tip: always make a (cwm/feamod) backup before changing system defaults
Regards,
Nika.
Thank you.. Thanks alot

any link to step by step instructions on how to do this available anywhere?
i have similar boot loop problem.
I doubt anyone has created that. How did you get into the loop?

Boot Loop
When you are stuck in the boot loop:
1. Take out the battery and re-insert it.
2. Put the phone in download mode (using 3-button combo - down+home+power)
3. Open Odin, and reinstall the stock firmware (using all 3 md5 files: PDA, CSC and PHONE); you will be able to find the files in the stock firmware 2.3.5 from the post in XDA-stock gingerbread roms for i9000.
4. After you have done this, root your phone, install custom kernel, and then install custom firmware through custom recovery menu.
Thats the way i did it....i dunno if there is a short cut to it.
Hope it helps!
I also find bootloop can be resolved by going into download as stated by puneetgandhi and flash a VOODOO KERNEL using ODIN (it goes on PDA).
Then booting to recovery and turning off all lags.

No idea, it has been going in and out of boot loops a few times already for last few months works fine for ages. All of a sudden it would starts lagging on an app or when texting and reboots into a loop
although i never had the problem on froyo only in gingerbread (a few week or so after i got my phone back from repair shop, they upgraded it to gingerbread without my notification, but since i had voodoo on before on froyo i don't know, maybe they updated it wrongly ).
First time i fixed it with a fix on here about transferring a system file through odin.
second time it fixed itself after i left it for a day as i didn't have time to fix it .
this time i finally fixed it with a factory reset for the 4th or 5th time in a row, after wiping cache and so on, didn't work first few times.
So not sure whats causing it, could be a failing internal memory card i suppose or overheating corrupting the memory, hoping its a software issue that the factory reset will permanently fix (but doubt it).
If you were on Froyo, please look or create another thread for I9000 Samsung Galaxy S. This thread is about Samsung Galaxy S plus I9001... That's the device I own, and stuff like Voodoo and Froyo do not exist on SGS+ (and I have no experience with - probably other with an I9000/SGS do).
I've had a search but can't seem to find anything relating to this problem so to cut a long story short it's goes a bit like this;
1. Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 Stuck on boot 'Samsung' logo
2. It's not rooted on standard stock firmware (I think 2.3 ginger bread but not certain)
3. My mum has just given me the phone saying she was on the Facebook app it force closes and crashes
4. She reboots phone and is now in a constant boot loop hitting the O2 splash screen then the 'Samsung' logo which it never leaves only for it to reboot and do the same thing
5. I can put it into Android System Recovery however but have the following message at the bottom of the screen in yellow text which I don't know what it means;
--Appling Muti-CSC--
Can't access to '/syste,/csc/02u/system'.
6. Before I try a wipe data/factory reset is there anything I can do to try and fix it saving all data?
I just don't understand, she's not very good on the old tech so the phone is very basic so there is no need to worry about her messing with the phone rooting etc... so why has this happened its only 5 months - 6months old.
Any help is appreciated.
I think its a CSC error. Try to flash a new ROM via odin.
Maybe a CSC error. Here in Brazil, you need to flash the Vivo or Claro (operators) ROM first, or any other operator roms (like TIM) will not work, will bootloop. Search this.
before you flash a rom try clearing the cache partition in the recovery menu , its worked for me several times
Download stock rom for your region and flash it via odin...
Thank all for the reply I simply tried the reformat through the recovery menu first and it worked!
Hey people, I have been on this forum and using the CM12.1 ROM by New Maclaw since it came out, but I'm afraid my S3 Mini is dead now Saturday night it turned off by itself while charging, and it wouldn't turn on again. I let it charge a little, and after a while it turned on again, but was stuck on the CM12.1 boot animation. I tried rebooting multiple times, but it always got stuck on the boot animation. I tried booting into TWRP, but it got stuck on the Galaxy SIII Mini splash screen and wouldn't even go any further.
I was getting my hopes up when I saw download modus still working, so I flashed TWRP again with Odin, but nothing changed. I flashed the entire CM12.1 package again with Odin, but it had no effect whatsoever, can't boot into TWRP and regular boot is stuck on CM boot logo.
Since I had no options left, I decided to follow this guide: [GUIDE] Unroot / Unbrick, Flash official stock firmware on Galaxy SIII Mini GT-I8190 to flash original ROM again, first flashing the original recovery as linked in the thread, then the ROM itself, and checking after each step if anything changed. But even after I flashed the stock ROM, it would show the CM 12.1 boot animation on boot, and recovery was still not working at all. I continued by flashing the params.tar as linked in the post, but my phone still shows the CM 12.1 boot animation, and I can't get any further
What's really concerning to me is the fact that all the flash operations via Odin are going through, I get a PASS every time, but it doesn't seem to have any effect, so I'm afraid the memory chip on my phone has died There are so many great minds in here that know everything about this phone, maybe someone has an idea to help me get my trusted S3 mini back
Super weird. It's not soft bricked, it's completely f#cked up:laugh: OK, have you tried to remove the battery for some minutes!? Or go in recovery through adb instead!? If you have a backup (that's why, we always need a backup) maybe you can restore it through adb. Search on XDA for adb tutorials or something like that or some case like yours. I want to believe that you're not the first one with that issue. I know that's frustrating when we don't know what's going on. Good luck

I don't really care about backups, all my important data is on the SD anyway, I just want to bring the phone back to life if possible at all.
While on the CM12.1 boot screen I can find the phone with adb, but since I never set up adb my computer is unauthorized, and I can't authorize it without being able to boot. I'm not all that familiar with adb, I asked some people, but nobody has an idea how I can authorize my computer without having access to the phone system.
