[Q] overclock gpu to 400 mhz

hi guys,
I come from a gs 2 and i just bought a note and install alliance rom (gb)
what kernel can overclock the gpu to 400 mhz as the gs2 with siyah kernel and extweaks.

You should probably check in the Alliance Thread if it's supported and works ok, but I remember from my GB days that Abyss 4.2 (Redpill Touch) was about the best kernel you could flash for our Note...
Also when you say "overclock to 400 MHz"...I suppose that you're talking about the minimum frequency. You can overclock your minimum frequency with mostly any kernel that has root.
I use AnTuTu CPU Master from the Play Store. It's free and really easy and intuitive to use.

The only one I know of that allows GPU over clocking and voltage control is Thor kernel. Not found on xda as the creator is persona non grata. Google it.
I use the app Voltage Control to specify frequency and voltage settings, very useful. Give it a try.

He is saying GPU not CPU thus the 400Mhz.
I use Tegrak to oc the GPU with Franco kernel.

Yeah use tegrak overclock but m using Abyss kernel nd my phone is buttery smooth

i wanted to ask does overclocking the gpu help alot in games like more 10 fps ? and does it shorter the gpu's life ?

overclock cpu higher of 710 MHz

when i used the prime hd 8 in stock i can overclock that in hgher of 710MHz.
but now i use the gingerdx 28b and install the overclock module and setcpu app few days ago and i can't higher of 710 MHz overclocked.
why i can't ?

Search before posting. All other threads are now closed. Creating a thread for every small issue is not a solution.

It depends of your CPU. My cpu in MokeeOS 1.3 and nAa14 kernel is overclocking to 729 max. On 749 I've got a reboot.

I wear lewaOS overclock to 768MHZ and not having any problems and are going to make its performance be improved

how to overclock gpu

hi,
I've flashed ZG rom and I'm using "no frills cpu control" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.sineo.android.noFrillsCPU) for overclock CPU, but I don't have any ideas of what kind of sotware use for overclock GPU. any advices? is it already overclocked?

gpu cannot be overclocked without modding the kernel itself ,, but if u are using any custom kernel ZG or Hellmanor's kernel they both have gpu oc :good:

My SGS is running with Mackay Rom 4.9.7
With the Mackay Kernel, the device can't handle even -25 mv undervolt - it crashes when i load something CPU heavy.
1.4 , 1.3 , 1.2 , even 1.1 Ghz is not running stable for long load, i tried undervolt and even overvolt for all of this frequencies - it crashes and restarts.
Would you recommend me good kernel for maximum overclock of the device ?
I have searched on Google , but i can't find the information that i want - there is no list for kernels, kernel opinions and recommendations anywhere.

For me the only Kernel that looks stable overclocked (1.2 Ghz) is Semaphore. It's a normal thing for your device to crash on high frequencies. The lack of a cooler makes your CPU hot and in order to prevent damage it crashes. At 1.2 Ghz it should work fine without any crashes (as long as the CPU governor is set ondemand)

I use semaphore with stock volt and 1.2 Ghz SmartassV2 - Noop and it work flawlesly

Ehndroix V + Neo Kernel // CyanAOSP + CyanCore
Using Neo Kernel, probably the best kernel i ever used so far.
It bases on Linaro 4.9, while the most other Kernels sit at 4.7 still.
For Antutu it keeps up at its highest preset: 1.32 GHz (Intelliactive) and I/O: BFQ (Stock). Getting impressive 6059 points.
For daily use i have it at 1.2 GHz, had no crash yet.
The kernel runs butter smooth with Ehndroix V.
The Best Kernel for Gaming is probably the CyanCore Kernel, if you use it with CyanAOSP (comes Stock with CyanCore Kernel) its the smoothest gaming experience so far i had on this device after the Legendary GamerzRom..

Looking for a kernel with big OC

Hello, I want a kernel for my P990 (Slimkat 8.10, newbl, TWRP) which can OC the CPU to 1.7GHz or more (my p990 work at 1.5GHz with 1.2V, he can go at 1.7GHz with a true kernel) and OC the GPU to 425MHz or more like this :
