Looks like the KitKat update started pushing to non-rooted users on Friday. Just wanted to let everyone know. Should be version 4.06.651.4. Hit that update button if you are waiting.
This is not a question so it probably belongs in General. That said if you look in General there are 4 threads about this.

I noticed there wasn't a thread out here for us that are running stock. I reverted back to stock just to finally receive Kit Kat straight from Google. The purpose of this thread is to hopefully track when google begins pushing out Kit Kat to our Nexus 4's.:highfive:
So ladies and gentlemen, have any of you received it yet?

there were other threads like this one, but they all have been removed, just like this one will be. and no, there are no otas yet, expect it in the next several weeks.
You really need a thread on xda to know if you can update your firmware via OTA? I don't think so

My girlfriend has an AT&T Galaxy S5. She's on Android version 4.4.2 (baseband version G900AUCU2AND3, build number KOT49H.G900AUCU2AND3). She's rooted with towelroot.
She's very keen on updating to Lollipop. The reason for this is that she's a very avid photographer and takes many shots on her phone. She is REALLY interested in trying out the RAW image processing.
I'd just like to know if she can update and keep root. So if anyone could help me out here or point me in the right direction since I don't know my way around this forum, that would be fantastic. Thank you very much.
Once we get a leak or the actual release, we won't know what Lollipop will have in store for the Dev's root wise. Everything now is speculative though the International version(G900F) has had good success with root and Lollipop.

I'm sorry, I just saw something after a quick Google that led to believe there *was* a release. So you're saying as of now, there's no Lollipop on G900, root or not?

The g900f, which is the over seas version, has had a limited release with lollipop. AT&T version, G900A, does not have lollipop yet.

No AT&T release as of yet, and even when (IF) it does drop and IF root is obtainable it is a longshot whether or not we will have SafeStrap or any other type of custom recovery
Hi!
I follow a Mexican Twitter account called AndroidMX, the guy behind this website has posted a tweet with some screenshots related to the Lollipop update for the Note 4, seems to be Android 5.0.1
You can see the pictures here
The guy said in later tweets that he will leak the ROM within this week

Since when does Samsung release Lollipop for the Exynos variant first, it was always first released for snapdragon...ohhh let's wait and see.

Note 3 and s4 exynos variants already got 5.0 update before snapdragon.
Makes me want to re-reflect, which is better, Exynos or Snapdragon Note 4? *cough*
Peeps we already have a Lolipop thread there is absolutely no need of any other thanks. Will be closed soon as well. :-/
Mod Edit
As has been suggested , there is already a lollipop thread.
Please use it.

Hello,
This morning I received a new Android update on my sprint lg g4. I have not yet installed it. Just wondering if anyone has any information about it. I am already on 6.0.
I have my apn settings pinned and don't want to lose it due to an update. I am not rooted.
Any information would be helpful. Anyone else receive a new update?
Thanks all, have a great day!
Bumping this thread.

Sorry to be creating another Oreo thread but the ones I'm finding either aren't Sprint phones, are closed, or are months old with no replies.
Has anyone on Sprint with a note 8 gotten Oreo yet i heard the roll out would be starting in March.
Also can we expect an update to the Samsung experience version anytime soon?

That is full of way too many Oreo threads.
I think that we all will hear something about it from samsung itself first

Because it's in the q&a not everywhere else I don't mind all the oreo threads but there are more than enough in general sections

You do have to Odin back to stock and do the OTA update from the carrier if you want to receive OTA updates
